< Episode 58: Business (3) >
During the Buddhist days of Shaolin Temple the name of the apostate monk Bokma-kwon Jae-jae-jeong was Deok-mun (德門) and the current Master Janggyeong-gakju Gongjeon was reaped during the time of the monk Deok-gye among the ten precepts.
Master Gongjeon whose parents were depleted by continuous famine and raids by thieves and whose family was poor was one of the top five martial arts experts in Shaolin.
Among the children he raised from Shaolin he highly regarded the martial arts master of Jaejeong and accepted him as his direct disciple and taught him martial arts directly.
Meeting those expectations Jaejaejeong was recognized for his outstanding inaction to the extent that he was even mentioned in the next Ten Commandments in just ten years.
However despite this recognition and numerous recommendations from his teacher Master Gongjeon Jae-jae-jeong was repeatedly omitted from the list of candidates for the Ten Precepts.
Ambassador Gongjeon who thought this was unfair raised this as a topic at the convention.
[Amitabha Buddha. I would like to ask a question to Ambassador Bangjang and others. Why do you select Deokmun as the Ten Preceptors but always omit him from the list of candidates?]
It was Daedeok the head of Gyeyulwon who responded to this suggestion.
[Amitabha Buddha. Doesn’t Janggyeong-gakju also know that in order to ascend to the Ten Commandments one must excel in martial arts?]
[Of course. However according to the judgment of the Hinayana who taught that child there is no child as soft-hearted as this child.]
At these words Master Daedeok of Gyeyulwonju soon sighed and opened his mouth.
[Footnote.]
[Amitabha Buddha. Please tell me.]
[There is a difference between an upright mind and a soft heart.]
[….Gyeyulwonju. Don’t you know better than anyone else that there are unfortunate circumstances why that child was called to the precepts several times?]
[That makes the child unsuitable for the Ten Commandments that will represent Shaolin.]
[How can you say that?]
[Do you want Hinayana to mention this directly?]
At these words the ambassador thought for a moment that it was a mistake.
He just wanted to give his disciple Jae-Jeong Jeong a chance.
However due to this facts that only Gyeyulwonju and himself knew including the execution of the head of the clan became known within Shaolin.
[It is understandable because it is the child’s karma given by the Buddha to open the spirit door and see things that should not be seen in life. However Deokmun does not overcome this task through Buddhist training but rather tries to overcome it with the alcohol offered at the temple.]
-Roaring!
Many high monks were agitated by these words of Preceptor Wonju.
Accordingly Ambassador Gongjeon tried to resolve the matter.
[Gyeyulwonju that is…]
[yes. The world that Deokmoon sees is different from that of ordinary people. How can it not be painful to live in a world where you can see the dead?]
[How could someone know that…..]
[That makes it even more unacceptable. He has to overcome pain and suffering for the rest of his life but he has already been unable to withstand his age several times so he lusts after alcohol and is unable to control himself so he is locked in the Myeonbyeok building. How can a person like this be given a position in the Ten Commandments where he should be an example to other monks? There should be no more discussion of these issues. ]
At these words of Preceptor Wonju all the monks in the conference room nodded.
Seeing them like that Ambassador Gongjeon bowed his head with his hands joined together with a sad expression on his face.
He wanted to give the kid a chance.
Although everyone said he understood he viewed the child’s pain from a wrong perspective and thought that it should be overcome through Buddhism.
‘Amitabha Buddha.’
However Ambassador Gongjeon had different thoughts.
How can we overcome everything just by practicing Buddhism?
I saw no significant difference in saying that if one’s leg is cut off and one is crippled one day one will be able to walk if one practices Buddhism and practices it.
‘Everyone is only seeing a cross-section of that child.’
Ambassador Gongjeon was truly saddened.
Because Deokmun sees what others cannot see he was able to realize what Shaolin had lost.
However everyone focused on performance rather than merit.
That was the case with Buddhism.
This will remain the same even as time passes.
‘It might be right to let go at least for the sake of that child.’
* * *
-Papa pa pa pa pa pa pa pa pa!
Numerous miscellaneous spirits that explode and disappear in an instant.
“under!”
At this sight the apostate Monk Geunjaejeong opened his mouth and could not hide his surprise.
After leaving Shaolin he indulged in alcohol to forget some of the ‘pain he felt.’
As he became addicted to alcohol he was naturally unable to control himself and as a result he committed numerous eccentric acts and was called a lunatic.
It was Bangsang Lee Mun-hae who pulled him out of this quagmire.
[You must have lived a truly painful life.]
For the first time Lee Mun-hae understood his cursed eyes and used talisman magic to chase away evil spirits and allow him to sleep comfortably without alcohol for the first time.
Because of this he lived by following Bangsa Lee Mun-hae.
But he couldn’t help but stick out his tongue.
‘Why are there all these guys?’
Bangsang Lee Mun-hae once said this while drinking together.
