Leon did not waver and took the blow with the Mirror of Sovereign.
Meanwhile the Earthly Plunder tore through the weakest point of Gaston’s attack and darted toward
Gaston’s chest.
Gaston needed a defensive tool like Leon. On top of that he underestimated Leon and did not think
there was a possibility that Leon could withstand his attack.
Hence he was defenseless when Leon’s Earthly Plunder pierced through his true energy.
By the time he realized what was happening Leon’s Earthly Plunder was merely inches away from him
and it was too late for him to dodge.
“Oh no!” He paled.
However he was still a martial artist in the Semi-Almighty State and would not simply stand still when
under attack.
At the very last moment he summoned all the remaining true energy and tilted his body to avoid taking
the blow in the chest.
Leon’s attack ended up landing on his shoulder instead.
The Earthly Plunder struck and left a bloody wound on Gaston’s shoulder.
He grunted in pain and paled before backing up a few steps and falling onto the ground.
“What? Was he defeated? How’s that possible?” Everyone including Renee Bucky and Aurelia
rubbed their eyes in disbelief.
They thought that with Gaston’s power he could surely destroy Leon with ease.
To their bewilderment they could not have been more wrong.
Leon remained unscathed and even managed to injure Gaston with a single blow.
This was so surreal that they were all shaken.
Renee who thought that she knew Hugh and the extent of his power was initially devastated because
she thought Hugh was destined to die.
Yet a miracle took place and Leon somehow managed to defeat Gaston with a single finger.
Amid her shock she was both excited and pleasantly surprised.
“No this can’t be!” Gaston snapped out of it and held his shoulder as he struggled to get up from the
ground his expression dark.
Like the two older martial artists from the Grimstons he could tell that Leon was in the Advanced
Emperor State based on Leon’s speed and explosive power.
This meant that Leon was far weaker than he was and should not be able to fend off his attack.
To his bewilderment Leon succeeded in fending off his attack and even managed to injure him in the
process.
This was so surreal that he could not figure out how Leon managed to accomplish that and could not
bring himself to accept what just happened.
