“Hugo’s right! The alchemical pills produced by Cynthion Group are highly profitable.”
“We must find a way to work with them. We can’t let them work with the Dagleshs instead!”
The elders immediately agreed with Hugo.
“So now you finally know that it’s important to work with Cynthion Group. What were you all doing at
the beginning then? When Hugh came to the mansion to discuss terms with you neither of you agreed
to it. You brought this all upon yourselves! Renee scoffed and shot the elders a mocking look.
“Well” The elders were all rendered speechless as what she said was the truth.
If they did not act so arrogantly and attempted to profit more from Hugh they would be Cynthion
Group’s official partner by now and would not need to compete against the Dagleshs.
Therefore none of them could argue with Renee.
“Renee don’t blame them. They aren’t the only ones responsible. I played a part in this as well! If I
listed to Hugo from the start things wouldn’t have worsened to this extent” Caleb sighed guiltily.
After going through so much he finally realized that he was wrong but it seemed to be too late.
“Caleb what should we do now?” the other elders asked unsure of what they should do.
“I don’t know. I called you here to discuss a solution. Does any of you have
a good idea to beat the Daglesh to obtain the opportunity to work with Cynthion Group?” Caleb shook
his head and explained his intention to summon the elders.
Though Hugh gave the Morrisons another chance and allowed them to compete with the Dagleshs
under Renee’s effort Caleb knew that they offended Hugh repeatedly and left a horrible impression.
The Dagleshs would surely be at an advantage and the Morrisons would need to find a way to defeat
them.
If they simply sat on their thumbs Hugh would likely choose to work with the Dagleshs in the end and
Caleb could not let that happen.
“Well” The elders exchanged glances and recognized Caleb’s concern.
They all fell into silence as they contemplated if there was a way to obtain the opportunity to work with
Cynthion Group before the Dagleshs.
Shortly after the eldest elder said hesitantly “Caleb I haven’t come up with any good idea but Hugo
knows Mister Wolf and they are somewhat close. Why don’t we send Hugo to speak with Mister Wolf in
private? Perhaps Mister Wolf would choose to work with US out of respect for their friendship.”
