“Why not? Mister Wolf these fifteen types of herbs all have different effects. If you want to enhance your power not all of them will work for you. If you could sell me one of the herbs I’ll owe you one and help you whenever you are in need” Jensen said.
Though he did not know why Leon needed so many herbs he knew that Leon should only need one or two herbs if he needed to enhance his power or promote his health.
It seemed like a small favor for Leon to sell him one of the herbs.
The others were already displeased that Leon bought all the herbs. However they were all from honorable families. On top of that Leon was Renee’s boyfriend so they would not dare to harm Leon.
However Felton was different.
He was a member of the underground society and always got his way. He already took the opportunity and attempted to take the herbs away by force.
It seemed impossible for a mere vice president to rival Felton who had high status and power in the Intermediate Emperor State.
If Leon was willing to sell him one of the herbs he would be in debt to Leon. With both Jensen and Renee protecting Leon Felton would not be able to harm him.
This would be a great bargain for Leon.
“No! Mister Daglesh to be honest I bought these herbs to produce alchemical pills. I can’t sell you the herbs” Leon rejected his request once again.
He could tell that Jensen wanted to purchase the herbs to enhance his power. An idea came up and he was about to say something when Jensen interrupted him.
“Alchemical pills? Mister Wolf I don’t care what you want to do. Are you not going to sell me at least one type of herb?”
Jensen’s expression darkened. He never heard of Cynthion Group and did not know about the alchemical pills.
All he knew was that he risked angering Felton to stop him from harming Leon. However Leon refused to sell just one herb to him.
This seemed ungrateful of him and he was instantly enraged.
Spotting the angered expression on Jensen’s face Renee immediately explained in Leon’s place “Mister Daglesh you’ve misunderstood him. Hugh isn’t reluctant to help. He purchased these herbs to produce Energy Nurturing Pills. These pills can aid martial artists’ training and enhance our power. There’s no need to spend so much money on herbs.”
Jensen and Felton were both direct descendants of powerful families in the western region. Their status and influence rivaled that of hers.
Leon already crossed Felton and she did not want him to anger Jensen as well. Otherwise Leon would suffer even with her protection if he crossed two elites from powerful families at the same time.
