“How’s it inappropriate?” Caleb and the elders were taken aback.
They all exchanged confused glances as they were unsure of why Jayden would object to this.
“Dad elders think about it. It’d require hundreds of millions for US to acquire a pharmaceutical firm. At
the moment we aren’t certain about our chances of securing the partnership yet we are already
spending a fortune on a pharmaceutical firm to present to Hugh as a gift. Don’t you think this is
ridiculous?” Jayden said.
“Well” Caleb and the others were instantly rendered speechless as Jayden was not wrong.
A business deal would always prioritize profits. The Morrisons were yet to secure the partnership but
were already planning to spend a fortune on a pharmaceutical firm for Hugh.
This was quite a price to pay and from a business perspective it was indeed quite ridiculous.
“Uncle you shouldn’t think of it that way. A few hundred million isn’t a small amount but it’d all be worth
it so long as we get to partner with Cynthion Group” Hugo said.
“That’s easy for you to say! Can you guarantee that we can partner with Cynthion Group after all the
money we spend?” Jayden sneered.
“Well I can’t guarantee anything. But Mister Wolf’s a reasonable and caring person! So long as we find
him a suitable pharmaceutical firm I’m pretty sure that he’ll work with us!” Hugo said.
He knew that Caleb and the others’ arrogance enraged Leon. Even if they acquired a pharmaceutical
firm now he could not guarantee that Leon
would agree to work with them.
However based on what he knew about Leon he was quite confident.
“Pretty sure? What good is that? If we spend all that money and we can certainly partner with Cynthion
Group I’d have nothing to say. However this is all just your speculation. First of all Hugh may not need
a firm and this is just a theory of yours. Besides even if he needs one the one we acquired may not
satisfy his needs! If we spend all the money and end up not getting the partnership who’s going to
compensate our loss?” Jayden said in contempt.
“Well” Hugo Caleb and the others fell into silence.
