183. Walk around campus
#183
“My lieutenant has something to say. “In relation to what happened that day.”
Jaipa tapped the major on the shoulder. Ronan noticed that Adeshan’s breathing had become heavier. Ronan who belatedly recalled her trauma asked in a whisper.
“Shall we talk about it later?”
“No it’s okay.”
Ade Shan shook her head. She looked straight at the two prisoners like a person facing fear. Major Nemea strode forward and bowed her head. This lion was also so large that it seemed as if a huge wall had been built in front of her.
“I should tell you this first. sorry.”
It was a polite attitude that did not match his size. She apologized for causing her anger when she saw Ronan during the massacre. Ronan said.
“are you okay.”
“no. I committed too much rudeness back then. No matter how much of a situation I was in I should have maintained my composure… but it was because I was immature.”
Nemea continued her speech with her head bowed. As she expected the reason she was scared when she saw Ronan was because the eye color of her attackers resembled Ronan’s.
Her reasoning about Ronan was spot on. The identity of the attackers was Darman and Ajie Burst Sword Croden. Every time Nemea’s scarlet eyes flashed she explained her companions died in a spray of blood.
‘Damn it.’
Ronan twitched her lip. Having experienced the annihilation of all members of her unit except herself she knew how devastated the major felt. Ronan who had been quietly listening to her story waved her hand.
“It’s really okay so raise your head. “Even if it were me I would have lost my mind.”
“…thank you.”
Only then did Nemea raise her head. The fact that she felt like apologizing to someone even after going through something like that was something different even though she was a former member of the Imperial Knights. Ronan who was looking up at her opened her mouth.
“You have other business right?”
“…yes. Since you look unwell I will tell you briefly. “I overheard the raiders’ conversation that day.”
“yes?”
“It was obscured by the rain but I heard it clearly. “It was mostly just small talk but I also occasionally heard things that sounded out of the ordinary.”
This was possible because she was a wear lion with excellent hearing. Nemea said they mentioned a specific place. She didn’t know where Nebula Clazier was going next but that alone was valuable information.
She said that Nemea would soon write down and send to her what she had heard. She added that since she was escorted to Ajiegaro Dolan the only one left alive in Farzan she would also collect the information extracted from her. After finishing speaking she lowered her head again.
“Then I’ll see you again soon. Please take good care of yourself.”
“I’m having a hard time.”
The two prisoners left the room. Jaipa left a bottle of Perennial Snowflake distilled liquor on the nightstand as a visitation gift. The fact that this was Phileon Academy seemed like a good thing. Like a crazy tiger.
She somehow had a feeling that she would see Jai Pawa often in the future. Suddenly Adeshan who was next to me sighed. Ronan asked worriedly.
“Are you really okay?”
“Whoa…it’s a lot better now.”
Ade Shan caught her breath. She did not look away from Jaifa until the end. It was amazing that she was able to maintain her composure to this extent. No matter what anyone says Jaifa was the person who caused her family to fall apart.
She got along so well with him that Ronan often forgot that Xyfar was the leader of the Great Alliance of Northern Beasts that gave rise to the Night of the Fangs. Ronan held Ade Shan’s hand until she regained her breathing. It wasn’t long before she completely regained her composure and burst into laughter.
“huh. I’m really okay now. “Her hands got bigger.”
“thank god.”
“Anyway you said you developed Auror what kind of ability is it?”
“Uh…it’s a bit difficult here I’ll go out and show you.”
She said as Ronan looked at La Mancha leaning against her wall. It felt too flashy to be used indoors. She said Ade Shan.
“really. All of your members went to club activities together. I’ll probably be back tomorrow. “Erzebet went to the Dawn Magic Tower to receive training.”
Even without Ronan her special adventure club was going well. Their latest activity was to tour (attack) a griffon nest that resulted in casualties. It wasn’t as bad as when Ronan was around but it was still crazy enough for ordinary students to see.
“It’s nice to see everyone living a busy life.”
Ronan nodded at her with a satisfied smile. At that moment the door to the nurse’s office burst open and her familiar faces came in one after another. Schlieffen Nabirose and Iril. The sister clapped her hands and shouted as her eyes met Ronan’s.
“My little brother finally woke up!”
“Sister?”
“Do you know how worried I was? huh?”
Iril came running after a month and hugged Ronan. The traces of her tears were already clearly visible on her cheeks. This seemed to have caused concern again. Iril who had been caressing her sister’s face for a while turned to Schlieffen and said
“Thank you so much Mr. Schlieffen. “For saving her sister.”
