Episode 50
Episode 25. Demon Cave Subjugation Team (2)
Most of the mercenaries had no experience with demon caves. Yuma ordered Cindy to get books related to Margul and distribute them to the mercenaries.
Fortunately, there were no mercenaries who could not read.
After the interview, the mercenaries enthusiastically acquired knowledge about the demon cave because they paid a hefty down payment.
“Except for the two sword masters, the rest of the main weapons are spears and crossbows. Do you know how to deal with that?”
The mercenaries nodded.
It was natural for mercenaries to use all kinds of weapons, unless they were children from a prestigious aristocratic family who had only been taught pure swordsmanship.
There were many mercenaries who could use spears and crossbows as well as daggers and various memorized skills.
“I will give a small magic bomber as a special weapon to the three with the highest training performance. And for the first two subjugations, I will personally lead you.”
Yuma wrote a simple training manual and distributed it to the mercenaries.
During the Dragon Horse War, monsters were more common than street dogs. Naturally, there was no choice but to develop various tactics and coping skills, from civilians to soldiers.
And Yuma was also a survivor at the time. I was well aware of things like formations against monsters. Therefore, writing a manual was an easy task.
‘There are two sword masters, so even if I start right away, I’ll catch at least an orc or troll without difficulty.’
Yuma rented the entire training ground of one mercenary group in the capital.
Yuma’s subjugation party devoted himself to training to subdue demons here for a while.
The mercenaries had never experienced Yuma’s consideration for providing necessary items immediately and renting an inn with good lodging.
After examining the mercenaries’ personalities for several days, Yuma gave Aquin the position of subjugation unit commander and Geisel the highest appointment.
Aquin thought it was the last chance to turn Mirjak’s life around, so he trained more passionately than anyone else.
“It’s amazing to see this crazy business in action.”
said Puang, sipping his tea.
“Our subjugation team will be the organization with the highest authority over the demon cave in the future. I plan to build a separate headquarters for the punitive force in the near future.”
“By the way, who is the leader of the subjugation?
Is Yuma-sama doing it?”
“no. There is someone appointed.”
Yuma smiled and stood up from her seat.
The place where Yuma’s steps headed was the top of his car. The Jeka Merchant Corps was full of energy, unlike the previous time.
Servants were constantly carrying trade items or cleaning, with Jeka scratching her head as she dictated.
“I am here.”
As Yuma entered, the servants of the Zeka Merchants bowed their heads.
Somehow, they did not know the details, but it was because their owner did not have a seizure after going on a trip with Yuma.
No more drunken bullshit.
In the eyes of the servants, Yuma was nothing short of a savior.
Yuma went up to the room with Zecca and had a conversation.
“Why are you doing all your work?”
Yuma laughed and said.
“All support from the Rollmandy family has been cut off. It’s something I really like. But it’s hard to even pay the servants.”
“As expected, people must be hungry.”
Jecca laughed softly.
After being brought to the capital by Hayes, Zecca had never worked properly.
Even the top of the Jeka table set up by the Rollmandi family had never been properly rolled.
In other words, it was Zecca’s first time doing something similar to labor.
Zecca’s room still had traces of the fight with Yuma. The signboard with the writing erased and the old building were also intact. It was only natural that Rollmandy’s support was cut off.
“Hmm… I think the time has come for you to act as a proper person.”
Yuma said teasingly.
“So you are working hard? If you come here to make a mess, get out of here. Did you see it from below? I’m busy now.”
Yuma was proud of Zecca in his heart.
I suddenly learned many truths and it was decided that I would have to live with Magi in my heart for the rest of my life, so I wondered what would happen if I became a disabled person.
However, Jeka was somehow moving her body to take responsibility for the people who followed her.
“Ugh, I came here because I was thinking of tearing down this rotten building and building a new one…. If the owner tells me to turn it off, I should turn it off.”
When Yuma stood up, Zecca grabbed her sleeve.
“friend. I made a mistake. Take your time and go.”
“Not just.”
“What are the conditions?”
“You taking over the position of captain of our punitive force and merging the Jeka Merchant Merchant with the Puang Merchant Merchant.”
“hmm!”
