“No! You two are mistaken. I’m just Miss Morrison’s friend not her boyfriend” Leon said before Renee
could answer.
“What? Is it embarrassing to be my boyfriend? Do you not think that I deserve you?” Renee’s
expression darkened.
As the most beautiful woman in the western region countless young bachelors fawned over her and
they all were desperate to date her.
Leon on the other hand jumped at the first chance to deny dating her back when Joshua and Ariella
mistook him for her boyfriend.
Now that Bucky and Aurelia thought the same he reacted the same way as though she was not a
worthy match for him.
She took it personally as an insult and given her prideful nature she got frustrated and shot Leon a
dark look.
T” Leon was taken aback by Renee’s reaction.
He was not her boyfriend to begin with and merely stated a fact so he did not know why Renee was
mad.
However he spent enough time with his confidantes in the past and knew women well enough to stay
quiet when they were mad.
Hence he quieted down and did not argue with Renee.
“Miss Morrison your boyfriend is so weird! Maybe he doesn’t think he deserves you and doesn’t dare
to admit your relationship!” Aurelia smirked mockingly.
Though Leon denied it Renee was someone of exceptional beauty and status. She refused to believe
that Renee would accompany someone unrelated to the shop early in the morning.
Normal men would not get Renee to put in much effort so Aurelia was certain that the two of them
were dating.
Therefore she assumed Leon refused to admit it in public because of his inferior complex.
That seemed to be the only reasonable explanation.
“Miss Underwood I don’t really think it’s any concern of yours if Hugh is my boyfriend. Don’t you think
you’re a bit out of line here?” Renee said with displeasure.
She was no fool and sensed the hostility in Aurelia’s tone. Not wanting to waste her time explaining
she retorted without mincing her words.
“Well” Aurelia froze and was instantly rendered speechless.
After all Renee was right and this was none of her business.
“Sir I’m sorry for the interruption. Do you still want this piece of jadeite?” Just then the saleswoman
chimed in.
Though Leon clearly stated that he wanted to jadeite he was not able to pay due to Bucky and
Aurelia’s sudden appearance.
The saleswoman was not certain if Leon wanted it still and decided to ask him again.
