Having almost lost the chance to work with Cynthion Group Caleb cherished the hope that Renee
salvaged.
He cast his ego aside and put on his most sincere attitude to fight for this opportunity.
Both the Dagleshs and the Morrisons showed extreme eagerness in the matter and Leon was at a loss.
From the Cynthion Group’s perspective the Morrisons were the head of all families in the western
region with great influence. On top of that Hugo already gathered all the herbs he needed to produce
the alchemical pills so almost everything was in place.
It may be more appropriate for him to work with the Morrisons.
However the Morrisons’ elders were far too arrogant and Jayden was a troublemaker. This left Leon
with a horrible impression and he was concerned that similar events would occur again once they
established a partnership. This would hardly benefit Cynthion Group’s future development in any way.
The Dagleshs on the other hand were honest and sincere. It would be a safer option to work with the
Dagleshs. However the Dagleshs were slightly less powerful than the Morrisons.
Furthermore they would need to search for the herbs they needed from scratch.
Despite how hard he considered both families had their strengths and weaknesses.
Instantly he found himself at a crossroads and he could not decide which family was the most suitable
partner for Cynthion Group.
Outside the room Leon the Morrisons and the Dagleshs completed the initial discussion of terms.
“Elder Morrison and Elder Daglesh you both seem very sincere and I can’t make a decision at this
moment. How about you go home for now? Give me some time to consider. I’ll give you an answer
within three days” Leon said thoughtfully and decided to give this matter more thought before making
the decision.
“Well sure! Mister Wolf well go now then” Caleb and the others said.
They all knew that this was a rather big decision to make and it was normal that Leon needed more
time to consider.
They could all empathize with that so they bid their farewell and left.
In the Morrisons’ mansion Caleb summoned all the elders over for a meeting in the main hall.
“Caleb welcome back! How did the discussion go?”
“Have we secured the opportunity to work with Cynthion Group?”
The elders asked hastily as soon as they arrived.
“Not yet” Caleb shook his head with a dark expression.
“Not yet?”
“That can’t be.”
“We’re already agreeing to the profit division Hugh proposed so why isn’t he agreeing to work with
US?” The elders were taken aback.
They all thought that with Caleb representing the Morrisons they should be able to secure the deal
now that they agreed to Hugh’s condition.
To their bewilderment they were wrong and Caleb did not manage to convince Hugh.
This caught them by surprise and they were all shocked.
