“Grandfather Mister Wolf said he is dealing with something important and won’t be back anytime soon.
Concerning the deal between US and Cynthion Group he asked US to go home and he will contact US
once he is back” Hugo explained.
“That’s strange. Mister Wolf came alone. He doesn’t have any connection in the western region so
what important matter can he possibly be handling?” Caleb frowned in confusion.
Naturally he did not know that Leon had run into an old friend from the Dragon Corps and wanted to go
to the branch. Hence he could not quite return to negotiate with the Morrisons.
“I don’t know. He didn’t say what it’s about” Hugo shook his head.
“Father it doesn’t matter what he is doing since he won’t be back anytime soon let’s go home”
Jayden said casually.
“But” Caleb hesitated. For a moment he wanted to leave and wait for Leon to return.
However when he noticed that the others were still waiting he soon realized something was wrong.
“Elder Daglesh Mister Wolf said he has something important to handle and can’t get back for the time
being. Why don’t we all go home and continue with this once he gets back?” Caleb said to the others.
“Um since we are already here I don’t mind waiting a while longer” Elder Daglesh said.
“Yeah!”
“Elder Morrison you can go if you want. We’ll wait here.”
The others agreed along.
They all knew that Hugh wanted to prioritize the Morrisons as potential partners and the others did not
have such special treatment.
If they left they might not be able to stand a chance so they could only wait to show how keen they
were.
When Leon returned and saw that they were waiting all day he might consider working with them and
they would stand a fighting chance.
“Father ignore them. If they want to wait here let them be! Let’s go!” Jayden said mockingly and
glanced at the others in contempt.
Hugo already made it clear that Leon could not return any time soon yet these people insisted on
waiting here.
From Jayden’s perspective they were being foolish and he could not possibly act the fool as well.
“You want to leave? Have you lost your mind?” Caleb’s face flushed with rage.
Despite what Leon promised the deal between Cynthion Group and the Morrisons was not sealed yet.
If the Morrisons left and Leon returned to find others he might just pick others to work with.
That would cause the Morrisons to completely lose the chance to work with Cynthion Group and Caleb
was not about to do such a thing.
At first the deal with Cynthion Group was almost theirs. However with Jayden’s interference Caleb
and the other elders plotted to obtain more profit and caused such a dilemma in the end.
He did this to himself and since he already made one mistake he was not going to repeat the same
mistake.