“Do your job. “I just did it.”
Schlieffen answered like a broken machine. Ronan shrugged his eyebrows at the inexplicable sound.
“What do you mean saved?”
“It was Schlieffen who carried you all the way to Gran Farzan. You’re okay now but your condition at the time was a bit serious. A typical mana overload phenomenon occurred and the fever boiled over.”
As a butterfly I answered on behalf of Schlieffen who was suffering from dementia. Ronan who had reached her potential with Lin’s power was in serious condition but thanks to Schlieffen transporting him within an hour quick emergency treatment was possible. Ronan looked back at Schlieffen with a very surprised expression.
“I am indebted to you. thanks.”
“It was heavy.”
Schlieffen blurted out. Her eyes were still fixed on Iril. Ronan chuckled at the consistent appearance. With butterflies I looked at La Mancha in her transformed form and opened her mouth.
“Is that what became the holy sword?”
“Right.”
“That’s amazing. “I thought it was something from a fairy tale.”
After hearing Ronan’s words she shed pure admiration. Nabirose relayed the news that all of the survivors of that day including Alogin were safe.
They talked for quite some time about what had happened in Farzan. The conversation was just about to come to an end. Adeshan tugged on Nabirose’s sleeve as she was about to leave the room.
“Hey I’ve been meaning to ask you for a while….”
“hmm?”
“Isn’t this…Ronan’s cloak? Why did the instructor do this…”
Ade Shan tugged at her tail. Her face which was smiling awkwardly somehow felt uneasy. Nabirose shrugged her eyebrows.
“aha. “You mean this?”
It was given by Ronan to Nabirose whose clothes were torn during the fight with the Tortoise Sword. As she was about to reply casually she was suddenly cut off. A mischievous smile appeared on Nabirose’s lips as he looked at Ronan and Adeshan in turn.
“…Well it’s nothing special. “I felt sorry for myself for being naked so I just wore what they took off.”
“yes? “Huh what does it mean to be naked…”
“That’s literally it. This guy was a complete beast that day. “The energy reminds me of my childhood.”
Although it was true a somewhat distorted explanation came out of Nabirose’s mouth. Ade Shan covered his mouth with both hands. She looked back at Ronan who was breathing heavily compared to when she encountered Zyfar.
“you…!”
“No wait a minute. There are degrees of omitting the subject.”
Ronan laughed. Adeshan’s eyes were already watering. Nabirose who was twitching patted her on the shoulder and said.
“It’s a joke a joke. Then I’ll just leave. “The entrance ceremony is not far away so don’t overexert yourself and get some rest.”
Butterfly Rose left the nurse’s office with those words. His coat was still not taken off. At that time I noticed the head of a tobacco pipe sticking out of the outer pocket of my coat.
that’s right. I need to get that back too. Ronan was just about to get up.
“Where are you going?”
“senior?”
“You need to calm down.”
Adeshan said. She grabbed his wrist. Perhaps because he had been swinging the crossbow and whip so much his grip strength was unusual. Ronan even made hand gestures to complain about his injustice.
“You sure don’t believe that kind of thing do you? “You said it was a joke yourself.”
“huh. But I think I need to hear an explanation. “A little detail.”
The sudden calm demeanor was creepy. The eyes which had been shaking with agitation became cold and subdued. If I refused it wouldn’t be strange to use mind control.
Eventually Ronan sat down again. He had to explain every detail what happened in the holy city of Farzan from the beginning. It was three hours later that Ronan was allowed to get up.
****
After being discharged from the hospital Ronan immediately returned to the dormitory. Even though he returned after a month his room was kept clean and free of dust. It was all thanks to his exclusive maid Lucy. Ronan greeted her warmly as she played ball with her sita.
“It’s been a while. “Lucy.”
“Oh my god Ronan! “You still look tired. Are you okay?”
“There’s still a lot of work to do. “Take this.”
Ronan gave Lucy a tip close to her salary and then sent her out of his room. The pale-faced woman knocked on her door saying she couldn’t accept something like this but he completely ignored her.
“Damn it’s been a while since I’ve written anything so my handwriting is terrible.”
The first thing he did was to summarize what had happened in Farzan and report it to the emperor. Sita who served as a messenger delivered the report to the imperial palace and returned in just five minutes. After completing his task Sita fiercely pressed her face against Ronan’s cheek as if to make up for her absence for the past month.
“Bye! Bwaaaa!”
“Okay okay. “I missed you too.”
Ronan gently stroked Sita who was now the size of a large dog. Somehow if it got a little bigger it seemed like it could carry people and fly.
