Stefan’s face sank and he felt like scolding her. “So you regarded me as a dog all night?”

Silence ensued. Stefan felt the warmth from her body and smelled her soothing scent.
“I’m sorry.” After he regained his wits he carefully pushed her away.
“It’s fine. I know that… your body isn’t very good right now.” Renee felt a bit awkward as she
smoothed her clothes.
“That’s right. It’s all because of you and your brother.” His gaze was glued on her as he said
icily “So keep that in mind. You’ll always owe me!”
Renee was stunned. She had a glib tongue but she did not defend herself or argue with
him this time. She kept her head low and echoed his words”
Yes I’ll always owe you.”
Stefan lifted her chin and growled “So don’t think you’ll get rid of me that easily!
