【…Keuuuugh.】

Ajidahaka’s middle head opened its eyes. Her vision was bright as if there was fog everywhere. A damp fishy smell was mixed in the musty air.

He was hanging his head upside down in a large space. The drooping hair branches were swinging like an abandoned swing. Dark red blood was flowing between gaped teeth.

‘What happened to me…?’

Ajidahaka groaned. I even remembered running into the giant with his breath in my hand. I think there was a flash of light but I couldn’t remember what happened after that.

His body didn’t move. There was no feeling under his head as if he had frostbite. Although most of his control had been taken away by the third head this was the first time that his senses had been completely cut off.

The other two heads were not visible. As he rolled his eyes left and right he saw heads bobbing in the same shape as his. They all had their eyes closed as if they were dead but when I saw them twitching slightly it seemed like they were alive.

【Here…】

First I needed to understand the situation. Ajidahaka slowly looked around. There was an unfamiliar landscape that made me wonder if this was Adren.

It was an open and empty space like a square. The dark stone walls were covered with moss. In many ways he gave the impression of being the complete opposite of his gold-covered abode.

The sound of water flowing was coming from somewhere. Suddenly Ajidahaka’s eyes widened. This was a sewer underground in Adren.

【…ah.】

It seemed like something would come to mind. He was desperately groping in his head. Suddenly someone’s voice rang out from the corner of my vision.

“This is another masterpiece. Did you come out for an inspection?”

【Hmm?】

It was a voice I had heard many times. Ajidahaka looked away. An old man was looking up at her with his back to her.

【you…!】

Ajidahaka’s eyes widened. Although he had a human appearance it was easy to tell that he was actually a dragon.

Moreover the mana flowing from her body looked very familiar. It didn’t take long to realize his identity.

【Alibrihe? Is it really you?】

“It’s been a while. “Friend.”

Alibrihe smiled. Ajidahaka’s eyebrows furrowed in shock.

It was a reunion after almost a thousand years. The two dragons who had last parted ways had been hanging out together since they had just left the hatchlings.

I never expected to meet you in a place like this. Ajidahaka whose eyes were twitching continued speaking.

【Why are you here? What is that old man looking like? When did you come to Adren?】

“It’s been a while. I’m sorry to say this to you but it’s nice that I only have one head and it makes conversation easier. “I’m tired from looking up and talking so I’ll lie down here for a bit.”

【…Your personality is the same as before. Do whatever you want.】

Alibrihe literally lay down on the spot. The blood leaking from her mouth could have covered her but she didn’t care at all. Azida Haka who was looking down at him dumbfounded opened his mouth.

【Do you know what happened to your luggage? He can’t feel anything from his head down.】

“It has to be that way. “Because you are dying.”

【What.】

Ajidahaka sighed. He couldn’t figure out what nonsense this was about dying suddenly. Alibrihe continued.

“Still I respect your vitality. There is nothing wrong with calling it the next dragon after Navardose. “I can’t believe you’re still alive after being hit in the side by that monster.”

【monster? ah…!】

Suddenly Ajidahaka’s face hardened. Memories buried in his fog began to emerge one by one.

The descent of a giant and the collapsing Sky Tower. The third head’s shocking declaration that I am an entity that originated from you. He attempted to turn the tables by using his subordinates as bait but the fight ultimately ended in a crushing defeat.

The night sky I looked up as I was falling was shining a light dark blue. He ended up colliding with the floor breaking the ground and slamming his head into the sewer. Ajidahaka gritted his teeth as he remembered everything.

【Damn….】

He felt unfair and resentful. However there was no fighting spirit or desire to win. Ajidahaka sighed in resignation and smiled bitterly.

【It’s meaningless.】

I couldn’t figure out where it went wrong. Ever since I joined hands with some shady guys called Nebula Clazier? Or from the moment he decided to defeat Navardose?

Now I couldn’t even remember why I wanted to beat Navardose. Alibrihe who had been staring at him quietly shrugged his eyebrows.

“The response is more lukewarm than I expected. Are you giving up?”

【You don’t know. ‘That’ is not an opponent you can beat.】

He was not excited by Alibrihe’s provocative tone. The despair of that time was weighing him down.

Ajidahaka remembered the sight of the giant Doaru who survived without a scratch even after being hit with all his might. Although he could not see the side where the bullet had been hit he could easily guess that it was in a terrible state.

His increasingly dark vision showed that his life was running out. It seemed that his old friend’s words that he was dying were not false. Ali Bryhe who was silent for a moment nodded his head.

“That’s possible. “Because that is a definite choice.”

Alibrihe did not specifically reprimand Ajdahaka. He continued talking while fiddling with his beard.

“Then before you die would you like to talk a little about old times with me? “It’s too precious time to waste on meaningless regrets or questioning why I’m here.”

【…It doesn’t matter. It’s already over.】

“okay. “It’s a good idea.”

Ajidahaka silently agreed. Everything was over anyway and it didn’t really matter how the period ended. Alibrihe smiled slightly and began to talk.