[You have good skills so why did you ask the monk to look at you?]
[okay. If he’s as skilled as you wouldn’t he be treated better wherever he goes?]
[Hehehe. Well he feels good when he says that. As Hana Ja said just as there are many masters in martial arts the world of martial artists is also the same. There are a lot of people who are much better and more amazing than me.]
[To this Daengjung you are the best.]
[I am grateful that you say that but if you go around saying that someone who is just an imbecile is the best the world will laugh at you.]
[joy. Trembling humility.]
At that time he thought that the radiologist had excellent skills and should be tried.
I thought it was all over there.
However when I saw Mok Gyeong-un’s magic skills which allowed him to kill numerous evil spirits by forming a seal without using any amulet I was shocked.
He was truly no match for Bang Bang Lee Mun-hae.
‘What on earth is this guy?’
Looking at the external energy it is clear that he is a martial artist.
But how did he master this level of magic?
That said
“Haa…haa…..”
“miss? “Are you out of your mind?”
The manor owner’s daughter Woo-hyang who had been suffering from miscellaneous spirits came to her senses.
She looked around her in confusion.
‘How is this?’
Since her father died each day has been so painful that even breathing has been difficult.
But now it wasn’t like that at all.
Her entire body felt lighter as if she had returned to her old self.
“What is your complexion?”
“I feel more comfortable. How did this happen?”
At this question her man who was supporting her hesitated and then pointed to her apostolic monks Jae-jeong Jeong and Mok Gyeong-un and said
“It looks like those guests did something.”
“Those people?”
“yes.”
It wasn’t clear exactly what she was doing.
However after Mo Qingyun did something his heavy body suddenly became much lighter.
Even the strange phenomenon that occasionally sent shivers down her spine disappeared.
At that time she refused to accept the help of the men who were supporting Woohyang and bowed her head towards them with her hands clasped together.
“thank you. “Thanks to the two great people my body has become much lighter.”
In response to her greeting Apostate Monk Jae-jeong snorted and said
“This Daengjung didn’t do it. If you want to say hello go to a gisaeng orb…..”
-puck!
“Ugh!”
Before she could even finish her sentence Jae-jeong grabbed her nose due to the pain she felt.
-Gurgling!
‘!?’
Jeon Jae-jeong’s eyes widened as he felt the warm moisture from her hand.
Her nose was bleeding.
The blood that was quickly soaking her palms was being washed away by the strong rain but it didn’t matter.
‘what?’
She didn’t even see it.
It wasn’t until she reached that she could tell because of the pain.
Mok Kyung-un smiled and said to him.
“If you don’t know his name call him Confucius. “I don’t really like the term gisaeng or long-time gisaeng.”
“You…what on earth are you?”
-Papak!
Apostate Monk Jae-Jeong Jeong took his hand away from her nose and took on her martial arts form.
Although he did not know her martial arts skills he believed that her martial arts skills were only at the peak of maturity.
But he didn’t even notice it touching his nose just moments ago.
Thanks to this he developed a passion for winning.
however
-Pot!
Seopchun stepped in between them and spoke while holding the handle of the Gwangmudo sword.
“A fortune teller. “Do not be rude to your lord.”
Of course it wasn’t just that.
Meng Muyak also stood next to Nie Chun and half-drawn his sword.
-Sreung!
Looking at them like this Jae-jae-jeong frowned.
From the moment Apostate Monk Jae-jeong saw them he knew that these two were masters of transcendental perfection.
But these guys with this much talent were claiming to be underlings like that gisaeng Orbiti.
Maybe that’s why I became even more curious about that guy’s identity.
-Gooooooo!
Energy gathered in Jaejaejeong’s two fists.
Then a blue light flickered from his fist and a strong energy was formed.
When Nie Chun and Meng Wuyak saw this a strange look appeared in their eyes.
‘Kwon Kang?’
‘My luck is fast.’
I knew he was not an ordinary expert but I had no idea that he could so quickly gain energy and form Kwon Gang (拳罡).
Contrary to their surprise Mok Kyung-un was paying attention to something else.
This time too Jaejeong gathered the energy around him and formed a strong energy.
‘It’s fascinating.’
I was clearly seeing it with my own eyes but it was difficult to understand the principle.
It was understandable that the energy in the body moves through the acupuncture points as it was close to a kind of luck principle but this was beyond the realm of understanding like the Igigeo swordsmanship shown by Hoeju.
It was a method that could not be easily stolen without enlightenment.
Maybe that’s why I became even more interested.
“You both step back.”
Mu Gyeong-un gave orders to Nie Chun and Meng Wuyak.
“Yes my lord…..”
“It’s okay so please step back.”
At this Nie Chun and Meng Wuyue retreated to the left and right at the same time.
However Ja Zheng still had not solved his Qi formula and was showing signs of stretching out his fist at any moment.
Mok Gyeong-un said to him like this.
“Is the training method of that fighting technique a martial art from the Shaolin Temple?”
