“son. “Get up.”
“Uh…uhhh….”
Ronan groaned while lying down. Her whole body was tingly as if she had come out of the water. When she barely managed to lift her eyelids she saw her savior looking down at her with his back to her.
“Miss I’m surprised…what is it?”
“What is it? “Did you forget we were going on a picnic?”
Ronan frowned and raised his upper body. He was lying on a rough wooden bed. The scent of dirt grass and wild flowers was seeping through the half-open window.
“Where is…?”
Ronan looked out the window and tilted his head. The scenery of his hometown Nimbton was unfolding. Beyond the low fence were rolling hills where flocks of sheep roamed.
‘Why am I here? ‘What were you doing?’
On the winding river village children were playing and floating a raft. I felt like something important had happened but I couldn’t remember it. After seeing that his son had woken up the savior suddenly turned his back.
“If you’re awake let’s leave. Iril and your mother have been fussing with me so much… I don’t have much time left so it’s difficult.”
“yes?”
He left the room without responding. I didn’t know why he was saying that he didn’t have time. Come to think of it it seemed like it was his first time going for a walk with his father.
“Why are you saying that?”
Ronan muttered to himself and stood up. He didn’t notice that his height had shrunk by more than half.
After putting on some clothes he went out to the living room where his mother and Iril were waiting. The two dazzlingly beautiful mother and daughter were already ready to go out. Iril who must have been ten years old now waved her hand and said hello.
“Ronan! good morning!”
“Oh my our prince has woken up. Dad is waiting outside. Shall we go quickly?”
“What do you like?”
Ronan nodded his head half-heartedly. Iril rushed over to him grabbed his hand and led him.
“Ronan! Just follow me sister! “I won’t get lost this time!”
“okay. okay….”
As I left the house refreshing sunlight poured down. The savior stood still and admired the blue sky. He heard the door closing and turned to look at his family.
“Everyone came out. Then let me tell you today’s destination. as soon as….”
“Go far today! further!”
“Hey come on. “Dad is talking.”
Iril jumped up and down urging the savior. Her mother smiled and tried to stop her but it was impossible to stop the girl in the midst of her play. The savior looking at his daughter with warm eyes stretched out his hand.
“okay. So shall we go to the top of that hill today? Even if it seems close it still has to go a long way.”
His index finger was pointing to a hill some distance away. There was a large oak tree growing at the top so it was clearly visible from afar. Iril clapped his hands in joy.
“Wow! great!”
“Are you okay Ronan?”
“I’m happy anywhere.”
Ronan agreed. In fact he enjoyed wherever he went with his family. The savior who was quietly looking at him nodded his head.
“that’s right. “Me too.”
And so the short journey began. Ronan strolled down the street with his family enjoying the view of his hometown. We greeted the residents we met along the way and asked how they were doing. Ronan raised his eyebrows when he encountered Asher carrying a backpack.
“Oh Asher. “Where are you going?”
“Uh huh…my mother asked if I wanted to learn magic properly…so I decided to go to the island and try it out.”
“Ohh. It’s magic. “Okay give it a try.”
Ronan patted him on the back. Asher left a polite greeting to Ronan’s family and headed toward the carriage. He thought he would live like a coward his whole life but he was glad he found what he wanted to do. Suddenly a sudden question raised his head.
‘But have I ever met him?’
It seemed like we hadn’t even exchanged greetings but I couldn’t tell what happened. Ronan shrugged his shoulders and started walking again. Spring flowers were in full bloom on both sides of the trail.
“What? “Let’s bake and eat these guys together.”
The savior who succeeded in fishing said as he held up four trout. It looked very fresh as it was still flapping around. They were packing nimbarton and preparing lunch by the riverside.
“Wow! Dad is the best!”
Iril smiled brightly and hung on the savior’s neck. Her mother who saw the scene covered her mouth and laughed.
Ronan’s family ate their lunch box along with freshly caught grilled trout. The river colored the same indigo color as the sky was beautiful. Not long after we finished eating and set off Iril started rubbing her eyes.
“Ugh…I’m sleepy after eating….”
“Would you like to ride on my back?”
“No…! “I can go too!”
Iril shook Ronan’s hand away. Looking at her dozing off it seemed like she wouldn’t be able to last much longer but she didn’t seem to want to be indebted to her younger brother just because she was her older sister.
“I can go…kuuuu….”
“Ugh.”
Iril who was stubborn soon reached the point where he could walk in his sleep. He was amazed that he didn’t stop walking even though his saliva was dripping.
“I knew it would be like this.”
Ronan who had let out a deep sigh was about to carry her. The savior who was leading the way stopped in place.
“I won’t move it. “What the heck.”
“I can really carry you.”
Ronan spoke but his opinion was not adopted. The savior holding Iril in one arm began to climb the hill again. The mother next to her asked playfully.
“Oh can you please listen to me too?”
“Is that so?”
As soon as those words were out the savior picked up her mother. The sight of her carrying her mother and daughter up in her arms was very impressive. Her mother let out a short scream and slapped his shoulder.
