< 84. The season goes beyond spring to summer (1) >
#84
Nabirose’s eyes widened. Taking a deep breath to calm her emotions she continued.
“Explain everything that happened with that old monster. “Everything.”
Her eyes were fierce. It seemed like there was something connected to Jaipa. There was nothing I couldn’t do but it wasn’t something worth talking about on the main street. After thinking for a moment Ronan opened her mouth.
“It’s a bit awkward to talk about here but let’s talk about it at my house.”
“Didn’t you say it’s quite far from your hometown?”
“yes. I moved in today. “I almost became a refugee from day one because of someone.”
“Hmm.”
Nabirose cleared his throat. The subject that had parted her cloud seemed to have a conscience. Ronan guided the two women to their new home. She hesitated and asked Adeshan who had followed her without realizing it.
“Is it really okay for me to go too?”
“of course. Seniors also deserve to hear it.”
It was Jaifa’s story and no one else’s. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t curious. They arrived home in less than three minutes. It was a car that had just opened the front door and entered. Iril wearing her apron came out to meet her.
“Ah you’re here Ronan! “You brought her guest?”
“ok. I’m going to take a quick look in the basement. “What about those children?”
“Aser just left to look for you and Master Schlieffen is still eating. Shall I call you?”
“…it’s okay. “I tell you to eat a lot.”
Ronan shook his head in disgust. She seemed to be planning on eating until the pot was empty or her stomach exploded and she died. Ade Shan gasped when she saw Iril.
“…wow.”
Never in her life had she seen anything so beautiful. The Ophelia she had seen before was also a very beautiful woman but she dared not compare to her.
She felt that she was unnecessarily tall and as unsightly as a fir tree struck by lightning. A sudden tingling of anxiety raised her head.
‘…What’s the relationship between you two?’
Adeshan looked back and forth between Ronan and Iril. Her hair color and appearance were too different to be her family.
no way.
For a moment a number of cases she did not want to imagine flashed through her mind. When she suddenly saw Ade Shan’s clothes Iril clapped her hands and said.
“Oh I guess you go to the same academy as my younger brother!”
“Younger brother…?”
“yes. My name is Iril Ronan’s older sister. nice to meet you!”
Ade Shan’s face brightened. Realizing that she had sighed too loudly in relief she covered her own mouth.
“Hot…! My name is Adeshan and I am a second-year martial arts student. “Please take care of me.”
“This is Butterfly Rosé. “I am a senior instructor in the martial arts department at Phileon Academy.”
Like Adeshan Nabirose who was momentarily dumbfounded also shook hands with Iril. When Iril heard that she was an instructor her eyes lit up and she held her hand.
She said “Wow you were a teacher! How about our Ronan? Is she learning well?”
“…He is a remarkable student in many ways.”
Butterfly Rose twisted her lips with a complicated expression. Ronan headed to her basement leaving a comment that she didn’t need anything to drink.
The basement which could be used as a shelter in an emergency was equipped with various security facilities. As soon as her thick iron door closed I opened her mouth with butterflies.
“Now tell me. “What happened with Jaifa Tergeng?”
“Well… this is such a ridiculous thing that happened…”
Ronan explained what had happened the day before yesterday. It is said that she met Jaifa while tracking down Nebula Clazie. The bombing was prevented by slaughtering the wyverns. Even the fact that Jaipa and his subordinates helped his sister move. Butterfly Rose opened her mouth with a seemingly serious expression.
“It was going to be a big problem. “I never would have guessed that they were targeting Romania.”
“yes. “The damn bastards are getting bolder.”
Even thinking about it again made me dizzy. If the Lomaira mountain road is destroyed the damage will be beyond imagination. There was a reason why the Winter Witch whose name was not even known to the world suddenly became the worst criminal in the empire.
“She suffered” she said. I will report separately to the principal. But is that true?”
“Which one?”
“I mean Jaipa helped you move.”
Ronan nodded. Nabirose laughed as if it were absurd. It was a reaction that could only come out if the knife I was wearing suddenly started talking to me.
“I guess I liked you quite a bit. “How dare you show such kindness to humans.”
“Well it seemed like he liked me.”