The reply was very fast. The white falcon which carried only the royal edicts knocked on the window of the dormitory with its beak less than an hour after Sita’s return.
-Knock knock. Tok tok tok tok tok.
“Your personality is so impatient. “Wait a minute man.”
Ronan checked the letter tied to the falcon’s ankle. He checked the report and told me to get a good rest as the results of the meeting would come out soon. Gratitude and praise for hard work were written in the emperor’s handwriting.
Grumble! When the edict was read in full the enchanted paper spontaneously burned and disappeared. Ronan who was smoothing his chin muttered quietly.
“What are you going to do now? Nebula Clage.”
It was easy to predict that many changes would occur in the future. Just looking at those who survived Farzan at the time there were many influential figures from all walks of life on the continent. They would tell their acquaintances the bizarre events they had experienced in Farzan.
‘We will turn the world into an enemy in earnest.’
Ronan who had competed with Lycopos was confident. He could still win. They were certainly strong but they were not enough to defeat the absolute power of the nation. I could see why they didn’t start an all-out war.
‘There is a reason why the powerful were eliminated one by one.’
The momentum had to be completely broken when there was a chance of victory. It was good to kill all the giants but what was even better was to prevent the Advent incident itself from happening. After completing the most urgent business Ronan left the room. The destination was Kratir’s office.
‘I should tell you this opportunity.’
Of course Kratir would have heard the news but he would have been able to convey more accurate information if he had spoken directly. Phileon who returned after a month was extremely peaceful.
The students who returned to spring were not wearing thick coats. A variety of flowers were blooming beautifully in the flower bed. The chaos and tragedy that occurred in Farzan all seemed like a one-night dream.
Suddenly Ronan’s eyes fell on the sword clanking at his waist. La Mancha where Lin resided still maintained its strange shape. Approximately 70% of the blade’s body had turned pure white making it look like a tree that had been glued together. Ronan who was staring at his sword opened his mouth.
“Lin.”
Even after waiting for a while there was no answer. Ronan smiled bitterly. She said she hadn’t spoken to Lynn since she left Farzan. It seemed that the blow of losing her body to Darman was greater than she expected.
She did not know whether she would be permanently unable to speak. She could clearly feel that Rin was alive and present within her sword. As if to disprove him her Rin’s scabbard was exquisitely tapping Ronan’s buttocks with each step she took.
‘…is this why you were so obsessed with her butt?’
She seemed to know why she was massaging other people’s butts so much. Ronan who was walking around her campus chuckled. Instead of grieving he decided to stick to what he could do with his sword. You never know. If I give him plenty of blood will he gain strength and be able to talk?
‘I’m going to fight a lot with my senior.’
Ronan imagined what it would be like when Rin had her own body again. If she sexually harassed him like she always did it was obvious that Ade Shan’s eyes would roll over. Ronan chuckled as he imagined the mess.
‘I think it might be fun.’
As he walked around thinking about this and that he arrived in front of the principal’s office. He was just about to knock. The closed door opened by itself and Kratir’s voice was heard.
“…come in.”
The voice was somehow weak. Ronan entered the room tilting his head. Kratyr was standing upright in front of his desk covering his face with his hands.
“It’s been a while Ronan… I’m really glad to see you but please forgive this old man for not welcoming me.”
“What’s going on?”
“Ah…oh my god.”
Instead of answering Kratir fell silent. When I removed his hand his face revealed an indescribable worry.
Suddenly Ronan noticed a piece of paper in Kratir’s hand. It was a handsome crimson bell made of much more luxurious material than that used to convey the emperor’s edicts.
Kratir stumbled as he read the letter again. He narrowly avoided falling by holding on to his desk. Ronan who couldn’t see it frowned. What are you doing in front of people?
“Why on earth are you doing that?”
“I’m sorry…I just can’t keep my composure. You know it too. “One of the students enrolling this time is the red dragon Itargand.”
“I know. “Why is that?”
Ronan tilted his head. There was no way he didn’t know that he had brought it there in the first place. Kratyr put down the paper and wiped his face.
“Well…the person who becomes my mother is visiting.”
“…yes?”
Ronan’s eyes widened. It was clear he had heard wrong. Or maybe this old man ended up suffering from a brain disease. However he proved that there was no problem in his head yet by clearly pronouncing what was about to happen.
“So it means that Navarre is coming in person.”
“Fuck.”
Ronan cursed. I immediately understood Kratir’s attitude. Navardose Mother of Fire. During the Advent incident that occurred in his previous life he was the only red dragon who captured the giant without dying.