“Aaaah! You too. “Everyone is watching…!”
“What do you think?”
The savior blurted out. Her mother was embarrassed but she didn’t seem displeased. The savior stayed in that state and walked for a while longer.
He looked around and took a rest and the sun was already setting when he arrived at his destination. He could smell his wool in the increasingly cool wind. The shadow of the village against the setting sun stretched long.
“Kuu…kuuuu….”
“You really…can’t do it here….”
Iril and his mother were fast asleep leaning against an oak tree. Ronan and the Saviors were standing side by side admiring the burning sky. The savior looked back at the two and laughed.
“You’re sleeping well. Iril definitely takes after your mother.”
“I see. “Except the color of her hair.”
“So how was your day today Ronan? “Did you enjoy it?”
“Well… in my own way.”
Ronan hesitated. Although I didn’t show much it was an undeniably happy time. The savior stroked his head a couple of times and then turned his gaze towards the sunset again.
“Thank goodness.”
And there was silence for a long time. I always felt this way but when I was alone with my father I didn’t have much to say. The sun was starting to sink below the horizon.
“This was my wish.”
“yes?”
“It means going on an outing with the family. No one would have expected it. “This is the dream of the creator of the terrifying Nebula Clazier.”
Ronan shrugged his eyebrows at the savior’s sudden words. His eyes were filled with sadness as he looked at the setting sun. Nebula Clage? What is that?
“Ronan. “I would like to apologize to you again.”
“What are you talking about all of a sudden?”
“I was a really bad person. It’s the same for me but I placed a particularly heavy burden on you. I wanted to show you and teach you more. “Like other fathers.”
“So what is that….”
“Besides I couldn’t give up my selfishness even in this last given time.”
Ronan didn’t answer. I couldn’t understand what it meant. The savior continued speaking freely.
“As it was the last time I originally wanted to take you to a nicer place. “Among the sights I have seen over an immeasurable period of time there are many beautiful things that leave me speechless… But the reason I chose this place as my first and last outing is….”
Suddenly the savior dragged his tail. He turned his gaze and made eye contact with Ronan. Ronan was already a hand taller than him.
“What can I say…I can’t think of a better place than where the family was together for a while.”
The savior concluded. Suddenly a bolt of lightning struck Ronan’s head. His forgotten memories returned at once.
Giants that disappear by turning into particles. The sky collapsing and the back of the savior raising a shield. Ronan who stumbled for a moment while resting his forehead looked back at his savior.
“for a moment….”
Where are we? Why am I here? Before I knew it Iril and his mother were no longer visible. The scenery of my hometown was crumbling from afar. Ronan was taken aback by the inexplicable phenomenon.
“What the fuck happened?”
“It’s okay. Because this crisis was somehow overcome. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you until the end.”
“That’s some bullshit Dad. “You mean it’s the last time?”
Ronan asked excitedly. The savior who heard the word father suddenly raised his hands and covered his face. A wet voice came out from his mouth as he took a deep breath.
“Father. ha ha ha….”
The Savior laughed. He mumbled the word “father” over and over again before removing his hand from covering his face. Traces of water were clearly visible beneath the reddened eyes.
The Savior placed his hand on Ronan’s cheek and opened his mouth.
“It’s always a great thing to hear.”
He had a benevolent smile on his face just like when I first met him in the glass coffin. Ronan tried to say something more but no voice came out. Soon the fading scenery of my hometown turned into a completely blank slate.
Ronan muttered in his receding consciousness.
.
.
.
“father?”
Ronan opened his eyes. My vision which had been dark for a while became bright again. Facing the pure white sky he stood up as if he was jumping.
“What the fuck is this….”
Ronan who was looking around furrowed his brows. A desolate world unfolded. The first thing that caught my eye was the Allied soldiers lying and groaning and the Savior’s defense shield collapsing into pieces.
“Ugh…whose eyes…!”
“Ugh….”
Everyone was suffering with their eyes closed. There seemed to be no deaths but conditions never looked good.
The landscape beyond the shield had turned into a barren wasteland. Where the dense forests and mountain ranges had all disappeared only a wind mixed with dust was blowing.
【Krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..’
The dragons including Navardose were groaning as they fell to the ground. Intense burns covered their bodies. This was because unlike other people most of them were flying in the sky. Ronan muttered brushing his bangs.
“…What happened?”
He had to find out the truth quickly. Suddenly a familiar figure was caught in the corner of Ronan’s vision. The Savior stood in the same position as when he last saw him. The sight of him raising his arms towards the sky was very proud.
“father.”
Ronan called to him but the Savior did not answer. Ronan staggered closer and took a deep breath. The savior was frozen in that position and his breath had stopped.
“…father?”
My eyes were open so I felt like I was still alive. But I no longer felt warmth where I touched his hand.
It was a death without a doubt. An indescribable wave of emotion was rising within Ronan’s heart. Suddenly a familiar voice rang out from high in the sky.
“at las. Is he dead?』
