38. Scream from the ground (5)

#38

Ronan who had disappeared appeared between the two. Tuk. The man’s left arm fell to the floor. Soon a searing pain overtook her man.

“Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!”

A scream echoed through the Great Pupil. Her man grabbed her arm and she collapsed. Red blood spurted from the cross section where the bones were visible.

Most wizards would be incapacitated by pain alone but Ronan had no intention of giving himself a chance. Suddenly! The three sword strikes that flew straight away cut off the man’s both ankles and tongue.

“Hehehehe!”

“Eduon!”

“You should go too young lady.”

The man called Edeon collapsed. Ronan swung La Mancha straight at the woman. She felt something clicking on her blade which she was using as a mana shield.

Judging from the feel it was a decent shield but unfortunately the opponent was Ronan. Wow! A red line appeared where her woman’s thighs were and her fresh blood spurted out.

“Ugh! Sea shield?!”

“Wow that was shallow.”

Ronan clicked his tongue. She couldn’t feel her bones being cut. The woman pulled her body back without moving her legs as if someone was pulling her from behind. she shouted sharply.

“Cerisma!”

“What kind of magic does that do?”

At that moment Ronan’s body rose into the air. It felt completely different from Asher’s telekinesis. Ronan gritted his teeth as the enormous power enveloped his entire body.

“Mmm!”

“Swallow it right up!”

the woman shouted. Then the shape of a huge snake slowly appeared. The scenery of the great hollow was visible beyond her body which was wrapped around Ronan.

‘Was it a spirit…!’

The woman was pouring a potion she had retrieved from somewhere onto her own wounds. A serpent spirit called Cerisma thrust her bulbous head. The huge maw opened up and down.

-Shaaaaa….

“Nimi is it fashionable these days for women to keep a snake at a time?”

I could feel her crushed ribs compressing her lungs. Because her whole body was tied up there was no way to swing her sword. Ronan grabbed La Mancha buried in the coil.

She was so close that the snake’s tongue touched her cheek. Ronan pulling her arm away with all her might stabbed the snake in the eye with her La Mancha. Sigh! The tip of the translucent sword penetrated deep into the snake spirit’s eyes.

-Shaaaaaaaaa!

Her body that was wrapped around Ronan was thrown loose. Ronan who stepped over the snake just as she was rushed towards her woman. The woman was muttering something rapidly but La Mancha was already up to her neck.

“Oh no!”

I won’t miss it this time. This was the moment when La Mancha’s crescent moon was about to pierce the woman’s ankle. A familiar bass sound came from behind her.

“Explosion.”

In an instant a chill ran through my whole body. Ronan lowered his gaze and could see a huge magic circle blinking beneath her feet. In an instant dozens of cases flashed through Ronan’s mind.

‘It’s too late to avoid it. It cannot be stopped. It’s dangerous even to cut.’

It didn’t take long for her to make a decision. Ronan cut off only her mana shield and then rushed at the woman.

Kwaaaa!! The explosion engulfed the two people. A huge pillar of fire rose from the center of the Great Hollow and at the same time the entire area became as bright as day.

Coo coo coo coo…

Soon the flashes subsided. When the smoke cleared three people were revealed.

Ronan’s judgment was right. A deep and wide pit was dug where Ronan had been but there was not a single wound on his body. Ronan laughed when he saw Eduon.

“I thought he was an asshole.”

“Let her go.”

Edeon glared at Ronan and growled. Her pronunciation of her threats was fluent. Her severed left arm and tongue were reattached.

However she was a little doubtful whether she should call it sticking. If we had to be honest the correct way to describe her would be to say she has grown. Ronan frowned at her.

“Damn I’ll think about those three days every time I eat. “Are you human?”

Eduon’s newly grown left arm was not human. Dozens of tangled writhing tentacles barely resembled human hands.

The same went for the tongue and ankles. The wiggling strands that replaced tendons were disgusting.

The tentacles crawling out between his closed lips gave the impression that he was holding a live cephalopod in his mouth.

The woman was breathing heavily. She looked at Edoon who had become a monster and opened her mouth.

