“Why you! Very well! You asked for this! I’m curious to see how someone like you can gather 50

million!” Bucky laughed angrily.

Though the Grimston were powerful with wealth reaching hundreds of millions they did not have much

liquid funds and it was shared among all family members.

It did not belong to Bucky alone.

Direct descendants like him and Renee often had access to around 50 million at best.

Since Leon raised the price to 50 million this surpassed Bucky’s capability and he could no longer bid

against Leon.

Hence he intended to give up so that Leon suffered the consequences of his actions.

Leon was just a vice president and not someone from a prestigious family so he did not believe that

Leon had that much money to begin with.

If Leon failed to pay 50 million he would make a fool of himself.

“Bucky are you going to give up on bidding? No way! Don’t worry. I have money and you can keep

bidding” Aurelia said.

She only started bidding against Leon to humiliate Leon and Renee.

Hence she was reluctant to let Bucky give up.

Naturally she knew that 50 million was a large amount since Bucky already spent 9 million on the

previous piece of jadeite.

She assumed that Bucky no longer had the money to bid against Leon.

However as the eldest daughter of the Underwood she had free access to around 50 million as well.

Unless Leon raised the price to 70 million she could still support Bucky and they would not lose.

“It’s fine. That won’t be necessary. This guy is from a humble background so he definitely can’t afford to

pay that much. He’s just raising the price to set us up. We’d walk right into his trap if we kept bidding.

Besides 50 million’s too much. If he cant afford to pay I’ll show him the consequences of bidding

recklessly” Bucky said maliciously.

Leon repeatedly raised the previous clear jadeite’s price and cost Bucky 9 million.

Now that Leon was using the same trick against and bidding against him he assumed Leon would give

up so long as they kept bidding.

Once that happened he would have fallen for the same trick twice and that would be beyond foolish.

On top of that the green jadeite was not that precious and held no actual value fortheir families.

If they continued to bid and ended up paying a fortune for a piece of jadeite they would surely be

punished and even grounded by their seniors.

This would not benefit Bucky and Aurelia in any way.

Hence he might as well give up on bidding before Leon.

If Leon failed to pay 50 million he would embarrass himself in front of everyone and Bucky could use

this as an excuse to humiliate him to retaliate for what happened earlier.
