“Why you-” Caleb and the others were all furious.
They only listened to Jayden’s advice earlier because they thought Hugh was just a lowly vice
president with no connection in the western region.
On top of that they were all losing patience from waiting too long. Hence they started thinking if they
could obtain more profit from Hugh by teaming up against him.
However the circumstances changed.
Hugh was close with the Dragon Corps and if they tried to scheme against him they would only end up
suffering.
Hence they all gave up on plotting against Leon yet Jayden could not tell the situation and mentioned
the last thing he should say.
He even went as far as to mention that they were going to team up against Hugh and this placed the
others on the spot.
What frustrated them most was that they could not quite argue with what Jayden said because it was
true.
“Elder Morrison what exactly is the meaning of this? Mister Hugo called me saying that you’ve already
agreed to my conditions yet you go back on your own words and greedily ask for fifty percent of the
total profit. Are you messing with me or something?” Leon laughed angrily and shot a dark look at
Caleb.
He told everyone in the past that he would prioritize working with the Morrisons.
He was a man of his word so he did not accept Fletcher and Howard’s help when they offered to
introduce him to more resources and people.
Yet the Morrisons went back on their words and attempted to profit even more.
This completely enraged him and he was extremely disappointed in the Morrisons.
“I- Mister Wolf it’s just a misunderstanding. Jayden’s just talking nonsense. I don’t agree with any of it”
Caleb said his face flushing.
Though having equal division of profit was Jayden’s idea and not his he did not oppose it at the time.
On top of that Jayden was his son so his words represented the Morrisons.
Therefore Caleb could not quite defend himself when facing Leon’s confrontation.
“I can say the same about you all! I thought that you sincerely wanted to work with Cynthion Group.
You knew that a fifty-fifty division isn’t fair for Cynthion Group yet you tried to team up to force me into
agreeing to such an unfair condition. Don’t you think you are out of line here?” Leon’s sharp gaze
swept through the others.
“We-” The others were rendered speechless and all whined inwardly about how Jayden’s stupidity got
them in trouble.
“Mister Wolf please calm down. Mister Morrison was just joking about dividing the profit equally. We
didn’t take it seriously” Seeing tension rising Jensen stepped forward.
He was hardly lying.
When Jayden was trying to convince the others about his plan both Jensen and his grandfather did not
agree with it.
The others might have taken Jayden’s words seriously but the Dagleshs did not.
Naturally he could not simply undermine the others just to showcase how sincere the Dagleshs were.
Hence he tried to smooth things over and appease Leon’s anger.