“I warn you in advance. Don’t get too close to Jaifa. “That old man is dangerous.”
“Is that enough to say that?”
“okay. Perhaps even more so than the organization called Nebula Clazier. “You can tell just by looking at the night of the canine right?”
At the mention of the night of the canine Adeshan shrugged his shoulders. Butterfly Rose continued her words while gently squeezing her hand.
“At that time Zaifa killed more than a thousand imperial soldiers. So when they heard that he had become the emperor’s subordinate everyone couldn’t believe their ears.”
“…I killed a lot of people.”
Ronan smoothed her chin. He also had heard some things about Jaipa. Slayer of the North. As it was he was a person who should have long ago disappeared from the execution ground or been pursued by the empire.
The beast-human alliance led by Zaipa occupied the Marginal Territory of Barsa in three days. Everyone had no doubt that they would advance to the islands.
But Jaipa made a choice that no one could have imagined. Nabirose who was reflecting on her memories for a moment twisted her lips.
“That cat knew. “If we go to the end he will eventually be defeated.”
Instead of fighting to the end Zaipa risked his life to negotiate with the already occupied Marginal Territory. The condition was that he defeat the military and leave the northern beastmen alone as they would become his subordinates.
The emperor who appreciated his ability and spirit accepted the proposal. As a result the northern beastmen regained their freedom and land and the emperor gained the sharpest sword in the empire.
I didn’t know this background. Ronan laughed.
“He was smarter than I thought. “I thought he was only good at fighting.”
“That’s why it’s more dangerous. “I have no idea what you’re thinking.”
Nabirose once again emphasized that there is no telling what Zaifa might do at any time. Ronan neither confirmed nor denied her opinion. She could only sigh softly at the thought that she had more people to keep an eye on.
‘Why is there more and more work to do?’
Zaipa like other strongmen does not appear in the final battlefield. If he was a person with such anxiety elements he should have been watched with even more caution. Nabirose said.
“Let’s go back first. “I have classes scheduled.”
“Of course. I also have to write a club activity report. “I just need to write everything except the stories related to Nebula Clage right?”
“…Professor Varen is pitiful too. “You take care of it.”
After finishing the conversation the three headed straight to Phileon. Iril smiled brightly and saw them off.
“Goodbye to you both! “Ronan have a nice trip and see you on the weekend!”
“I am indebted to you.”
“See you all next time…!”
Nabirose bowed briefly. Adeshan also bowed his waist in gratitude. Her attitude seemed to be that of a saint somewhere.
Ronan thought she did a good job of bringing them home. She said that in case something happens to Iril she has more people to help her. Nabirose said.
“So she is now able to manifest sword energy?”
“yes. “At least in small ways.”
“It looks like that pathetic bastard Jaradin still paid for the meal. “Why didn’t you come here earlier?”
“I had a lot of work to do before then… I’m tired so I’ll sleep in for a bit.”
“Do it that way. From the looks of it just a little won’t do.”
“I got caught.”
With butterflies I clicked her tongue. Ronan’s tired face was not something to look at. Ronan who suddenly remembered what happened a little while ago asked a question.
“But what have you two been doing since morning? “It’s not even the weekend.”
“Ah that is….”
Suddenly Adeshan looked at Nabirose. She didn’t answer but just silently increased the speed of her steps. Ronan seeing her ambiguous reaction tilted her head.
“You don’t have to say it if you don’t want to.”
“no. Then it’s not fair. “I also heard such…valuable stories.”
This was the first time Adeshan learned about Nebula Clazie. Information you may not know about Jaipa. She placed her mouth next to Ronan’s ear and whispered.
“…I went to the nearby Imperial Army garrison.”
“Are you stationed there? Why are you there?”
“The instructor asked me to listen because he had something to deliver to the officer there. “In the end I couldn’t tell you.”
“Was it very heavy?”
She smiled awkwardly and took out an envelope from her inner pocket. No matter how I looked at it it didn’t seem like it was something someone should carry for me.
Butterfly Rose had forgotten to whom to give her envelope she said so he and her walked around her station slowly for two hours. Adeshan was able to observe the soldiers doing morning training. Adeshan scratched his cheek and asked back.
