“Fletcher what’s wrong with you? We need to go back and report to the captain. You are wasting time!”
Howard was annoyed.
Inviting an outsider to the Dragon Corps branch was already inappropriate. On top of that Fletcher now
wanted to go to the Feaks’ mansion with Leon and delay reporting the situation to their superior.
Howard was displeased and he could not quite understand what Fletcher was thinking.
“Howard I’m sorry but Mister Wolf is special. If you are in a rush you can go back and report to Mister
Orpwood. Just leave me behind.” Fletcher smiled sheepishly.
Leon worked alone to eliminate the Poisonwielder and ever since Mister Orpwood found out about it
he wanted to meet Leon in person and now was his chance.
Mister Orpwood would likely not blame Fletcher if he returned to the branch slightly later if he managed
to bring Leon with him.
Hence Fletcher was not worried.
Naturally Leon did not want his identity to be known and Fletcher felt that it would be inappropriate to
tell Howard the truth without Leon’s permission.
For the moment he could only be vague with his words.
“You! Forget it! The Feaks’ mansion is along the way anyway. I’ll come with you” Howard said with
displeasure.
With that Leon Roman and the others left.
Meanwhile in the Morrisons’ mansion.
This was the day of the family meeting.
Early in the morning Caleb the elders and other important members all arrived in the main hall for the
meeting to talk about ongoing family affairs and the recent development of the family businesses.
“Alright let’s start the meeting! Please feel free to give any advice or share challenges you face” Caleb
said authoritatively.
Hugo was the first to stand up. “Grandfather I would like to speak. Please make up your mind as soon
as possible about the deal between US and Cynthion Group or we might miss a great opportunity.”
He knew that Cynthion Group held great potential and that working with it would only benefit the
Morrisons.
Out of concern for the greater good Hugo wanted Caleb to set aside his pride and accept the
conditions Leon proposed. If they waited any longer something else may happen.
“Hugo this again? I thought we’d already reached a consensus yesterday!” Caleb frowned.
The profit Leon offered was far too low and Caleb wanted to ignore Leon for a few things to make him
cave. However Hugo kept trying to convince Caleb to reconsider and even analyzed the benefits of
working with Cynthion Group.
Ultimately Caleb decided to send one of the elders to the southern region for a further investigation
into the Cynthion Group.
However the elder did not even return yet and Hugo was already pressing on the issue.
This annoyed Caleb and he felt that Hugo was uncharacteristically reckless in this matter.
