“So he’s just a vice president from a small firm! Kid how dare you injure my son? You must be held
responsible!” The middle-aged man Gaston Grimston glared sharply at Leon.
He thought Leon was a member of one of the prestigious families in the western region and assumed
he merely fought Bucky over minor conflicts.
If that was the case he could not interfere with a duel between two young martial artists. Therefore he
did not do anything earlier.
To his surprise Leon was just a vice president of a small firm. Yet he dared to cross the Grimstons and
injure Bucky.
This was a blatant challenge and Gaston was furious.
“Mister Grimston I’m afraid I disagree with you! It was Mister Bucky and Miss Aurelia who bullied
Hugh yet you didn’t even bother asking our sides of the story before you held Hugh accountable! Don’t
you think that’s a bit inappropriate?” Renee stepped forward and defended Hugh with a displeased
expression.
“Miss Morrison!” Gaston turned his head and finally noticed Renee.
Instantly he was confused as to why Renee was there.
“Uncle Hugh’s Renee’s boyfriend” Spotting the confusion on his face Aurelia explained.
“I see! It’s no wonder that he dares to cross the Grimstons. So he has the Morrisons backing him up!”
Gaston’s expression darkened as he assumed that Leon was relying on the Morrisons.
It made sense as a mere vice president would not dare to cross the Grimstons otherwise.
Still it did not matter if Leon had the support of the Morrisons. Though the Morrisons were the most
powerful family in the western region the Grimstons’ influence and power were close behind so they
did not fear the Morrisons.
Besides Leon was just Renee’s boyfriend and there was no telling if he would get to marry her.
Gaston held a high status and even Renee could not rival him in that aspect let alone Leon who was
yet to tie the knot with her.
Hence he did not see Leon as a threat.
“Kid out of respect for the Morrisons I’ll give you a chance. Let Bucky go now and break one of your
arms as an apology. That way I won’t hold you accountable for injuring Bucky. Otherwise I’ll show you
just how foolish it is to cross us!” Gaston stared maliciously at Leon.
“What? You want me to break my arm as an apology? What a joke!” Leon laughed angrily.
He thought that a senior like Gaston would be more reasonable and would not be as reckless as
Aurelia or Bucky.
However it seemed as though he was wrong.
Gaston judged him guilty without learning about the situation and now asked him to break his arm to
apologize to Bucky.
This simply proved that he was just as unreasonable as Bucky and Aurelia or even more so.
Leon was furious.