****

【hey. wizard.】

“Yes yes?”

【Do you know what that guy is doing now?】

Orsay asked. The gradually brightening dawn sky stretched over his head. He was still imprisoned in the prison created by the Dragon King and his minions.

The Dragon King left Orsay alone to deal with the suddenly appearing giant. It was a golden opportunity to escape but the seal that held all kinds of tough plants and ores together with magical power could not be broken no matter how hard one tried.

Asher was lying limp in the space between his neck and torso. Even if he wanted to do something he couldn’t move because he had used up all his mana. He turned his head in Orsay’s direction and stammered.

“Uh…so…are you looking for something?”

【Looking for it… I guess so.】

Orsay hesitated. Their eyes were fixed on the giant flying in the distance. Duaru who had slaughtered three digits of dragons in an instant stopped attacking and was slowly circling the sky above Adren.

Adren’s resistance ended with the Dragon King being shot down. At Duaru’s feet the Sky Tower was broken in two and Adren had become hell. The Sky Tower collapsed leaving only the lower part as a stump crushing it across the city.

Amidst the smoke and flames billowing from all directions its former splendid appearance could not be found. The survivors’ screams cries and mournful wails were telling us that no movie lasts forever. Asher who was staring at the two Aru opened his mouth.

“Why…did they stop attacking?”

【That’s what I want to know. There are still many survivors left.】

Orsay narrowed his eyebrows. Resistance had stopped but there were still quite a few people still alive on the ruins.

However Duaru had not attacked at all from the moment he shot down the Dragon King. It was an action that was contrary to the initial momentum that seemed like it would tear even a single rat to pieces.

Should I just walk around like that and then leave? They were observing the giant with a questioning look. Du Aru suddenly stopped and stretched out his arms. Seaaaa… Particles of light began to gather in his grasp again.

“Here we go again!”

Asher’s face turned pale. In an instant the created spear of light was held in his hand. There was no time to say anything. Kwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! As Duaru swung his arms towards the ground an explosion occurred at the same time and shook the ground.

“Hyaaaaaak!”

Asher let out a loud scream. But the attack did not end with that one time. Duaru repeatedly threw a spear of light at the same spot. bang!! Kwaaaang!! Every time there was a roar a soaring pillar of light was tearing through the clouds.

“I don’t want this anymore please…!”

Asher crouched covering both his ears. Orsay frowned.

【…what?】

I couldn’t understand why Duaru would do something like that. The place where he was throwing his spear was just an ordinary forest. There are no buildings or residents at all.

It was a car where I was worried about his strange behavior. Suddenly feathers began to fall out from under Doaru’s wings. The shining feathers falling gently were as beautiful as cherry blossoms fluttering in the wind.

But it didn’t take long to realize that it was no ordinary feather. It was the moment the first feather landed on the ground.

Paaaa…! White light shimmered from the area where the feather touched. In the glow of the furnace-like glow a giant who was probably 3 meters tall slowly stood up. It looked as if the wings had been removed from Doaru and shrunk. His entire body was covered in light so his facial features could not be seen.

“Gooooh!”

“That thing?!”

Finally the giant straightened his back and let out a roar. Asher shrugged his shoulders. Wherever the feather fell giants were rising.

I had a feeling that something was very bad. Within a few minutes the number of giants increased from dozens to hundreds. Suddenly they began to disperse leaving behind Duaru who was still throwing his spear in the same spot.

Most of them were moving towards the city where many survivors remained. Soon a desperate scream rang out from the direction the giants had run.

“Kwaaaaaak!”

“what? “Please save me…Aaaah!”

Asher turned his head in the direction where he heard the sound and froze. The little giants were finding and killing the survivors one by one.

Hands and legs made of light were kicking trampling and even grabbing people and tearing them alive.

Kwasik! The giant’s leg fell on top of the mother who was curled up holding her child. Asher let out a scream when he saw the blood bursting out like a boil.

“Stop that!!”

It seems that the assumption that he would be saved if he did not resist was wrong. I had to save him right away but I had no strength in my body. This was because all of the mana in his body was used up during the battle with the Dragon King.

“Oh no…no….”

Tears were flowing endlessly from Asher’s eyes. Even as he looked at this scene of extreme fear and despair he felt helpless and unable to do anything.

【Holy shit. He was completely out of his mind.】

Suddenly Orsay who was looking at Douaru gritted his teeth. It felt like he knew what he was doing. Asher asked back without turning his head.

“Why are you doing this…?”

Orsay did not answer right away. Rumbling…! Suddenly the ground beneath his feet shook as if there had been an earthquake. It was not a vibration caused by an explosion but a fundamental shaking as if something huge was twisting the body deep in the depths.

Quaaaaaaaaa! The spear of light struck again causing a huge explosion. At the landing site a hole had already been dug as if a meteorite had fallen. Orsay who had been drooling opened his mouth.

【…This guy is planning to bring down Adren as a whole. By destroying the floating stone at the center of the island.】
