#264
“Navardose.”
Ronan opened his mouth. Navardose lowered his gaze and his eyes met. A soft and majestic voice rang out again.
【Nice to meet you. Oh my.】
“me too. whopping.”
Ronan laughed as if he were dumbfounded. He said he was late but it was amazing timing. If he had been a little later he would have lost Asher. Navardose who was looking around continued speaking.
【Where did that monster go? Are you here to cause further destruction?】
“ah. “I killed him.”
【what?】
“Literally. “I cut off his head with a knife.”
Ronan pretended to cut his own throat with the blade of his hand. Navardose’s face hardened. Grumble! For a moment I thought her body was engulfed in flames but then she dispersed like smoke.
The sky that had been hidden behind her body unfolded before her eyes. Navardose polymorphed into a human form stood up. The still attractive married dragon woman was wearing a different combat uniform than the one she saw in Phileon. She said as she came closer to Ronan.
“Tell me in detail.”
“Whoa…calm down.”
Ronan unknowingly backed away from her. The flame pockets coming at her feet felt more threatening than most of her beasts. If you touch it you will definitely get burned. He cornered opened his mouth.
“So…where should I start talking?”
Since the situation was over anyway I thought it would be okay to explain in detail. The earth was fixed as if a nail had been driven into the sky and there was no sign of it falling again.
I guess I should start with the reason I came to Adren. Ronan who had gathered her thoughts was about to take her luck.
【I-Bardoze-!!】
“hmm?”
Suddenly a loud shout rang out from the side. The flesh spread out like an explosion as if an awl was piercing the skin.
“ah. “Fuck.”
Ronan cursed without realizing it. The black mana she had seen so many times throughout this journey was flowing over her Orsay’s shoulders.
Now that I think about it she forgot for a moment. Orsay’s ultimate purpose in coming to Adren. Before he knew it he had pulled out a spiral spear and was holding it tightly. Orsay who had spun his spear a few times aimed it at Navarre and shouted.
【You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this moment! I will kill you here and destroy Balon!】
“You… are that demon dragon. “You’re younger than I thought.”
Despite Orsay’s terrifying sentence there was no trace of tension on Navardose’s face. Her blood relatives hovering above her raised their scales.
【mother! It’s dangerous!】
“It’s okay just stay still.”
Her children all shouted urgently but Navarre herself remained calm. She stayed on her back and did nothing. Suddenly Orsay’s new model disappeared from sight. Easy profit! He came right in front of me in an instant and threw out his spear.
【Die!!】
It was an incredible momentum. The spiral spear filled with Orsay’s mana and life seemed to have cut off part of her lightning rather than a weapon. Phew! Orsay’s spiral spear came rushing in and stuck in the center of her chest. Navardose smiled.
【what…!】
“The greeting is rough. “It’s a child.”
Orsay’s eyes widened as if they were about to pop out. The spear stuck but did not penetrate. The blade of Orsay’s spear which had taken the lives of countless people ‘entered’ deep into her chest without even being able to tear off the clothes Navarre was wearing.
“oh my god.”
“Wow wow….”
Ronan and Asher covered their mouths with their hands and exclaimed. It was an ambiguous exclamation with two meanings. How can skin be that tough? How could the spear go that deep without piercing the skin?
The two were in the midst of having dirty thoughts. Navarre lowered her gaze and tapped on her spiral window. She made her snort as if she was interested.
“Hmm… Still this is quite useful. “Is it made from your bones?”
【This can’t be happening! What kind of trick did you pull?】
“I will specially appoint you to the vanguard. “This rudeness will be passed over to me so please get some rest.”
【Holy shit…】
It was a car that Orsay was trying to say something about. Navarre also used his waist as support and shook his upper body. Pow! An invisible force struck Orsay.
【Gagging!】
There was no time to say anything. Orsay was thrown back as if he had been hit by a huge rhino. His body which was flying in a straight line crashed into a pile of rubble in the Sky Tower. Quaaaang! Dust exploded with a loud roar.
