25. Admission
#25
The cut surface was clean. Braum looked in vain at the great sword with its severed leg. Ronan answered dryly.
“I just saw it once and copied it.”
“You saw it once…and copied it…?”
Braum’s expression hardened. It was fortunate that no one else heard Ronan’s words.
The second year martial arts students especially those taking Nabi Rose’s class were already extremely surprised.
“I just…! “The new student used Nabirose-sama’s spinning sword right?”
“Could it be a secret disciple? How can it be so perfect…!”
Nabiroze Ryu 3-second revolving sword.
Among the sword techniques invented by Nabiroje Chosik served as the final blow.
A technique to maximize power and overcome physique differences by rotating the entire body not just the weapon or specific area.
If the balance was even slightly disturbed the power was drastically halved so it was a very difficult herbivoice that even a decent number of graduates would find difficult to follow.
However Ronan was able to use the spinning sword perfectly just by looking at it once.
There are nine people remaining. Ronan who overpowered Braum rushed towards the other students.
Kang!
“What is this!”
The blade whirled and tore through the wind. Ronan rotated horizontally vertically and diagonally and fired a sword strike towards his seniors’ weapons.
Kwajak!
“Shit! freshman!”
Pow!
“Ah that’s my favorite spear!!”
Metal sounds and burst sounds rang out continuously. Each time Ronan’s body rotated his broken-handled weapon bounced into the air.
There was no conversation among the shocked faculty. Nabirose who was watching the sparring match laughed.
“Did you take it then?”
Nabi Rose recalled how during his practical exam he pointed his sword at Ronan’s neck. That was the only time I could steal his skills. You could tell just by looking at him that he only used the spinning sword which was the third of the nine herbivores.
He said ‘I should have shown you some other herbivores.’
Only one month has passed since the practical exam. Butterfly Rose trembled with the elation of finally finding his successor but twisted his lips as if he was feeling sad.
“But the cocky side still remains. Are you trying to be a clown?”
Ronan was swinging his sword at a deliberately slow pace. The reason was unknown. However it was noticeable that the swordsmanship was several times slower than what was shown during the practical test.
Enough to be visible to the general public.
“Waaah! Awesome Ronan! Ugh! Everyone that’s my younger brother!”
Iril cried out Ronan’s name. The sight of Ronan brilliantly subduing more than ten opponents was incredible even for Iril who knew nothing about swords.
Ronan smiled when he saw that.
‘I guess this is enough for a skill show.’
Kachang! As Ronan’s body spun again Nasudo’s weapon shattered. Nasudo looked blankly at the rapier with only the hilt remaining.
“…Shit.”
Nasudo threw down the hilt of his sword. He no longer had anyone carrying a weapon except Ronan.
No sound was heard from either side of the audience. Kratir silently took out his pocket watch and checked the time.
The time it took to defeat ten seniors was exactly 2 minutes and 28 seconds.
“…Whew.”
A shiver ran through my whole body. This is how a diver who found gold in the river bottom must feel.
The joy of being an educator. It was the moment when Kratir was about to declare the result of the competition.
“Thank you for your effort. “Seniors.”
Ronan who had led the way suddenly bowed. There was still silence so everyone could hear Ronan’s voice. The first to react was Marya who was sitting in the audience.
“Why is he like that?”
Marya frowned as if she had seen a dog that had been hit and killed by a carriage. Considering Ronan’s usual behavior it was an unthinkable action. Ronan looked at each second year student and opened his mouth.
“It was a good fight. I wanted to see how far my sword could reach. “Once we committed it we all had great skills so you don’t know how nervous we were.”
The discouraged second graders looked up. People’s eyes widened.
The tone of his speech was as if he had become a completely different person. Ronan continued his words in a way that humbled himself and raised the self-esteem of his seniors.
“I was so young that I couldn’t suppress my blood. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my seniors who accepted my reckless and rude request.”
The crowd began to stir. The negative impression of Ronan was becoming diluted. Ronan lowered his head as if driving a wedge. Be polite but not servile.
“It was Ronan a freshman in the martial arts department.”
The area fell into silence again. After finishing his long speech Ronan slowly raised his head and looked at Iril.
“…Ronan.”
She was looking at herself wiping her eyes with her handkerchief. Ronan smiled slightly. Looking back it was a perfect plan.
Ronan really wanted to reassure Iril. The apology just now was also part of that process. A child’s friendships along with her health are her parents’ number one concern.
It wasn’t enough for her to simply know that she was good at ssambakjil. She had to be reassured that she could get along well with the people around her.
At that level my worried sister would be able to put her mind at ease. Even after sending my only family member to a distant island I would be able to live with a smile like always.
When I remembered her face it was no wonder that I bowed my head like this.
Look at this sister. I can do it well.
“Such a lovely junior!! “I can’t believe I misunderstood!!”
