“Here’s the thing I’d like to have this green jadeite cut into nineteen plates of equal sizes. I wonder if
there’s any expert you know who can help me with it. I’ll pay the service charge” Leon said.
Though cutting jadeite was not all that challenging it would be more appropriate to have an expert
perform the task.
“Sure. That’s not a problem! Please give me a moment and I’ll call an expert over now” the
saleswoman said.
Then she went to the back of the shop and returned with an expert who divided the green jadeite into
nineteen pieces according to Leon’s request.
Once it was done the saleswoman even took out a few beautiful gift boxes to pack the jadeite plates
up before handing them to Leon.
“Sir is there anything else you need?” she asked with a smile.
“Not really! By the way my name is Hugh Wolf. What’s yours?” Leon asked.
“Oh hello Mister Wolf. My name is Harley Stoll.”
The saleswoman had a good impression of Leon and Renee so she did not hesitate to answer his
question.
“Miss Stoll there’s something I’d like to discuss with you. Cynthion Group is currently preparing to open
a branch here in the western region and I need to hire new talents. I think you’d make a perfect fit and I
want to hire you as the vice president of the western region branch to take over operation and
recruitment. As for your pay let’s just set it at 300 thousand for now. Depending on your performance
I’ll give you a raise accordingly. What do you think?” Leon asked.
He came to the western region to expand Cynthion Group’s market and also to build a branch here.
However he had no connection in the western region and if he wished to establish a branch he would
need to recruit a lot of people.
Harley gave him a decent impression.
Despite Bucky and Aurelia’s rude attempt to take the clear jadeite away from Leon Harley remained
professional and did not sell the jadeite to them simply because they offered to pay more.
Toward the end it was only when Leon gave up on the jadeite that Harley reluctantly sold it to Bucky
and Aurelia.
He admired her professionalism.
On top of that she was modest polite and careful which meant she showed great potential.
Hence he had the idea of recruiting Harley.
His only concern was that Harley was too young and may not be able to manage the western region
branch. Hence he decided to make her the vice president so that she could take care of recruitment.
That way he would be fully prepared for the opening of the branch in the western region and he could
also take this opportunity to observe Harley.
If Harley proved herself to be capable he could simply make her the president and leave the western
region branch in her hands. If Harley was incapable of managing the task he could simply search for
someone else and keep her as the vice president.