【This is ridiculous…】
“Didn’t you faint? “It lives up to its name.”
Soon enough when the dust settled his appearance was revealed. Orsay buried deep in a pile of rubble looked like some kind of strangely shaped fossil. Slurp. His head which had been shaking soon dropped.
“Oh Master Orsay….”
Asher took a deep breath while holding Ronan’s sleeve. It was a truly ugly defeat. It felt like he had really been struck in the chest as Ronan had joked about before.
“…You idiot.”
Ronan clicked his tongue as if he was pathetic. Orsay who had completely lost his consciousness could not reply.
I already knew that the difference in skill was far-fetched. He also knew that Orsay had exhausted his stamina by fighting multiple battles.
Still he didn’t expect that it would be blown up in one hit. Navardozer brushed the dust off his chest and looked back at Ronan.
“Now then let’s continue the story.”
“…Of course.”
Ronan hesitated. He explained in detail how he came to Adren and what happened leading up to Doaru’s death.
“I am sorry for what I said but I am coming to see if there is anything left on this earth that can be salvaged. See you later.”
“So be it.”
Lorhorn flew towards the city with greetings. While the conversation was going on he and his free-handed dragons dispersed throughout Adren and set to work rescuing the wounded and extinguishing the fires. Only Asher and Orse who were trapped in a pile of rubble remained and listened to the conversation between the two.
“…As expected it was related to those fanatics. “I gave an order to exterminate my Ajidahaka but I never thought they would join hands.”
“Even though I realized my mistake in the end and worked hard.”
Ronan who had been talking for a while finished speaking. The story had been so long that morning had already dawned in Adren.
The sunrise rising over the horizon was beautiful. The water scales of the ocean spread out far away at my feet breaking into the same color as sunlight. Navardose who was contemplating the conversation spoke with a somewhat serious expression.
“I need to be held accountable. Where is Ajdahaka?”
“hmm? Now that I think about it…”
Ronan shrugged his eyebrows. When I thought about it I stopped seeing the Dragon King for a long time. At that time Asher who was quietly breathing pointed somewhere with his index finger.
“It’s over there. “I feel a presence over there.”
“Oh thank you. By the way Asher has become a stutterer again. “It was a little cool earlier.”
Ronan laughed. It seemed like he would never forget the sight of Asher pulling the star’s magic to stop Adren from falling until his death.
It seems like only yesterday that we were robbing goblin villages together but I wonder when it became this big. Asher who took the joke seriously whimpered.
“I’m sorry… I really need to fix this…”
“doesn’t care. “Because it’s fun to make fun of it.”
Ronan patted Asher on the back. In the past corrections were forced to avoid being looked down on but now there is no need to do so. Who would look down on a wizard who can stop a falling island with his bare body because he stutters?
Ronan and Navardose followed Asher. It didn’t take that long. The three stopped in the middle of the forest where they fought Duaru. Ronan narrowed his eyes when he spotted Ajidahaka.
“…Ajidahaka?”
【Ah…you came.】
The left side of Ajidahaka’s head opened its mouth weakly. He was laying his huge body on the floor like a stranded ship. Around it dragons that appeared to be Schlieffen and Naransonia’s entourage were lined up with tearful expressions on their faces.
“Were you here too?”
“okay.”
Schlieffen nodded to Ronan’s question. Like everyone else his expression wasn’t very good. Ronan could easily tell that they had gathered to guard the deathbed. Ajda Haka continued without turning his head.
【I should have praised your efforts but as you can see I was unable to do so due to my poor physical condition… If you search the area where the Sky Tower collapsed you will find the treasures I have gathered so take whatever you find…. 】
It was a voice as if plowing a drought-stricken rice field. The right side of the head which is responsible for the woman’s personality was hanging down with its eyes closed as if she had already died. Blood was still flowing freely from the wide open wound on his side and the severed leg. Ronan who had been chewing his lips sighed.
