Necromancer School’s Summoning Genius Chapter 324
Simon and Lorraine were walking side by side in the corridor of the study hall.
“You want to go out with me?”
Lorraine’s face was filled with puzzled emotions.
“Yeah. Just one game is fine so please.”
“I don’t mind.”
Lorraine ran her fingertips through her black hair like the night sky.
“You’re not like this. What’s the reason?”
“Um just.”
Simon smiled and answered plainly.
“I want to talk to you.”
“….”
Lorraine lowered her long eyelashes. Instead of answering he just nodded slightly and walked away.
Her acceptance declined and the two searched the building together.
Even a search was nothing. After walking down the hallway if there is a lecture room that just gives me a ‘feel’ I go in and search the desks and open the drawers.
However there were many students hiding on the Kizen Campus aiming to ‘kill the students’.
“Wahhaha! If you want to pass by here…!”
A male student guarding the alley shouted loudly and tried to attack.
“!”
When he saw Simon and Lorraine he lowered his stance in fright.
“…Just pass by! Let’s go!”
When he moved away Lorraine passed by raising her hand as if to say thank you. Simon followed her without much reaction.
‘…Bah I almost couldn’t even find a bone.’
Sweat dripped down the boy’s forehead.
‘They’re holding hands are you going to grab the student council president?’
This place is dangerous. The male student quickly got out of the building.
“Oh I found one here!”
Resuming his search Simon pointed to a yellow card on the wall. But Lorraine shook her head.
“That’s not good I have a yellow card.”
Lorraine also seemed to be aiming for a combination of seven different color cards. Simon took out his glasses from subspace and put them on.
“Leave it to me. What color do you have?”
“Indigo and yellow.”
Simon has navy and orange cards. I thought it would be good to pick colors that don’t overlap each other.
When I put on my glasses the entire building was dyed yellow. This means that only yellow cards are drawn.
Simon immediately took Lorraine out of the building. And this time he entered the building marked in blue.
“There are many here.”
The two walked around the empty lecture halls searching for cards.
It’s not true recently but if you look closely at the same blue terrain it’s divided into light and dark parts.
And the probability of having a card in this dark part increased dramatically.
‘What would I have done without these glasses?’
Simon immediately rummaged through the drawers of his desk and found two copies but he couldn’t get in because of the entry requirements.
“Simon.”
Then while searching the classroom she pointed to a card stuck on the floor.
“How about this?”
[Difficulty: Medium]
[Entry capacity: 2 people]
[Admission conditions: 2 male and female students must enter together.]
“Not bad.”
I found a card that can fit two people. Difficulty also looks good.
Although I was a bit uneasy about why the condition was that only two men and women were allowed to enter.
“Let’s do this.”
“huh.”
Lorraine stepped on the card first and was sucked in followed by Simon.
[Entering a new game.]
* * *
Simon recalled a passage from a fairy tale he had heard in Anna’s arms when he was a child.
-All animals that walk on two legs are great. said the Pig Princess.
The Pig Princess was Simon’s favorite character when he was little.
It’s because he has a cool and refreshing personality so he relentlessly defeated bad people.
-mom! What about animals that walk on all fours?
– Animals that walk on all fours are considered livestock.
-That’s strange. Why do pigs discriminate against pigs? What is the difference between walking on two legs and walking on all fours?
– It must have been important to them. So the pigs that walked on all fours tried hard to walk on two legs.
Recalling the memory of that time Simon opened his eyes.
The reason why I remembered this memory was because the world in the card I was in now seemed like a reproduction of a fairy tale from my childhood.
Several animals were dressed in suits and dresses standing on their feet and drinking wine.
‘hmm’
Simon rolled his eyes and looked around. Animals such as dogs rabbits goats and sheep were talking with wine in this gorgeous banquet hall.
I wondered what to do if we talked with animal cries but it was a proper continental language. Pronunciation was also good.
Standing on two feet is very natural. Even the way he holds a wine glass using his front paw like a hand is not dangerous and it seems that he is using it for its intended purpose.
‘What a well-made world.’
It seemed that he now knew why Endolas Vaudeville’s ability was one of the top 10 mysteries of the continent along with Nephthys.
“Simon.”
Simon turned his head. And the moment he found Lorraine in a dress his face turned red.
‘Ugh.’
The shoulder was exposed and the chest was hollowed out and the skirt was short enough to barely cover the lower part of the body. Besides he had an animal ear headband on his head.
It is an embarrassing outfit for a student to wear.
‘…Is it the taste of Endolas vaudeville?’
I felt bad because I felt like I was peeping at a middle-aged man’s strange taste. Lorraine also said dissatisfiedly pulling on her short skirt as if she was worried about her outfit.
“It’s black again.”
‘…Is that the problem?’
Simon laughed bitterly.
And Simon himself was wearing a tuxedo for a party but compared to Lorraine’s design which was very elaborate he was insincere.
‘No matter what it’s too much to have the shirt under the tuxedo in black.’
And on her head like Lorraine she was wearing an animal ear headband.
“Put.”
A horse in a suit passed by and laughed at the outfits of Simon and Lorraine.
“Four ears. A terrible animal.”
“Anyway humans.”
Somehow it occurred to me that I was not in a position to be welcomed at this banquet of animals.
Simon tried to take off this funny animal ear headband but it wouldn’t come off his head.
“Simon.”
Lorraine came over waving her animal ears.
‘….’
Simon’s face heated up once more. Her outfit is also a costume but her chic expression and fluttering funny animal ears were truly unbalanced.
