“Everyone thank you for your appreciation! As for the collaboration we’re currently in negotiation with the Morrisons. If a consensus cannot be reached well surely select one of you to work with” Leon said thoughtfully.
Upon his earlier discussion with Caleb and the elders they all acted arrogantly and left a horrible impression. However out of respect for Hugo and Renee Leon decided to give the Morrisons a few more days to consider.
If they continued to refuse his proposal for the division of profit he would give up on working with them and choose another family to work with.
“Hugh thank you” Renee sighed a breath of relief and shot him a grateful look.
She knew that there were plenty of influential families apart from the Morrisons in the western region and Cynthion Group could have worked with any of these families.
However Leon rejected the others and was willing to give the Morrisons another chance to honor his promise to Hugo. This was extremely generous of Leon.
“Alright then!”
“Mister Wolf well be waiting for news from you!” the others said.
Though Leon denied their requests they did not give up yet.
Since this was a matter of great profit they hung onto the hope that Cynthion Group may fail to reach an agreement with the Morrisons.
They all assumed that Leon was Renee’s boyfriend yet the Morrisons did not establish any partnership with Leon which meant that there was a conflict of interest. Hence the two may not be able to reach a consensus.
Once the deal between Cynthion Group and the Morrisons was off the others would stand a chance in working with Cynthion Group.
“Alright. Hugh the banquet’s about to end. Let’s just head back now!” Renee could not stay any longer worried that the others would keep trying to convince Leon to work with them.
If Leon changed his mind and chose to work with other families this would be a huge loss to the Morrisons. Hence she prepared to leave with Leon as soon as possible to prevent any accidents.
“Mister Wolf why don’t I send you and Miss Morrison back?” Jensen proposed.
He knew that Felton resented Leon for embarrassing him.
Felton was a member of the underground society and was always ruthless so there was a chance that he might attack Leon.
Out of concern for Leon’s safety and gratitude for the pill he received from Leon Jensen decided to leave with Renee and Leon. With him and Renee protecting Leon Leon should be safe.
“Sure whatever. I don’t mind anything” Leon shrugged.
He only came to the banquet to purchase rare herbs. Now that his goal was achieved and he successfully promoted Cynthion Group there was no reason for him to stay any longer.
As for the threats Felton threw at him Leon did not fear anything. Since Jensen proposed to send him back he had no reason to turn him down.
