# 99
99. Niflheim (11)
I woke up early in the morning.
The look of the room is now familiar. As I got up and got dressed, I heard a knock.
“Are you awake?”
“You may come in.”
Nisled came in and immediately started making the bedding.
I’ve already cleaned it up once, but Nisled got the perfect angle down to the smallest details.
“Do we really have to do that? It’s the same when you lie down.”
“It’s courtesy to Master.”
Nisled smiled faintly.
“Well, that’s it. Get rid of that illusion. I’m going out myself,”
I said, looking at the mist rolling in from one side of the room.
The fog shimmered in the shape of a man.
[Are you going to training this time?]
“For mid-term check-up. I have something to talk about with the other guy. Take out the morning. I have work in the afternoon.”
[As commanded.]
The fog disappeared.
In the meantime, I entrusted all the education except for the first day to the welcome, but today I have a different idea. I grabbed the sheath and left the room. A shield in the corner stood out. After a moment of hesitation, I left the room without raising my shield.
When I went down to the drawing room on the 4th floor of the annex building, Jenna and Aaron were waiting for me.
Received two greetings. Jenna, who was looking at me blankly, tilted her head.
“Brother, you look a little different today, don’t you?”
“what?”
“What is it?
I have a sharp sense.
I chuckled. I sensed Yurnet’s magic, at least by feeling.
On the other hand, Aaron next to him was looking at Jenna with an expression that he did not know what he was talking about.
“I’m starting to get tired of classes. I feel like my body is stiff after being stuck like bean sprouts for about 10 days.”
“It’s formation class from today. It will be a little different.”
Formation class cannot be done only with theory.
It will be conducted concurrently with practice. The formation training I did in Taoneer was based on what I was doing at the training center in Niflheim.
“But there’s something strange. The things my older brother told me in class so far came out exactly as they were. Like tweezers.”
Jenna whispered.
‘Isn’t that a sharp level of intuition?’
I ended up laughing.
It doesn’t matter. I was prepared for the fact that half of my identity would be discovered from the time I brought him here anyway. It’s just a matter of being late or fast.
‘You know I’m different from an ordinary hero.’
Even if it wasn’t Jenna, unless you’re an idiot, you have no choice but to know.
He knew in detail the information about Pick Me Up that the heroes did not know, and actively used it for growth and missions. I didn’t even try to hide it. Then when you die, nothing happens.
On the way to class after breakfast.
I said to Aaron who was walking next to me.
“Aaron.”
“yes.”
“Come out to the backyard of the annex when today’s schedule is over.”
Aaron looked at me and blinked.
“Brother, what are you doing?”
“Didn’t you learn everything you need to learn? The future formation training will be the things we tediously ran around. It’s a waste of time.”
“But, we…”
“I’ll know when it comes out.”
“Ah, I see.”
Aaron nodded.
I wish I knew I looked away. The instructor was looking at me with cold eyes. It seemed like a joke. I pretended not to know and walked quickly.
Morning class is over.
From the afternoon, the vision of Yurnet takes my place again. I thought about going up to the 13th floor and mixing the Lidigion and the sword, but I stopped. The time until Aaron comes is not long. I decided to wield the sword alone in the backyard.
When I devoted myself to training for an hour or two like that,
[I opened the dimensional door leading to Master Muden.]
“Good job.”
I heard Yunet’s voice.
Nisled held out a towel and water from the side. I wiped my sweat with a towel and drank some water. Footsteps were heard coming from the entrance of the yard.
Nisled took a few steps away from me.
It was not hidden.
After a while, Aaron came into the backyard.
Aaron’s gaze turned to me and to Nisled beside me.
A question mark appeared in his eyes.
“older brother?”
“Yurnet, the portal.”
through.
Fog gathered and formed a door.
“Follow me.”
I stepped through the portal.
A soft sensation ran through her body, and the scenery changed. It was Yurnet’s garden.
Yurnet, who was sitting in the shelter in the middle of the garden, got up.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve visited.”
Yurnet smiled.
“You know, we have guests.”
“Yes. Taoni’s colleague.”
through.
The fog dispersed in all directions.
I looked back. Aron with a bewildered expression was walking out of the portal.
“Dae, where the hell is this place?”
“The thirteenth floor of Niflheim. The Garden of Fog.”
Nisled, who was behind him, replied bluntly.
“The thirteenth floor… is that where the strongest people live?”
“By and large, the correct answer.”
Aaron, who was looking around blankly, met my gaze.
“Brother….”
“This person calls the Master his brother.”
Yurnet came forward.
Facing Aaron, Yurnet lightly bowed her head.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Yurnet Sid. Master’s right-hand man.”
“My right arm is Siris-sama…”
Yurnet laughed and Nisled hesitated.
Aaron stared at Yurnet with his mouth wide open, then shook his head.
“How did this happen…”
said Aaron.
“I don’t understand the situation.”
“Didn’t you want to be strong, Aaron?”
I met Aaron’s eyes.
