Episode 43 The Changed Journey (2)
A group of girls flocked to Ray’s side as he prepares to be homeless.
Four or so priestesses sat next to Ray with plain smiles.
“What are you doing, saint?”
Ray raised his head and looked at them.
Since that figure was also a picture, it was enough to make the priestesses’ eyes daze in an instant.
“I’m going to start a fire.”
In addition, despite being a saint, he is polite. That made them like it even more.
“Shall I bring a torch?”
“no.”
As Ray spoke, he opened up a bunch of chopped wood.
Then he chanted his magic as he threw it at the wood that had been shaped to light a bonfire.
“Fire.”
Roaring!
The priestesses were startled as they saw the fire engulfed in an instant.
Because of his young age, I thought he was simply an unbaptized saint.
But to use magic with only the starter word! Even if he hadn’t become a saint, he would have become a great mage with this level of skill.
“C2 master…!”
“Great!”
In addition, his profile could be seen naked because of the backlight of the fire.
It was enough stimulation to shake the priestesses’ vigilance.
Ray tossed the firewood one by one into the burning campfire.
‘I could feel their gaze from yesterday… These are the people responsible.’
He’s not stupid either. Manae is more sensitive than anyone else.
There was no way he couldn’t detect the secret glances of the priestesses.
If he was thirsty for love, he has become accustomed to the warm favor (?) from Aira.
It didn’t matter how the priestesses were careless.
As he continued to dig through the firewood without saying anything, the priestess summoned up courage to speak to him.
“If you don’t mind the saint, can we stay together?”
Even though the words were quite dark, Ray nodded his head.
It was only because he wanted to share the fire, but there was no particular reason to refuse.
The priestesses were visibly delighted.
“thank you!”
“thank you!”
Ray slightly moved away from them. He had become accustomed to being alone even in modern hospitals.
It was natural that he would be reluctant to have more people who care about him.
Seeing that, the priestesses must have felt it too. However, they didn’t care.
Rather, they were mesmerized by Ray’s profound eyes looking at the embers.
‘Wow… I know it’s blasphemous, but… gulp.’
‘God… I’ll do anything if you just let him be by my side.’
Their gazes as they prayed strange prayers to the god did not depart from his face as he quietly put firewood into the bonfire.
He was also charming in normal times, but seeing him sitting by the fire while sleeping together like this was like an Elyos from a myth.
For some reason, the pure white hair even felt sacred.
Ray prepared to boil the porridge, taking care not to let the fire go out.
Like when Iriel and I were sleeping together, I took a pot out of my backpack and poured water on it.
Of course, I didn’t draw water from the stream. Wouldn’t it be a waste of time to learn if you didn’t use the convenience of magic?
One word was enough.
“Water.”
Shoot it –
the water droplets that form on the top of the pot gather and become quite a lot of water.
The girls who watched it just looked at the shape they were doing in a strange way.
‘I won’t interfere.’
Looking at the atmosphere, I think I can cook quietly.
Other priests and paladins besides them looked on with interest as if the saint’s cooking situation was strange to them.
It felt strange because it felt like a spectacle.
I took out dried fruits from the food my mother had packed for me. They were shredded skillfully and the meat was added as well.
It wouldn’t be an incredibly delicious porridge, but it would still be perfect for a snack.
As the fragrant scent spread around, nature’s eyes were more focused.
They prepare meals too, but that pale porridge somehow tastes better than food made with good ingredients.
It was simple porridge with a side dish of scraps of grass that had nothing to do with food, but Ray hummed a song as he got excited while cooking.
The priestesses fed up and laughed at that figure.
It was because it was new to those who had seen and heard only one saint woman as a saint to see a new saint humming and making food.
The paladins also burst into laughter as they watched.
At first, I thought it was a crazy saint who put conditions on the saint and was hostile to them, but that wasn’t the case. they were looking at it wrong
A saint chosen and chosen by God. He smelled like a strong person who could not be hated.
So, more and more people gathered around Ray.
The priestesses asked for a favor, perhaps feeling the crisis.
“Saint! It’s really shameless, but can I just eat one bowl of that porridge?”
“Me too please! Holy saint!”
Rei smiled and said at the flood of requests.
“Does Seongguk really give you food?”
Aren’t they the same reactions as Iriel, who starved for three days?
Although the size of the pot was on the large side, it was impossible to feed them all.
So Ray only put a little porridge on their plates, just enough to taste it once.
They accepted it and slurped it, and they couldn’t help but admire it.
“It’s really plain!”
“…The aftertaste is slightly bitter, right? What did you put in it?”
“It’s nutritious food.”
Each of them poured out words of praise and smacked their lips.
It was really small, so I could only eat it once, but it was delicious.
They were too presumptuous to ask for one more, and they backed away at that point because they did not dare to touch the saint’s food any more.
Ray, who was kind to the way he kept the right as a person, said.
“Can you make more?”
“yes!”
“Then please me too, Holy Son!”
