195. North Road (1)
#195
“Say hello. “She is my wife.”
“…Wife?”
Ronan’s eyes widened. The woman from her hiding place showed her face again. Her bronze skin and clear facial features were impressive. He belatedly realized the true nature of the déjà vu he felt from her and took a deep breath.
“oh my god.”
She was none other than something she had actually seen. She was dark and gloomy the woman who had been sleeping in the glass coffin in Jarrodin’s laboratory. She is his wife whom Zarodin tried to save even at the cost of everything.
Her name was Sunya. Ronan asked startled.
“Holy shit are you fully alive now?”
“okay. Her memory and spirit have not fully returned yet. “Basically he is afraid of people so he only goes for short walks in the early morning when no one is around.”
Jarodin nodded. This was truly something so amazing that it couldn’t even be said. I even heard that it opened her eyes but I never thought such an achievement could happen in two years.
“Anyway…you’ve changed a lot Ronan. “It’s almost unrecognizable.”
“I did grow a little taller.”
“No from an internal perspective. Her own core came alive. “I assumed it would take several more years to reach this point.”
Jarudin narrowed his eyebrows. Ronan suddenly realized that his eyes were fixed on his chest. For a moment I had forgotten that this person was an overwhelming leader in the mana field.
“A lot of changes have occurred especially around the heart. Now I think I can use mana no different from other students. Am I right?”
“That’s right. “It has improved a lot.”
“You have amazing speed… I will soon devise a new mana practice method and teach it to you so keep that in mind.”
His tone was still extremely cold-hearted. It was very wizard-like to skip the greetings about how you were and get straight to the point.
In fact it must have been because of that kind of persistence that he achieved the feat of resurrection that no one else has been able to achieve. Rodin who continued to examine Ronan narrowed his eyes.
“But…why do I feel Navardose’s energy in you? “Is it because of my mood?”
For a moment I got goosebumps. For a moment I had forgotten that the spark of the beginning had been implanted in my heart. It didn’t really matter if he told the truth but judging by his desire to explore I had a feeling that the future would be very very troublesome. Ronan opened his mouth avoiding his gaze.
“Uh…I guess so? “I was with you a little while ago and then came back.”
“I heard that too. Well that can’t be possible. “The spark of the beginning within the human body.”
Ronan swallowed thickly. As expected he understood it accurately. Jarudin muttered quietly.
“…I can’t even imagine what will happen when all the curses are lifted.”
Ronan didn’t know it but Jarudin was feeling not only admiration but even a little fear. Ronan now seemed to be using about 40% of his full potential. It was my first time meeting and greeting him and I had heard of his activities but I couldn’t believe that it was all accomplished with only 40% of his strength.
‘Has a second morning star risen in the empire?’
It was the car that Jarudin drooled over. Ronan hearing the word curse suddenly snapped his fingers.
“that’s right. “Where on earth has Professor Secret gone?”
“hmm?”
It was a name I had long forgotten. He came out after 2 years of residency and he was the first person I spoke to and I hadn’t seen his face until now.
Judging by the fact that Separaccio was covered in dust it seemed like a long time had passed since he had been away and there was so much going on that he couldn’t even ask other people. Now Rodin shook his head from side to side.
“…If it’s him I haven’t heard from him in quite some time. “He’s such a changeable person but it seems like it’s definitely taking a long time this time.”
“Do you know where he went?”
“It’s the North. “He left saying he was looking for a way to drive winter out of the islands.”
This time it was the North again. In the case of Elthea as well is there something sleeping in the land of the North that possesses people?
“thank you.”
“Nothing will happen. “Because he is a very powerful wizard.”
Jarodin said. Ronan didn’t plan on taking any action anyway so he just said thank you. If you’re lucky you’ll meet him in the north.
After finishing the main topic the two people were finally about to return to talking about their current situation. Sunya tugged on Jarudin’s sleeve.
“Jarodin.”
“hmm? Why are you doing that? ma’am.”
Jarodin turned around. It was creepy to see the tone of voice suddenly become more friendly. Sunya was holding her sleeve and staring at his face. Ronan shrugged his eyebrows.
“What did I hear wrong? “I think I just called your name.”
“It is one of two words that sunya can say. If you look closely it seems like you remember as much as I do.”
“What is the other one?”
“that…”
It was the moment when Jarudin answered something. Sunya who was quietly looking up at him suddenly furrowed her brow. She let go of her sleeve and shouted flinging her cream on Zarodin’s solar plexus.