“Eduon….”

“Stay quiet lady. “My knife can’t recognize people’s faces.”

La Mancha’s blade was separated from her neck by a sheet of paper. Every time she took a breath the white nape of her neck touched the blade creating a stab wound in her.

Edoon said.

“I will accept your demands. I’ll tell you everything I know. So let her go.”

The blood flowing out one or two drops was being absorbed into La Mancha’s sword body. Ronan laughed as if he was dumbfounded.

“You’re very good at pretending to be affectionate towards the subject that has been given such magic.”

“Because she had a mana shield that could handle my magic. “I didn’t know you would use that.”

“Her mind tends to work quickly in tense situations.”

Ronan chuckled. Just as her Explosion was about to activate Ronan only slightly cut through her mana shield with his sword strike and then attacked the woman.

As expected the instantly regenerated mana shield blocked the explosion. Ronan suddenly with a straight face muttered.

“But…why do you talk like that? “Can’t you understand the situation?”

La Mancha drew an arc. Red lines appeared on both of her woman’s ankles. As soon as her tendons were severed her blood rushed out.

“Aaaah!”

“Cirilla!”

The woman named Cirilla sat down as if she had collapsed. Her hood was lifted revealing her face which had been hidden all along. A pair of elongated ears distinctly different from her glossy blonde human counterpart caught her eye.

Ronan stomped on the fallen Cirilla’s back and growled.

“It wasn’t human after all. “She recognized the smell of sulfur from the beginning.”

“Wow!”

She appeared to be an elf or half-elf. Due to the nature of her race her doll-like appearance stood out but that was none of her business. Ronan spoke to her pointing the tip of her sword at Cyrilla’s neck.

“Make your decision. Do you want to follow me in silence like this? Or would you rather have her limbs cut off and dragged away like a larva? “Don’t ask me twice.”

“shit…!”

Edoon clenched her fists. Wow. The sound of teeth breaking came from his mouth. Edoon whose body was trembling eventually lowered his head.

“…I will follow you.”

“good idea. If you cut it carelessly and it falls apart that’s also troublesome. Then come on…”

Suddenly Ronan interrupted what he was saying. I felt an indescribable sense of discomfort. The corners of Eduon’s eyes were slightly bent.

‘Are you smiling?’

Suddenly the wind blew from the right. Ronan feeling an eerie premonition turned his head towards her. Her giant fist covered in golden crystals was right in front of her eyes.

“It’s a plague…!”

Ronan laid La Mancha aside and took a defensive stance. Quaaaang! The giant’s blow exploded and dust exploded.

After blasting Ronan away the crystal giant picked up the stricken Cyrilla with her opposite hand.

“Sooooo….”

The giant placed her on his shoulder. Cyril pulling down her hood again opened her mouth.

“Ugh… Ugh… Thank you for taking the time Edoon.”

“How did you notice? “He apparently cast a perception-impairing and silencing spell.”

“He’s a warrior who relies on intuition like Zaifa… wow he’s such a monster…!”

Cirilla let out her rasping breath. What she was casting even before the explosion was a spell to control her crystal giant.

The bleeding from her ankles still hadn’t stopped. Unlike Edoon her body did not repair itself. Edeon said as if he was astonished.

“Well it was really dangerous for me too. “He had no hesitation in cutting that crazy bastard.”

“Now…hehe I’m really glad I killed him now….”

She never imagined that her life would be threatened by a little boy who appeared out of nowhere. Edoon shook her head.

“If I had encountered something that had grown a little more like you said… I would have been pinned down.”

But in the end combat experience made the difference between victory and defeat. I would never have imagined that a similar method to the Explosion would be used again. Eduon looked up at the crystal giant and whistled.

“Anyway it’s awesome. He’s a size fit for a king. “Wouldn’t it have been better to have used this giant in the first place?”

“It’s already like a shell… You know it can only last a few minutes.”

“It was true.”

She was rummaging through her arms and took out one of her sealed scrolls.

“First…hehe I’ll go back. “Please clean up after me.”

“okay. “Get treatment as soon as you get to the church.”