“Do you understand?”
“yes. “For sure.”
She was a good person anyway. The envelope was simply an excuse and was intended to help Adeshan who dreamed of becoming a soldier gain insight. Butterfly Rose was already walking ahead. Ronan who was looking at her back laughed.
‘It’s a good thing I came to Phileon.’
They soon crossed the school gate. Ronan separated from the two women and headed straight to the dormitory.
‘By the way…I forgot to ask what the Festival of Swords is.’
These were the words that Zaifa left behind. She had a lot of questions but the most urgent thing right now wasn’t the Sword Festival or the stupid club activity reports but getting sleep. Because of one incident after another he was unable to sleep for nearly four days.
I’ll meet you tomorrow and ask. With that in mind I opened the door and saw Lucy wiping the desk with a dishcloth. Ronan said.
“Hello Lucy.”
“oh. You’re busy these days. “I haven’t seen you in a few days so if something happened…”
“Hello Lucy….”
Slurp. Ronan collapsed and fell to the floor. The dishcloth fell from Lucy’s hand.
“Lord Ronan?!”
She hurried over and shook Ronan’s shoulder. But he only muttered vulgar words in his sleep and did not open his eyes. Soon the sound of her snoring rang out. Lucy muttered as if she was shocked.
“What the hell….”
Her health did not seem to be affected. Lucy whined and laid Ronan down on the bed. She closed her curtains covered her with a blanket removed her socks and left her room.

It was noon two days later when Ronan returned to Arena 1. It wasn’t that I was particularly lazy I just woke up washed up and came right after eating so it was this time. Ronan yawned lazily and muttered in an irritated voice.
“Aaaaaam… Damn it I’m not growing taller if I do this…”
Still after sleeping soundly his body felt much lighter. Students were sparring or practicing swordsmanship everywhere. In the distance I could see Butterfly Rose with her back to me. The woman who was observing the posture of her students opened her mouth without looking away.
“Ronan. “Has it finally arrived?”
“Yes…you’ve been waiting a long time.”
“I know. “Class will start right away so go stand in an empty space over there.”
Butterfly Rose extended his finger and pointed to the area lined with his training scarecrows. Ronan did so. As I was stretching and shaking off the tiredness of sleep she approached me.
“I have to look at your skills first. “Look at the scarecrow’s sword.”
“It’s a bit far.”
Ronan frowned at her. The distance from the scarecrow seemed to be about thirty steps.
“It’s okay if you don’t hit it right so just shoot.”
“If that’s the case.”
Ronan concentrated and swung his sword. Wedge! As she felt her energy draining away a crescent-shaped sword energy was shot forward. As he expected it did not reach the scarecrow. As the butterfly saw the sword disappear after flying about nine steps I nodded at him.
“Hmm. “Not bad.”
“What the fuck? “It’s as unpleasant as an old man’s pee feet.”
“It happens sometimes. People like you who don’t know the word step by step. “Keep in mind that you have skipped the user stage and gone straight to the sword expert stage.”
Nabirose repeatedly emphasized to Ronan not to be impatient. But it couldn’t be done. Even twice a day was not enough to scrape off the curse blocking the mana blood.
It was a car that was trying to lure her to quickly teach her how to use her sword technique. Suddenly what happened with Balzac at her tomb flashed through her mind.
“really. “I want to ask you something. Is it possible to change the form of sword energy?”
“It’s possible. “You can adjust the size with just a certain level of skill.”
“No it’s not just the size that changes it’s like a spray of water… so it doesn’t look like black.”
“Tell me in detail.”
The sword energy that was sprayed like a spray of water was much more powerful than the regular sword energy. Ronan gestured with his hands and feet to describe the sword energy displayed by Balzac. The fact that La Mancha’s sword body suddenly turned red. Butterfly Rose who heard the story shrugged her eyebrows.
“Hmm. “It seems Master Doron put a lot of effort into making your weapon.”
“What do you mean?”
“Give me the sword.”
It was a strangely excited voice. Ronan who shrugged her shoulders once handed La Mancha to her.
It was a moment when I lightly grasped the hilt of his sword with butterflies. Sigh! Blood-red mana began to pour out through the blade.
