Paaang! Jaipa’s body unfolded like a spring. The sky swallowed them up. Ronan cursed as he grabbed his tail with all his might.
“What the fuck…!”
“Aaaaaah!”
He almost broke his neck. It was a speed that far exceeded expectations. The forest which had suddenly become smaller was swaying far away. Paang! Jaipa fell in a gentle arc touched the ground and leaped again.
“Gyaaaaaaaa!”
Asher who had fainted woke up and screamed. Spit and tears were sprayed along the trail. The Wyverns were still flying straight toward the Baidian Mountains.
Jaipa caught up with the Wyverns in just seven jumps. He stopped at a spot where he expected the group of wyverns to reach soon. It was a rock sticking out like a watchtower in the middle of a wide field.
“Get down now.”
“100 million!”
Zyfa swung his tail as if it was flicking. The two boys were crumpled as if they had been hit by a huge whip. Asher who had barely escaped Ronan’s side fell to the floor and began to sob.
“Ugh… this is too much… this is really too much….”
It seemed like he no longer had the strength to get up. Ronan left Asher who was struggling and went to Jaifa’s side. He was standing on the edge of a rock with his arms crossed and looking up at the northern sky.
“There are more than I thought.”
“I know.”
The wyverns were getting closer quickly. The wyvern group approaching with an eerie roar was like a dark cloud from hell. Ronan stuck out his tongue when he saw that the number was well over a hundred.
“I saved the money frugally. “Wyverns are not common monsters.”
“What a shame. “I have to kill them all.”
Jaifa twitched his lips as if he had no intention of doing so. Wyverns like griffons were monsters that could be tamed and ridden.
With that number the value would have been astronomical. Jaipa who was silent for a moment opened his mouth without turning his gaze.
“So why did you follow me?”
“Just to help you out a little bit. “I want to check out the skills of the swordsman.”
“You’re helping me?”
“okay. “You don’t want to miss anyone.”
“That’s interesting.”
Jaifa laughed. His long tail was wagging back and forth. After cackling for a while he swung his scimitar without any warning.
Whoosh! It was an ordinary action that seemed to simply check whether the blade was sharp. The direction was towards the Wyverns but no sword energy was fired. What did you do? The moment Ronan tilted his head a huge black line was drawn in the center of the group.
“uh?”
It was an alien sight that could only be seen in Kratir’s spatial magic. The line which appeared to be approximately 50 meters in diameter was completely dividing the wyvern group. Zaifa said.
“But what are you going to help me with?”
Ronan’s eyes widened. At that time the black line turned red and blood burst out. A scene unfolded as if flame magic was exploding in a row. The Wyverns’ final words rang out along with the belated sound of a wave.
“Keaaaaaaa!”
“Keueeek!”
A torrential rain of fresh blood poured down. Pieces of shredded flesh were falling aimlessly. Jaipa swung his scimitar in succession. Suddenly! Once again a black line crossed the group turning about twenty wyverns into pieces of meat.
“This is…!”
It was only then that Ronan noticed that unidentified mana had been condensed on the blade of the scimitar. It was clearly an auror from Jaipa. Like dawn just before the sun rises a huge power that I have never seen before was pulsating in the black aura.
‘It’s an absolute monster. ‘It’s a different level.’
Ronan shook his head as if he was fed up. I also thought I knew why Nabirose was defeated. At that time a change occurred among the Wyverns who were being slaughtered. The group which had been gathered together indiscriminately split into thirteen formations and began to disperse in a fan shape.
“her?”
The wyverns consisting of three or four per squadron flew in a dizzying manner as if they were trying to figure out what to do and headed toward the Lomira Mountains. It was not a natural scattering for survival but a strategic scattering with a clear intention. Ronan laughed as if he was shocked.
“It looks like the caster hasn’t died yet.”
“I guess so.”
Jaifa was not embarrassed. After roughly estimating the number of remaining wyverns he turned to Ronan and said.
“Do not disturb.”
bang! Zaipa leapt like a gun and delivered a slash. The four wyverns approaching the lead fell into nine pieces. As he swung his scimitar in the air the two wyvern squadrons flying in the distance turned into clouds of blood. Red rain poured down once again drenching the forest.
“Crazy guy.”
Jaipa committed carnage with his repeated leaps and landings. Ronan who saw a squadron being annihilated shook his head.
It was not for nothing that the prisoners were relaxed. At that rate the Wyverns would have been annihilated before they could even get close to the Romaira Mountains. There seemed to be no problem. However Ronan’s expression was not very cheerful.
‘Something is strange.’
Nebula Clage’s unique sparkling mana was nowhere to be seen. No matter how hard I strained my eyes and looked around it was the same.
‘I’m sure they’ll be around.’
Nebula Clage was cunning. Even if he had to kill all the wyverns he couldn’t rest assured unless he caught the gang members.
Judging by the Wyverns’ elaborate movements there was a high possibility that they were quite close by. It was clear that he was cleverly hiding himself somewhere.
‘Where are you? ‘Where are you hiding?’
Suddenly Ronan’s eyes landed on the empty sky. Several large and small clouds were flowing under the cold blue sky.
If it weren’t for the crappy situation it was a beautiful sight worth sitting down and looking at. Ronan who suddenly felt something strange frowned.
“Hmm?”
A cloud was flying unusually low. It could have been done up to this point but the problem was the direction.
The clouds flowing at a slightly different angle from the wind were heading precisely toward the Lomira Mountains. Ronan’s mouth opened quietly.
“I found it.”
“Heeeeeeeek….”
Asher was watching the massacre of Zaifah with a grin on his face. At least three wyverns were being killed each time a black bullet was fired into the air.