“Bad!”
“Wow!”
puck! Sunya’s fist went deep into Jarudin’s abdomen. It was such an accurate blow that even Ronan who couldn’t handle wear inchworms was impressed. Zarodin groaned briefly and fell to the ground clutching his stomach with both hands.
“Keuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu….”
“Bad!”
But Sunya was not satisfied there. Suddenly she kicked Zarodin with her foot knocked him down climbed on top of his chest and began her beating in earnest. Every time his fist struck his poker-like body a deathly groan escaped Za Rodin’s mouth.
“Keuuk! “Kwaauk!”
The speed at which the fist was struck was unusual. It seemed like he was someone who had expertly trained in fighting as he put his weight behind each punch. Now that I think about it you said he was originally in charge of Zarodin’s vanguard. Ronan hurriedly grabbed both of her arms from behind and stopped her.
“What the fuck are you doing now?”
“Bad! Jaradin is bad!”
Sunya trembled like a leopard caught in a trap. Although her strength was incredibly strong considering her size it was impossible for her to escape Ronan’s restraints. Rodin the slut-mate opened her mouth.
“Let me go… haha this is my karma….”
“Can you make a sound like that even after being beaten like that? “Are you going to come to your senses only after pooping?”
“You remember… what I… did to her wife… ooh ooh ooh!”
Jarodin spitting out what was inside staggered and got up. For a moment a scene of a conversation with him in the lab flashed through his mind.
“…aha.”
Ronan remembered her evil deeds committed by Jah Rodin. He welcomed her as his wife and treated her as if she did not exist just because she was embarrassed because she was native.
‘I’m sure it’s her wife.’
When she thought about it she felt like she could have been beaten a little more. The moment Ronan released her power from her arms she leapt like a wild monkey and lunged at Xarodin.
“Kyaaaaaaaa!”
“Ugh…!”
Jarodin gritted his teeth. In fact he could have blocked it with earth magic if he wanted to but he had no intention of doing so even if a knife was at his throat. It was enough to hurt her wife once.
Still her beating was painful so he closed his eyes tightly. Judging from the direction of the flying fist it was my right rib this time.
But no matter how long she waited the shock that ripped through her stomach did not occur. Jarodin opened his eyes slightly. Her wife who had returned to her angelic calm face was lightly squeezing her own sleeve.
“…ma’am?”
“Jarodin. hungry.”
Sunya said. Jarudin’s eyes grew so big that they almost popped out. Unless his ears were wrong it was definitely a different word from what he used to say. Ronan who was watching from the side couldn’t help but be embarrassed.
“Didn’t you just say you were hungry?”
“…okay. “It’s the third word.”
Jaradin’s eyes were red. Sunya tilted his head. It seemed like a historic moment in its own way. He wiped his eyes with his sleeve and looked at Ronan and said.
“Anyway I’m glad you’re doing well Ronan. “See you often.”
“Uh…yeah.”
Ronan nodded his head dumbfounded. It wasn’t that he didn’t have something he wanted to ask but he felt like he shouldn’t touch it now. Zarodin said taking his wife’s hand.
“Then let’s go. ma’am.”
“Bad!”
Then Sunya put her fist into Jarudin’s side again. It seemed like his mind was still going back and forth. A loud sound rang out but Jarudin gritted his teeth and resisted the fall. He took a deep breath and opened his mouth.
“That’s right…I’m bad. “Wow I did something really bad to you.”
“Jarodin?”
“So… do whatever you want… I won’t hurt you any more…”
Jarrodin put his arm around his wife’s shoulders. Sunya was staring at him her big eyes blinking. Eventually Rodin who came to her senses held her hand again and started walking her. I don’t know if Sunya was angry or not but she didn’t resist anymore.
“That’s right.”
Ronan watched the two people until they left the square and disappeared. It was really scary to see love turn the cold-hearted Jaradin into such a tofu-like man. Ronan took steps towards the dormitory.
‘There are more reasons why the world should not be destroyed. It’s annoying.’
As he raised his head a group of stars scattering light as if sowing came into view. The small early morning moon was twinkling on the spire.
It wasn’t anything compared to what I saw at Drimoore Fortress but it was still a pretty sight to see.
****
“Why is it between us Ronan-kun? Please satisfy this old man’s curiosity.”
“You said nothing really happened so why do you keep doing that?”
