“We are staying here as well. We aren’t going anywhere!” Caleb scoffed and made up his mind.
“What? No way!” Jayden was shocked.
“Why not? The others are staying as well so why can’t we?” Caleb asked in displeasure.
“But Mister Wolf already said that he won’t be back anytime soon. There’s no point for US to wait here.
Besides he is just the vice president and not the chairman. Why should we all wait here for a mere vice
president?” Jayden asked reluctantly.
He already learned that Leon was likely in the Peak Almighty state and dared not to look down on him.
If it was Leon himself visiting the western region he did not mind waiting here. However Hugh was
merely the vice president.
It was bad enough that they came for nothing so Jayden could not possibly accept waiting here for
someone with such low status.
“You fool! Shut up!” Caleb’s expression darkened and roared at Jayden.
He knew that Hugh was just the vice president and not the chairman. However it was precisely Leon
that he feared.
At the moment the deal with Cynthion Group was completely under Hugh’s control and all the other
families were staying to wait for him to work with Cynthion Group.
Without a choice Caleb could only wait alongside them.
However Jayden did not take Hugh seriously and even mocked him in front of the others.
This could put the Morrisons in a difficult situation as Hugh would never agree to work with them if what
Jayden said was relayed to him somehow.
“I” Jayden dared not to argue and quieted down.
“You are such a disappointment!” Caleb’s expression eased but there was a distinct look of
disappointment in his eyes.
Since Jayden’s talent surpassed that of Josiah Caleb and the elders had high hopes for Jayden.
There were even times when he considered training Jayden to be his successor. However after this
event he realized that Jayden was reckless and could not compare with Hugo or Josiah in terms of
perceptiveness.
Feeling disappointed he realized that he might need to reconsider who would take after him.
“What a shame!”
“It would have been great if the Morrisons left.”
Seeing as Caleb and the others intended to stay they were all slightly disappointed.
They would have preferred that Caleb took Jayden’s advice and left. Once they were gone the others
would stand a better chance of convincing Leon to work with them.
Unfortunately Caleb was not as foolish as Jayden and did not take his advice.
It was a shame but there was not much they could do.
As for the contemptuous words Jayden said about Hugh Caleb stopped him in time so others simply
felt that Jayden was a reckless man and did not think much of it.
With that Caleb and Hugo all stayed and waited for Leon to return.