Drops of blood flying in the wind were staining his hair even more red. At that time Ronan who was standing on the edge of the rock hurriedly ran over.
“If you are all rested get up quickly. “I have to go catch it.”
“You’re going to catch him…?”
“okay. “You need to know what these bastards are doing.”
Ronan who was yelling something incomprehensible helped Asher up. He stood shoulder to shoulder with Asher and pointed with his index finger at a suspicious cloud.
“Do you see that? “A cloud flying strangely low.”
“Uh yeah.”
“I will go there. “You can do it right?”
“You’re too far away…! If you throw it it will definitely miss…!”
“What are you talking about? “You will go together too.”
“to?”
Asher froze with an expression as if he was about to commit suicide. Ronan looked around. It would have been much more stable for him to hold on to something rather than fly away with his bare body.
“It would be nice to have something to act as support…let’s see.”
Perhaps because it was on top of rocks I couldn’t see anything useful. It was a car that I was wondering if I should break a rock and get in it. Quang! Suddenly a wyvern’s head fell in front of Asher. Asher who had collapsed screamed and took a step back.
“Kwaaaaaak! “Aaaah!!”
“what?”
There was no doubt that it was Jaifa’s work. The eyes stained with madness were blinking as if they were still alive. Ronan’s face brightened.
“Oh just right.”
It was the right size and even had a horn to serve as a handle. Ronan caught Asher who was about to faint and pinned him to his side. He stepped on the wyvern’s head shook Asher and said.
“depart.”
****
Even though it was the season when cicadas cry the high skies were as chilly as late fall.
White clouds were covering the entire area. Inside two wyverns were flying silently. The magically created clouds maintained a constant shape and speed without dispersing even when the wings flapped violently.
On the backs of the red and yellow dragons were a young man and an old man wearing white robes. They had been hovering in the sky shivering in the cold for several hours already. The young man riding the red wyvern opened his mouth.
“How much is left?”
“It will be soon. “I’ll be there in about thirty minutes at the latest.”
“That’s a good thing. “I ended up losing all the wyverns I had collected because of one damn stupid girl.”
The young man grumbled. He was in charge of gathering and controlling wyverns for this operation.
Things went wrong because a colleague who was in charge of controlling the aircraft suddenly left the formation. The old man who was watching this chuckled.
“I just collected it for bait anyway so what are you doing?”
“But what should I do if it’s a waste?”
“Be thankful that you won’t be found out by Jaifa. “If we hadn’t taken urgent action we would have been in danger too.”
“…Young Master is right. If that monster had caught us we would all have died. Damn it I don’t know what kind of crazy person spread the smell of rotten fish but I really hope it gets cleaned up.”
“It will happen as long as the goal is achieved.”
Things went wrong but it wasn’t a failure. What sent the monsters into a frenzy in the first place and the wyvern swarm that numbered over three digits were all just bait to divert attention. The young man asked in an anxious voice.
“You have it well right? “If I drop it now it’s really over.”
“Don’t worry. Even if you drop it I will get it before it hits the ground.”
The old man smoothing his beard nodded his head. In the claws of the wyvern he was riding was a sphere made of an unknown metal.
A magic circle so complex and geometric that no gaps were visible covered the surface of the sphere. The young man glanced at the sphere and burst into laughter.
“As expected Alibrihe is amazing. “There are thirty magic imprinted on that small sphere.”
“He’s not a high-ranking executive for nothing. “It is truly the grace of a star.”
“I mean. “Is it true that an old man may take the place created by Brigia’s absence?”
“That’s right. “I dare not compare to his strength but…”
“Wow then did you receive the cult leader’s blessing?”
Instead of answering the old man chuckled. The young man’s eyes widened as he realized the meaning. I was well aware of the old man’s strength but I had no idea that he would actually reach the position of branch leader. The young man asked with excitement in his voice.
“What did you get it for? ok?”
“Hehe I can’t tell you that. “I’ll just tell you that it has the ability to save us even if we drop that thing on a mountain range.”
The young man let out an exclamation. He had already told me everything he had received.
He was honestly a little scared but now he felt like he could carry out his mission with peace of mind. From today the empire will suffer from arteriosclerosis.
The huge explosion that occurs on the mountain road in Lomaira will become an unforgettable nightmare and remain in the memories of the ignorant.
“Okay then…”
The young man was about to say something. Sigh! Suddenly the clouds before his eyes parted and a wyvern’s head appeared.
At first he thought it was an entity that had been freed from his brainwashing and was attacking him. However the back of the wyvern’s head was not visible. The young man’s eyes widened.
“What hair?!”
“Fuck it took so long. “You worked hard Asher.”
“Uh huh…! By the way people really…!”
Moreover there was a person riding on top of the wyvern’s head. And two bright young babies. The old man who had always remained calm spoke in a panicked voice.
“What are you…?”
“There are two people. “I can kill one.”
Ronan didn’t answer. The distance was already narrow enough. Without hesitation he leapt at the old man kicking the wyvern’s head. La Mancha was pulled from her scabbard and rushed towards her tearing the clouds apart.
“Ohh.”
The old man shrugged his eyebrows. The boy’s slash came so fast that it was difficult to react. The old man who judged that it would be difficult for him to counterattack or evade licked his lips with regret.
“I had no intention of showing it here but it’s a waste.”
A circular protective shield unfolded around the old man’s body. Ronan’s eyes widened at the familiar sight. It was a bizarre veiled star protection that gave a completely different impression from the Mana Shield. Ronan said as if he was sighing in relief.
“Wow. “I almost got screwed.”
“Hmm?”
La Mancha drew an arc by cutting the star’s blessing. Sgak! A red line appeared on his wrinkled neck. Ronan landed with a kick to his chest knocking the old man’s head off.