Cyril untied the strings that bound her scroll. A geometric magic circle was writhing on the black paper. A dark blue cluster of light was created behind her.

Edoon took her steps to confirm Ronan’s death. A thick cloud of dust was blocking the view. The crystal giant free from Cyril Ra’s control still had her right arm pinned to the ground.

It must have turned into a mush that is difficult to find. Edoon muttered clicking her tongue.

“What a waste…”

-Pot!

At that moment a circular void appeared in the dust and a shadow jumped out.

“ah?”

Edoon who made eye contact with Ronan for a moment opened his mouth. A slash of imperceptible speed passed through his limbs.

Sigh! All four limbs were separated from the body at the same time. Edoon’s consciousness was cut off due to pain that exceeded his limit. Cyril seeing the sight let out her scream.

“How!”

“You said you were going to catch me right?”

Ronan’s appearance was beyond words. The dust caked on her blood covered her entire body. The blood flowing from his forehead was pooling at the tip of his chin.

“wait.”

Ronan took aim at Cyril with the tip of her sword and began to sprint. Every time he hit the crystal giant’s arm the gap narrowed at an incredible speed.

“Oh no!”

It was the moment when Cirilla was about to hurriedly throw her body into the portal. She threw the La Mancha that Ronan was holding. The sword flew in a straight line from her and hit Cyril La’s knee.

“Aaaah!”

La Mancha’s knee was pierced straight into the giant’s body. Cirilla struggled desperately and tore off her own legs. Ronan saw the scene and spat on the floor.

“shit. “What a fucking bitch.”

“This can’t be happening…this is ridiculous…!”

Crawling on her heels Cyrilla finally reached her portal. She murmured looking back at Ronan with her tear-stained face.

“I will never…never forget what happened today. “I will find you wherever you are and kill you.”

“Stop!”

Cirilla’s arm gradually disappeared into the portal. She was just barely able to catch up.

She had nothing left to throw. adhesion. anger. despair. Three emotions were rushing through Ronan’s head like a storm.

Just as Cirilla’s head was about to enter the portal her world turned black.

Ronan and Cirilla’s bodies stopped at the same time.

“uh…?”

Cirilla could not understand her current situation. A portal whose duration was running out was blinking before her eyes. She needed to jump in immediately but her body wouldn’t move as if it were a stone.

Shuuuuk…!

After a few seconds the portal disappeared. Yet Cirilla could not even let out her scream of despair. Her familiar voice came from behind Ronan.

“Are you okay? Ronan.”

“Really… fantastic timing.”

A familiar voice. Familiar paralysis. Even experiencing it again it still felt like shit.

Still she was better than when she first got hit. Ronan who turned his head to see her flutter grinned.

A snake so huge that it could not even be compared to her snake spirit Serisma was glaring at Cirilla. It was Mansa (輓巳) an auror of the Sword Saint of the previous generation.

Butterfly Rose’s voice flowed from the slightly gaping maw.

“I heard the general details. “He did a great job.”

“Wow…do you know how to give praise instructor?”

“I do it when I have to. By the way… there are injuries on her body Ronan.”

Nabirose who was looking at Ronan in complete disrepair muttered softly. At the same time the scales of all things rose like waves.

“For the body that needs to take my class.”

“Ah…ahhh….”

Cirilla’s face turned pale. In a world where her five senses were paralyzed she was looking at a huge snake coming towards her. Nabirose finally arrived in front of Cirilla grabbed her by the hair and spoke.

“Did you touch my student?”

The snake’s mouth closed. Cirilla’s consciousness was cut off. I held her in my arms with the butterflies that had finally come to fruition.

As soon as Ronan got off the giant’s body he collapsed on her floor. The accumulated fatigue was coming to me late.

“Oh my…it’s hard.”

Ronan lifted her head. The light created by the luminescent moss was embroidering everywhere like a cluster of stars. The screams that echoed from the ground could no longer be heard.

“Navi Rose!”

Soon soldiers carrying torches followed suit. Butterfly Rose ordered throwing Cyrilla down next to her bastard Eduon.

“Arrest these two people.”