At that time Braum’s voice rang out breaking the silence. Braum came running towards her grabbed Ronan’s arm and lifted him up.
“Don’t say that Ronan! You beat us all fair and square! “I Braum approve!!”
“I was lucky.”
“Hahahaha! A humble genius this is unlucky!! Principal!! “Please declare me the winner!”
“…Oh that’s right.”
Kratir came to his senses belatedly and looked at the second graders. I noticed a much softer side than before.
“…You were a better kid than I thought right?”
“I know. “I thought you were a fool living for your own taste.”
“Reassuring! freshman!”
Kratir recalled what Ronan had said. As she entered her twilight years she reacted in a very adult way even in her own opinion. He brilliantly resolved an incident that could have caused an emotional breakdown.
“Then I will announce the winner. The winner of this ‘light greeting’ is…”
I didn’t know there was a side like that. Kratir smiled.
“First grade! Ronan is a student!”
“Waaaaaa!!”
The stagnant atmosphere heated up as if it were exploding. Thunderous cheers erupted regardless of camp. Kratir grabbed the air and pulled himself up.
– Coo coo coo coo!
Ronan’s feet soared creating a tall podium. Ronan who was in the air in an instant let out a curse.
“What the fuck?”
“Ronan! Ronan! Ronan! Ronan! Ronan…!”
From the top of the platform the scenery of Phileon was visible at a glance. This was where he would spend the next five years. A voice was heard chanting his name from far below him. Ronan laughed.
“It’s also noisy.”

The subsequent entrance ceremony went smoothly.
A simple greeting from the magic department was an overwhelming victory for the seniors. Except for Erzsebet the senior freshman all nine were defeated by sophomores.
“I’m sorry Erzebet!”
The defeated classmates bowed their heads towards Erzsebet. However the girl with purple hair haughtily turned her head towards him and clicked her tongue.
“Tsk.”
“Please forgive me!”
It looked just like a cat raised by a rich family. Hergé Bett eventually returned to the audience without accepting the apology from his classmates.
Asher crushed by her force was frightened by her and cowered.
“That kind of person is my motivation….”
“I know. “I feel like I’m screwed what should I do Asher?”
Various procedures were carried out and at the end the heads of each department Schlieffen and Erzsebet read the oath.
Things like focusing on learning and what the future will be like. The entrance ceremony ended with Kratir and the faculty sending congratulations once again.
“You’ve worked hard so you should let go right? The banquet will be held in the main hall of Gallerion Castle. “I hope everyone moves!”
Afterwards a banquet for new students was prepared but Iril as an observer was unable to attend. Ronan hurriedly left her banquet hall to see her off.
“Asher. I’m playing with Marya first. “I will see you off by myself.”
“Uh huh…!”
A carriage was already waiting in front of the main gate. Ronan carefully loaded up the items he had bought for his sister.
Even though she moved her load as slowly as possible she reached the end. Iril said.
“It was so so fun. “It was the happiest time of my life.”
“I’ll even say that.”
“no. My sister is really relieved now. “When can I meet you this time?”
“It’s summer vacation…about five months later.”
“Hehe it’s long. “But my sister doesn’t have to worry right?”
Ronan nodded. A pre-ordered carriage was waiting in front of the station. Sita who was sitting on Ronan’s shoulder rubbed her face against Iril.
“Pyeol~”
“Sita take care of yourself too.”
Iril was smiling brightly as always but her tone of voice betrayed her regret. She continued as she stroked her brother’s face.
“You have to eat well. One week. No write a letter once a month. You shouldn’t follow strange people. You can’t bully your friends just because you’re strong. “As for the girlfriend… when she starts dating she has to tell her sister.”
“I’ll think about the last two.”
Ronan smiled slyly. Iril laughed and tidied up Ronan’s collar.
“Then I’ll go.”
Iril got into her carriage. Ronan waved her hand until her carriage became a small dot and disappeared. Sita who was staring at the spot she had left lowered her head.
“Bwauuung…”
The four wings were drooping. Although it was only two days they seemed to have a lot of affection. Ronan sighed as he looked at the spot where her carriage had left.
“Five months.”
It was too long. In fact if we wanted to meet we could meet every weekend. Because we were allowed to leave the premises on weekends.
But Nimburton was too far for that. The round trip alone would have taken two full days. Ronan who was thinking about something about her muttered.
“In the system… how much does a decent house cost?”
It was a problem that would be solved once Iril came back to the system. For the first time in her life she felt the need to save money.
But she had no intention of focusing on that right away. Money would accumulate gradually anyway so that wasn’t the most important thing right now.
– If you want to learn go to Phileon.
‘at las.’
She never for a moment forgot her words of Ade Shan. She had a lot going on but she somehow succeeded in achieving her primary goal. Ronan turned her steps toward Phil Leon.
“Sita. let’s go.”
“Bye!”
It was just the beginning.