“joy. What kind of shame would you have for using Shaolin martial arts when you were excommunicated? “This is the Demon Fighter’s fist created by this Daengjung.”
Nie Chun snorted at these words.
I said it as if it wasn’t Shaolin martial arts but no matter how you look at it it’s similar to Shaolin martial arts martial arts.
Shaolin Fumanquan one of the five martial arts derived from Baekbo Shinken was famous for its powerful yet elegant martial arts skills.
Of course Mok Gyeong-un who did not know this did not care at all what the aid was.
I just wanted to know how to manage the financial investment.
‘Did you say it was an infinite power?’
Imperceptible power.
The legendary meditation method that Master Bodhidharma created as his final enlightenment before entering meditation.
There was nothing more efficient than being able to use the energy around you without accumulating energy within your body.
So he wanted to learn the principle even more.
Mok Gyeong-un then provoked him.
“They say that in Moorim they give up their tax revenue to Hasu right? “Let’s give it a try.”
“what?”
Jaejeongjeong was horribly impressed.
I knew he wasn’t an ordinary guy from what I did earlier but he was still infamous in the martial arts world being called one of the Three Gwangs.
He was furious that a young guy was provoking him by saying he would give up tax revenue.
“Are you coming? If he’s that confident he’ll stick with it once…..”
It was right then.
-bang!
Before Jae-jae-jeong could finish speaking a loud roar erupted from the main hall.
At this everyone’s eyes turned to that place.
I wondered what was going on but before I knew it the wall of the main temple was broken and a man in a gray uniform with a Yin Yang diagram on it was staggering around there.
The apostate Monk Jae-jeong who saw this shouted in surprise.
“Let’s read this!”
And in a hurry I try to throw a new weapon at him.
-Park!
Mok Kyung-un stopped him and shook his head.
That’s right too
-Bulky!
The condition of the man in the radiation suit called Lee Mun-hae was unusual.
Black veins were protruding from his face and his eyes were also turned upside down forming white eyes.
“Kkekekekekeek!”
The man laughed at them making a strange sound.
Both the sight and the sound of her laughter were very creepy.
Apostolic monk Jae-jeong who thought his condition was unusual shouted harshly.
“Get out of the way!”
Mok Gyeong-un snorted and said.
“What can you do if you get out of the way?”
-Wow!
“Do you mean to just watch?”
“yes.”
“what?”
-Pot!
As soon as the interrogation was over Mok Gyeong-un’s divine form dispersed and arrived in front of a person named Lee Mun-hae who was suddenly covered in something.
-Shudder!
Lee Mun-hae who was laughing grotesquely was startled by the sudden appearance of Mok Gyeong-un and tried to slit his throat with his sharp fingernails.
however
-Park! Crack!
Mok Gyeong-un grabbed his wrist and twisted his arm in one go.
He twisted so hard that his bone popped out through his elbow.
Normally this would be so painful that it would have made her scream but Lee Moon-hae actually laughed even more.
“Kkekekekekeek! It’s no use. Do you think something like this will make my body hurt?”
“yes. “I guess so.”
“I guess you too are a radiation but this guy’s body is already mine…”
-match!
As soon as he finished speaking Mok Gyeong-un slapped Lee Mun-hae on the cheek.
Lee Moon-hae’s eyes widened as his head turned.
Even when his arm was broken he didn’t feel any pain but the slap just now made his face feel like it was burning.
“Does this look painful?”
The entity that had taken over Lee Mun-hae’s surprised body turned his head.
“You…what on earth?”
-puck! Wow!
At that time Mok Gyeong-un kicked Lee Mun-hae’s shin.
Lee Mun-hae whose shin was broken was forced to kneel on one knee.
-thud!
Mok Gyeong-un slapped Lee Mun-hae on the other cheek.
-match!
“Huh!”
A scream burst from Lee Moon-hae’s mouth in pain that felt like it was burning.
Only then did the being who occupied Lee Mun-hae’s body realize that something was wrong.
This guy was able to inflict pain directly on himself.
hereto
‘I have to get out.’
The being tried to come out of Lee Mun-hae’s body.
however
-closely!
Mok Gyeong-un grabbed his shoulder and
-Park! Pop! Pop!
Fight! Heat! Jin!
An informal contract was signed.
Then the being who tried to escape from Bang Bang Lee Mun-hae was trapped in the body as if it were a prison and could not get out.
The being shouted in confusion.
“You…what on earth have you done…”
-match!
“100 million!”
Before the words were even finished the being’s cheek turned to the side.
It was so painful that the being that had taken over Lee Mun-hae’s body turned his head in bewilderment.
But Mok Gyeong-un’s face appeared in his white eyes.
-Shudder!
‘Are you…smiling?’
This was not the kind of expression that someone who was trying to save the owner of this body from himself would show.
Rather this laughter was full of malice.
At that moment the being swallowed dry saliva without realizing it.