“What are you trying to do here?”
“I do not know either.”
Just then a new message popped up in their eyes.
[You are a ‘knight’.]
[The goal of the article: Protect the Pig Princess until the time limit.]
‘article?’
Roles and duties have been established.
Lorraine looked around and said in a low voice.
“Then there must be other people who have taken on other roles.”
As soon as the words were finished a new message came to mind.
[The ‘assassin’ is hiding among the animals.]
[Assassin’s goal: Assassinate the Pig Princess before the party is over.]
[There are two assassins.]
[Assassins are animals that have joined the party. It is indistinguishable by appearance.]
‘aha.’
Now I understand everything.
Now the worldview that Endolas Vaudeville created based on the famous fairy tale Anna read ‘Animal Kingdom’ seems certain.
And two of the animals at the party were real Keizen students. They are aiming for the life of the Pig Princess.
“They must have found out right away that we were knights.”
“yes.”
This one has not changed in appearance and remains human. It was comfortable to think that no matter what I did I was in the gaze of the assassins.
“Then what about the Pig Princess?”
The eyes of the two people moved busily.
Among the many pairs of animals pigs were not seen. There was no animal dressed in a fancy dress enough to be called a princess.
“Let’s start by gathering information.”
“huh.”
The two of them decided to split up and ask the animals about things.
“Excuse me. Where is the Pig Princess?”
At Simon’s question the old wolf in a suit waved his arm as if he was annoyed.
“Ma’am I’d like to ask you something.”
The goat in the dress snorted and ignored it.
‘Gh it’s hard to do this.’
While I was researching the information I was thinking about whether or not I was a Kizen student but overall the animals were avoiding Simon and Lorraine.
“Looking for the princess?”
At that time the fox who was sitting on the sofa laughed.
“The princess hasn’t come out yet. The main character usually comes last.”
It was a fox that was good at talking. He jumped off the couch and came over to Simon.
“that’s interesting.”
Then he looked every nook and cranny of Simon’s face.
“I couldn’t believe it but a real human came here.”
“…can’t humans come?”
“Humans walk on two legs so there’s nothing they can’t do. They’re not ‘livestock.’
The fox grinned.
“Don’t bother the Pig Princess.”
Then it waggled its tail and walked away.
Simon stared at the fox’s back with a serious expression.
‘Aren’t you an assassin?’
His behavior was a bit suspicious but judging from the fact that he casually laid out information about this world he didn’t seem to be a Kizen student.
Simon ruled the fox off his list of suspects and continued observing and talking to other animals.
‘I don’t know who turned into an animal but he’s good at acting.’
I expected at least one person to show a look of embarrassment in the sudden situation but all the animals in the banquet hall are acting naturally.
I would have guessed that it was an assassin if it was quietly snuggling looking anxiously or showing strange reactions to other animals but there was no such animal.
‘It looks like the Pig Princess hasn’t arrived yet so let’s not be in too much of a hurry.’
Simon and Lorraine met after gathering information. We brought cakes and desserts on plates and sat down at a table to talk. Lorraine seemed to have been treated the same way by the animals.
The result of combining the information brought by the two.
1. This party was hosted by the Pig Princess and will appear at the very end of the event.
2. Humans are the lowest class here.
3. All animals consider it sacred to walk on two legs. Even the humans they hate are sent to the banquet hall just because they walk on two legs.
4. They hate animals that walk on four legs and consider them livestock.
Simon opened his mouth.
“The motif of this game is a fairy tale called ‘Animal Kingdom’. Can you feel it?”
“I don’t know. I’m a little weak in fairy tales and nursery rhymes.”
“okay?”
Simon explained the outline of the fairy tale for Lorraine. Actually it wasn’t a fairy tale with complicated contents.
The animals on the farm rebelled kicked out the humans and built a kingdom.
In the beginning everyone was an equal society but one day a pig that suddenly stood on two legs tried to stand on top of other creatures with the logic of ‘I am a higher creature that is greater than you and evolved’. Then she called herself ‘Pig Princess’.
Many animals who envied Princess Pig tried to stand on their own two feet. The Pig Princess took it lightly and eventually a ‘class’ was formed among the animals on the farm.
The bipedal animals wore luxurious clothes and ate expensive food.
The Pig Princess who lived such a tyrannical life one day looks in the mirror and realizes that she has become the same as the humans she hated so much and hangs herself.
“? What is it all of a sudden?”
Lorraine who had been listening carefully frowned.
“What kind of fairy tale is that a cruel fairy tale?”
“The children’s version ends here with the Pig Princess realizing her mistake and walking on all fours again and living happily ever after. Anyway here’s what I think.”
Simon explained the strategy for this game and Lorraine nodded in agreement.
So I had some time to spare before the appearance of the Pig Princess.
“By the way Simon.”
said Lorraine.
“He said he had something he wanted to talk to me about.”
“ah.”
I was so focused on the game that I forgot.
In fact the reason I approached Lorraine was for this purpose as well.
Simon hinted.
“Professor Shilaji.”
“?”
“What kind of mission did you take on why did you suddenly quit Professor Keyzen?”
Lorraine blinked.
“I wonder why?”
Simon quickly shook his head.
“Everything of course I’m curious! He was one of my favorite professors in the first semester but he disappeared without saying anything.”
“hmm.”
Lorraine closed her eyes and thought for a moment before answering.
“It’s confidential so don’t talk about it anywhere else.”
“Yes! Of course.”
Her voice became cryptic.
“Professor Shilaji entered the dungeon.”
