‘This is indeed your fault Jayden! It’s a good thing that Renee managed to get us another chance and
there’s still hope that we can work with Cynthion Group.”
‘We hope that you can learn from your mistakes.”
The elders sighed.
Jayden was a talented martial artist and they all had high hopes for him.
Though Jayden came close to messing up the deal between the Morrisons and Cynthion Group they
did not reprimand Jayden harshly and simply reminded him to to not repeat the same mistake.
“I-” Jayden’s expression darkened.
He thought that he only acted out of concern for his family’s gain as he wanted to fight for more profit
for the Morrisons. At the time most people agreed with his point of view and that was why he decided
to tell Leon about it.
However everyone ended up blaming him for it and he could not figure out why.
Still he could tell that Caleb was furious and dared not to argue further to avoid enraging him further.
In the end he could only swallow his pride and quiet down.
“Alright! Go back to your room. You’re grounded for a month. Reflect on your own mistakes. You are
not to come out until you recognize your mistakes!” Caleb roared.
At the same time he regretted agreeing to Jayden’s request and bringing him to the hotel to meet with
Hugh. If he refused Jayden the situation would not have escalated to this point.
However it was all too late.
Jayden was still his son and he could not do much to punish him.
However Jayden did come close to ruining the Morrisons’ chance to work with Cynthion Group. This
would have cost them tremendous loss so he decided to ground Jayden for a month.
‘But I- Okay.” Jayden opened his mouth hesitantly.
Though he did not think he did anything wrong being grounded for a month was not a big deal. To
avoid enraging Caleb further he reluctantly accepted the punishment.
With that he left to reflect on his mistakes.
Once Jayden was gone Hugo consoled Caleb and changed the subject back to the deal with Cynthion
Group. “Grandfather calm down. It’s already happened and it doesn’t matter if it’s Uncle’s fault. Right
now we need to find a way to beat the Daglesh to work with Cynthion Group.”
Compared to how Jayden was punished it was far more important to consider how they could defeat
the Dagleshs.
Hugo put a lot of effort into securing a deal with Cynthion Group and he did not wish for that opportunity
to be given to the Dagleshs in the end.