Even the paladins behind them noticed and raised their hands one by one.
I laughed because it looked like elementary school students eager to give a presentation.
Even the priest who appeared to have stolen food from the priest who was cooking while trimming ingredients and the paladin who showed up with a large pot without anyone telling them to do so. All were of one accord.
It was not difficult to make once all the ingredients were procured. Besides, porridge made properly in a big pot was really soft because it wasn’t porridge made from dried foods.
Not only the savory scent, but even the appearance caught everyone’s attention.
Having tasted and mastered both Michelin-starred food and top-notch hotel food in modern times, he never directly learned how to cook, but he looked over his shoulder.
Since he was a brainy person in the first place, he distinguished himself not only in medicine but also in learning other things.
One of them is cooking. During the month I spent treating her at Ira’s house, I researched herbs, edible plants and animals, and even what they tasted like.
It was easy for him as long as they made amazing porridge.
The priestesses were in charge of distributing the finished food into bowls. It is a great disrespect for them to ask to share the food for the saint, but their strong faith did not allow them to dare to even distribute food.
“Get your meal here!”
“Please stand in line! The quantity is sufficient! …maybe!”
Then there was a lot of uproar.
Those who briefly tasted the porridge made by Ray earlier used their divine power to stand in front of them unconditionally.
Seeing this, Ray murmured seriously.
“Maybe they don’t give you food in the real holy country…”
How much did they want to eat, so those who showed such restrained and well-rounded behavior in everyday life would have become mere beggars.
My head shook my head. At that momentum, the dead would see the bottom in an instant. Ray noticed and quickly prepared porridge for himself to eat.
Iriel also likes this porridge, so I thought it was time to show up, but for some reason, I didn’t see a single hair.
He had no choice but to look for her, and he moved his steps to the feeling caught on one side.
‘Are you having a conversation?’
Looking at the place where there were two or three people, there were priestesses who were different from the priestesses who served the porridge.
Since the number of threads engraved on the chest is different, it is probably a different rank or a different unit.
‘It wasn’t.’
As he was about to turn around, he stopped at the sound of them.
“You mean the new saint. I’m still young, isn’t everyone following me too much? You’re a child who can’t tell the difference to the extent of putting conditions on the Holy Land.”
“that’s right. Saint Iriel was even slapped on the cheek by the elf who was with her, but everyone seems to have forgotten about it.”
“I’ll find out anyway when I go to the Holy Kingdom. After all, the fact that he is a scarecrow saint…”
Hearing that, Ray laughed.
‘Look at these? Do you really see me as less than a hundred nine next door?’
In the past, no one could disrespect themselves like this. As a pronoun and prophet in the medical world, the number of people who owe him grace is numerous. There were not one or two people who said the wrong thing and disappeared without even knowing the mouse or bird.
How do I break these down? While thinking, I felt someone’s presence again.
As I held my breath and looked at it, Iriel popped out with a snap.
she said, looking at the priestesses.
“What about my cheeks?”
There was a smile on his lips.
There was nothing strange about her since she always smiled, but for some reason it felt stiff.
The hall quickly froze at the sound of a voice filled with laughter.
Ray got goosebumps.
Wasn’t it a situation where the boss was swearing at the company, but the boss was listening to it from behind?
As no one answered, Iriel’s bright smile gradually faded away and soon became cold.
“Why is the story of the saint and me being brought up? Anyone is fine, so please tell me.”
“….” ”
….”
“….”
The girls had no choice but to shut up at Iriel’s words. Even Ray, who was watching with bated breath.
She wasn’t her usual. In an instant, her mood returned to the time when the elves invaded the village.
Is this the savage (?) Saint Iriel who was laughing and chatting this morning?
“You don’t say… does that mean I can think as I please?”
One of the girls answered in a small voice to the cold voice.
“That’s… I didn’t like the behavior of those who forgot all of the saintess’ hardships…”
“What does that have to do with you?”
“…”
The atmosphere became quite serious. Even the Paladins were able to snoop around at the voice they heard.
Two young priests hurriedly ran to see if they had spotted them. They were probably in the role of a foreman who leads the lower ranks.
Priests stood on either side of the priestesses, not knowing what to do.
“I’m so sorry, saintess… I think these guys made a mistake when they were still too young… I’m sorry, what can I do without praying!”
Then, before they even had time to apologize, she smiled at the priests.
“Do you think it will end with an apology? Those who said that they made mistakes when they were young dared to ridicule the saint because he was a child who couldn’t tell the difference between the front and back, and talked about the scarecrow saint. Do you think an apology can solve this amount of blasphemy?”
She continued without finishing her words.
“If you really feel that way, please apologize. However, if the apology is not convincing enough to be forgiven, they will hand it over to the Heretic Judge directly under the Holy Kingdom. It will take a lot of things for those who spit out their carelessness to undo it.”
Ray looked at it and thought.
‘They said they couldn’t remember frog tadpoles.’