“No matter what you do or how you endure. I’m going to do whatever you want.”
“Your brother is…”
You must be wondering who I am.
Aaron was looking at me with complicated eyes.
I didn’t answer. If you stay here, you will know naturally.
“The reason you called me here is to keep that promise?”
“okay.”
I said.
“What if I refuse?”
“Nothing special. You go back to the training center. And you will receive a different education.”
“Guests will complete the instructor training in the main building of the training center.”
Yurnet added.
Yesterday, Yunet had explained the simple circumstances.
“After you receive instructor training here, you will play a role in Taone.”
“okay.”
“This is my personal opinion, but I recommend it.”
Yurnet narrowed her eyes.
Aaron’s condition will already be clear.
Weapon skill 4 at level 20.
Other skills are fire resistance and pain resistance.
Stats are also lacking. Aaron’s growth value was 4.
It was an insignificant talent.
“Growing up must be difficult.”
Yurnet continued.
“I’ve seen a few people like you. I tried to cover up my talents with hard work. But in the end, when you get to a certain point, you hit a wall. You can’t climb any higher.”
Aaron bowed his head.
Yurnet’s words were cold, but they penetrated the core.
If a hero without talent aspires to a combat job, he will first suffer from low-level weapon skills. No matter how much you roll at the training center and missions, your level won’t go up. 90% of those heroes give up fighting jobs and aspire to other jobs.
Of course, venom sometimes appears.
They grow slowly and reach intermediate weapon skills.
But that was it. At that point, there are already talented people next to you who are working at the same level as you. There was no way I could be an opponent.
Like Belquist, who has talent many times superior to Aaron but never stops working hard.
‘Talent isn’t everything.’
At least it was necessary.
A hero who does not have that is bound to fall behind in the end.
“What should I do?”
Aaron muttered.
“Don’t cry too much. That’s normal.”
“There are exceptions everywhere.”
Yurnet laughed.
“There is one idiot who has risen to the same level as us even though his talent lags far behind our guest. No matter how much we hold on to him, he hasn’t learned a thing properly.”
“How…?”
“You’ll find out if you visit it yourself.”
Yurnet drew a circle with her hand.
The fog gathered and a portal appeared.
“Dimension 0584, the door to Luanan.”
Beyond the dimensional door, a different landscape was reflected.
It was a plain of sand and dust. The sky was glowing in a hazy red color.
‘Ruanan.’
This is where Muden is staying.
It was also the background of the World Raid held a year ago.
“Is Master going too?”
“I think so.”
“You better avoid it. It’s dangerous over there.”
Yurnet replied.
“I’ll send you a guest if you want, but being entangled up to the Master is… That place is a dimension where you eat away at life just by staying there. You know what kind of end the people who visited Muden met.”
Aaron swallowed.
Nisled, who was next to him, spoke to Aaron.
“After Muden-nim achieved success, many aspirants followed. And…” “They
all died.”
I said.
“Yes. The survival rate is less than 3%.”
“Is it that dangerous?”
“If you value your life, don’t go.”
Nisled declared.
Aaron closed his eyes and said.
“But if you succeed there, doesn’t that mean you can become strong?”
“If you can.”
can’t help but get stronger
It’s that level in the first place. I couldn’t find a similar place anywhere else.
“I’ll go.”
Aaron said in a firm voice.
I nodded.
“Follow me.”
“No, big brother. If it’s as dangerous as he said… I alone will be enough. No big brother. Everyone else is waiting.”
“You should be there too.”
Aaron shook his head.
“I have no intention of dying either. I will try to do what I can without shame.”
“…I get it.”
If it was Jung’s own will, he decided to send it alone.
My role ends here. Guidance is no longer needed.
Whoa.
Aaron took a deep breath.
Yurnet, who was watching quietly, said.
“The flow of time in Luanan is different from here. Keep that in mind.”
“Before that, I want to ask you something.”
“What is it?”
“I’m pathetic, but in Niflheim…”
Yurnet smiled.
“Don’t worry. Aaron will be treated as an important guest in Niflheim. There will be no change of affiliation.”
“How is your brother?”
“So do I. Don’t think about it.”
“Okay.”
Aaron closed his eyes.
His lips moved. He couldn’t hear it, but I could hear what he was muttering. Nina.
It was Aaron’s sister.
.”
Aaron leaned over to me
and walked towards the portal.
It wasn’t long before Aaron’s body blurred.
His body began to be sucked into the desolate landscape inside the portal. I watched the scene calmly. “Do you think you can live?” After Muden adapted to that world, there
were
several aspirants.
They were similar to Aaron. They wanted to be strong no matter what. I selected those heroes and sent them over to Muden. “The odds are low,”
Yurnet replied.
“I’m sure.”
”
I’ve spoken to Muden, but will it work…”
The survival rate is extremely low
.
Send it to Taoni.”
“It may not come back at all.”
“With that in mind.”
I turned my back.
There was still much to be done.