“okay. I will accept it gratefully. “But I have a customer you need to meet.”
【customer…?】
Ajda Haka lifted his head with difficulty. Navardose stood there without saying anything. When her eyes finally met Azida Haka froze like a stone statue. Navarro was silent for a moment before he opened his mouth.
“It’s been a while. Ajdahaka.”
【…That’s right.】
“Don’t you have something to tell me?”
【A lot… a lot… um.】
thud! Azida Haka who had been staggering precariously lowered his head again. He said he felt sorry for the man who fell down with his chin right in front of Navardose.
【Please forgive my rudeness. The fire of the beginning.】
“It’s okay. I roughly know the whole story of the incident. “They came up with a great plan.”
【…I won’t deny it. Jealousy blinded her eyes and envy stopped her ears. It’s all my fault that the once brilliant city of dragons ended up like this.】
“okay. It’s nice to see you admit it. “You know why I came right?”
[A failed revolutionary is nothing more than a traitor. I will accept it.】
Ajidahaka readily admitted his mistake. Navarro I gently lifted her hand. Those close to me froze when they saw the scene. Although it was a light movement the meaning conveyed was anything but.
【your majesty!】
Those who gathered here knew what she could do with just a flick of her hand. It would not have been an easy task to burn a dragon that could not move without a trace. Azida Haka who was quietly breathing opened her mouth.
【Don’t move. Naransonia…I’m just taking responsibility.】
【Haona…!】
Sonia who was about to run out behind her stopped. Her blood was flowing down her clenched fist. Other subordinates could not bear to step forward and were seen suffering. Navardose looked around at them and shrugged his eyebrows.
“You have good servants.”
【For me…it was too much.】
Ajda Haka raised the corner of his mouth. Navardose’s hand rested on his forehead. Sonia and her close associates let out silent screams. Ajidahaka closed his eyes and spoke as if pleading.
【Mother of Fire…others…my subordinates…have no sin. Please I hope you can finish it with just one head.】
“I’m sorry but that must be difficult.”
【No matter what… it won’t work?】
“okay.”
Navarro nodded his head coldly. Despair appeared on Ajidahaka’s face. Apparently she also intended to hold her subordinates responsible for sympathizing with her Ajda Haka.
Her hand on her forehead was slowly becoming brighter. Now the primordial fire would turn his body into ashes. Azida Haka who was unable to protect his men in the end was about to say something. Suddenly Navardose smiled brightly.
“You have two heads.”
At the same time the light blooming from Navardose’s hand became significantly stronger. It was not a flame meant to burn. Ajidahaka’s eyes which had been closed opened.
【what….】
His body was enveloped in a warm glow. His cold blood was heating up again. The wounds on his side and severed hind leg were healing quickly.
“I’m sorry…!”
The dragons around them burst out in bewilderment. Ronan and the others were also watching his recovery as if they were possessed. How much time had passed? The right side of his head which had been lying dead slowly lifted up.
【…The fire of the beginning. me-】
【Why are you sparing me?】
【I never-】
【I committed an unforgivable sin…】
Her male and female voices rang out again. Her withering scales were shining a more brilliant golden color than when she first met him. Navarro nodded his head.
“You cannot be held responsible only for death. Besides you still have work to do. “It’s hard work but if you think about it as washing away your sins it won’t be so unfair.”
【What I’m asking you to do is-】
【What is it?】
Ajidahaka frowned. Navarro raised his hand and said pointing to the sky.
“You must have read the letter I sent you. High up in the sky there is a fortress called Drimoor. Most of Adren’s dragons including you should go there. “Only at that level will you be able to handle my absence.”
“What?”
Ronan’s eyes widened as he listened to the story. It was unthinkable that Navardose would leave Drimoor. Navarro looked back at him and nodded his head with a serious expression.
“okay. “We will go on an all-out offensive.”
