“What? Mister Wolf you want to hire me as the vice president and you are paying me 300 thousand a
year? Am I hearing you right?” Harley was shocked and could not believe what she was hearing.
She was just a saleswoman in the shop and was not paid much.
Her monthly income would often be around a thousand a month even when she included commissions
and bonuses.
She was too young and graduated from university just two years ago.
Without much experience and background she was already fortunate that she found a job.
Though the pay was not satisfactory she was content.
To her surprise she found herself encountering great fortune.
Leon intended to hire her as the vice president for the western region branch of Cynthion Group and
even offered to pay her 300 thousand a year.
It was an amount that someone like her would never imagine earning so she was shaken to the core.
If she had not heard him in person she would never have believed it to be true.
“You heard me right! I do want you to join Cynthion Group. I’m just not sure if you’re willing to join.”
Leon smiled.
“Of course I’m willing to join” Harley nodded her face flushing from excitement as joy filled her heart.
Given her circumstances she would have never reached just a high position no matter how hard she
worked if she did not have the help of someone powerful.
However she was lucky enough to run into Leon and his proposal saved her decades’ worth of hard
work.
This sort of luck would not just fall upon anyone and there was no way that she would reject such an
offer.
“But Mister Wolf I’m too young and don’t have any related work experience. I don’t think I can handle
the position of vice president” She recovered from the overwhelming excitement and said hesitantly.
“It’s fine. I have faith in you. Just work hard and you should be able to fulfill the role!” Leon said with a
smile.
Though he was worried that Harley could not handle the duty of being the vice president she was
professional and humble. Instead of getting overwhelmed by his offer she quickly recognized her
shortcomings.
A person who could reflect on themselves was bound to improve in the future so long as they work
hard.
Instantly Leon’s faith in Harley grew and he believed she would be able to manage the western region
branch of Cynthion Group.
“Sure! I’ll work hard to fulfill your expectations!” The look in Harley’s eyes became determined.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and she could not let it slip away.
Leon’s words of consolation and trust gave her strength and she decided that she would hold onto this
opportunity with everything she had to repay Leon.
“Alright then! Let’s exchange numbers. I’ll notify you once we start establishing a branch here!” Leon
smiled with approval.
With that the two proceeded to exchange numbers.