A week has passed since we returned from Drimoore. The most peaceful days continued. Although Kratir and the Emperor persistently asked what happened with Navarre Ronan stuck to his consistent answer to the end.
“The Mother of Fire took humans aside. Is that possible? “I’m asking you this so please…!”
“I actually said the same thing to His Majesty the Emperor. “Nothing really happened.”
Ronan was able to shake off Kratir only after eight days of persuasion. He was definitely a magic person but compared to the emperor who gave up after three days he was a bit shabby. Of course I was lying to both of them.
‘It’s still too early for humanity to accept this information.’
Ronan who was reading the report twisted his mouth. The paper which had been magically incinerated automatically upon completion of reading contained the news that three branches of Nebula Clage had been subdued in the past five days. Two of the three branches were defeated by troops led by Jaifa.
‘It probably hasn’t even been that long since I got better. The old man is in good spirits.’
Ronan’s plan to stop and kill the Church was progressing smoothly. Jaipa got up from the hospital bed and was literally drinking Nebula Clazier.
The Imperial Army units that Ronan had given orders to under his authority were also performing quite well. The location information culled from the information received from Major Nemea and Russell showed a fairly high hit rate.
‘I have to go to the big branch myself anyway. ‘I hope you don’t overdo it.’
However I was worried that I would get screwed if I touched a huge branch too hastily. There was a reason why he asked me to handle only small and medium-sized branches. If someone like Darman showed up after being rushed in half-heartedly there would have been a huge loss of life again.
‘But he’s doing well so whatever.’
It was true that there were concerns but there was no alternative now. Except I believe in people and luck. Moreover he had something else to worry about.
‘A month? No it will take about two months. ‘I can’t figure it out.’
The day Ronan returned from Drimoore he immediately began making plans to travel north. When he went to Dainhar he had to be no less thorough in his preparations. His final destination the Sea of Ghosts as well as this and Heiran which he would reach before were extreme places that could never be ignored.
The good news was that summer would soon come. It is a time when the snowy fields of the North which seem to never melt soften and reveal their green skin.
If I were to go on a journey this was the only time. Adeshan who was organizing documents looked at Ronan and smiled.
“It’s so nice to see you after such a long time. “I was so busy with work that I couldn’t make time.”
“Sure.”
She was sitting in front of a platinum desk where only the student council president could sit. After hesitating once Ronan drank the tea cup in front of him in one go.
I don’t know what it was boiled with but it didn’t taste as bad as I thought. When she raised her head the unfamiliar sight of the student council room came into view. I had only heard rumors but this was my first time coming in person.
‘Anytime you look at it it’s a facility with a lot of money.’
I don’t know if all other academies are like this but I thought it would be believable to say that it was the place where the National Assembly was held. Perhaps because it was after school he and Adeshan were the only ones left.
“So what’s going on?”
“Ah…it’s nothing special I just have a few things to tell you. What you’ve done so far has been amazing right? “I got calls from all over.”
Adeshan said he was proud. He explained that a two-digit noble family and a three-digit knightly commerce company had contacted him saying they wanted to meet Ronan.
So Ronan was called to the student council even though it was after school. Since Adeshan had some business to attend to he just sipped his tea without making a fuss.
“aha. “It’s done.”
Adeshan finally got up after organizing all the documents. I was curious as to how I could pull the chair and not make a sound. He had an elegant appearance and demeanor that suited the position of student council president well.
“Then let me explain it to you one by one. First Baron Mondrian offered to hire me as a full-time knight as soon as I graduate. Please note that they say they will give you this amount as stipend just for field trips during summer vacation. But this is not the only place where such a proposal is made…”
Adeshan who sat across from Ronan explained the proposal he had received in detail. Most of them were looking for him after he graduated but there were quite a few requests just to stop by during the summer break.
“Wow it’s amazing. Are you willing to pay this much?”
It was something like asking him to grace a dinner party or watch his son’s swordsmanship but he was also saying that he would pay a salary that ordinary people could not even imagine. So much so that I don’t mind taking a few days off and working on a side job. Adeshan said with a hint of envy.
“Good Ronan. Now you don’t have to worry about the future. “Everyone wants you.”
“well….”
Ronan touched his chin. It was certainly a good offer but there was nothing that caught my attention. In the first place his purpose was not the documents but the person holding the documents. Ronan who had been quietly looking at Adeshan opened his mouth.
“senior.”
“huh?”
“Now that this is over let’s go on a trip with me during the vacation.”
“…to?”