Zecca rubbed her chin and looked at Yuma.
Certainly, the current financial situation of the Jeka Merchant Chamber was unanswerable.
It was the support of the Rollmandi family, which he hated terribly, but when it stopped, the servants who lived only for Jeka became a problem.
Jecca was contemplating whether she should leave the company’s job to Liz and pay for herself by working as a mercenary.
In the first place, since he was the owner of only horses and had never been in business, he thought that way would be much better.
“As soon as it is merged, the salaries of the servants will match the standards of the Puang Merchant. I’ll give you a special bonus based on your performance on top of your basic salary. I mean very loudly. Now, should I make Liz feel better?”
At the mention of Liz’s name, Jecca’s face turned red. It was because he remembered the mistakes he had made to his ex-lover.
He was obsessed with paying attention to Liz, his servant and his lover these days.
“There is nothing to do.”
“Is there anything wrong?”
“You just need to hit a monster in moderation. In and out of the demon cave.”
To a normal person, it meant just going to the demon cave and fighting and dying.
However, Yuma believed in Zeka’s skills and the performance of the Dragon Spear Civeline.
Jecca was a descendant of grandmaster Pidgin Karta before being the bastard of the Rolmandi family.
It meant that as long as he had the ability to control demonic energy, he could become stronger without Rolmandy’s spearmanship.
“Something like Caente?”
“That’s not a monster, it’s the highest level light spirit. Except for ogres, there is no monster stronger than Kaiente.
fall for a while Sellove or Dark Golem are a bit dangerous.”
Jeka pondered for a moment.
“It’s a good condition, but is it a problem that I can decide so suddenly?”
“You still don’t know me. It is a matter that must be decided immediately. Because this opportunity will never come again.”
“I know the damn thing. Instead, we need time to inform our business partners about the cleanup.”
“don’t worry. One of our competent staff will solve that part very quickly. Your few business partners will not lose money. Our top team is always unconventional.”
Yuma took Jeka back to Puang Sang Dan. He immediately ordered Cindy to go to the top of Jeka and clear things up as quickly and neatly as possible.
Cindy turned into a poop-chewed face and started preparing for the rain. It wouldn’t be strange if he collapsed from overwork at any time.
Cindy was resentful of her healthy body, having completed the special training of the imperial family.
Poin did not even ask, but offered to help Cindy. It was for the merger of the upper division, but the reason was that he could not be involved.
“Can I pamper you like that?”
“I’m on the lesser side. Kings are much worse.”
“You are not emperor or king.”
“Now it is.”
Even if he was immediately arrested and executed on charges of treason, it was a statement that would not be relatable. Jeka smiled and shook her head.
Yuma visited the training ground and introduced Zecca to the punitive squad.
“This friend is called Jecca. I am your boss. From now on, whether you are outside or inside the demon cave, follow Zecca’s orders carefully.”
The mercenaries were puzzled.
Yumaya was already famous and rumored, but Jeka was not.
It hurt his pride to follow the orders of Zecca, who seemed only a few years older than Yuma.
“From the look on your face, I know what you want to say.
Isn’t it difficult to follow a guy who’s just like this?”
The mercenaries laughed lightly as Yuma used a vulgar expression.
“In that sense, Aqueen! You should come out and try sparring with Zecca. Isn’t strength the standard of order among mercenaries? This friend has never served as a mercenary, so I don’t know about that.”
Aquin picked up the wooden sword hanging on one side of the training ground.
“no no. Take the sword.”
Aquin pulled out the sword he was wearing at his waist without throwing up.
It was a new steel sword that Yuma had saved.
Zecca spun the Syvellin on her back. Aquin was nervous when faced with Cybeline, who was unusual from the outside.
“Hey, you use a wooden stick over there. What Pidgin Carta mementos are you taking out of here?”
When the name Pidgin Carta came out, the mercenaries’ eyes changed. It was a name I deliberately came up with.
It was also true that Cybeline was a relic of Pidgin, but I couldn’t see it as being left to my car.
Yuma was half lying this time, too.
“Ah, this friend is a distant descendant of Pidgin Carta. Everyone must have heard of the name, right?”
The mercenaries, who had been suspicious of Jeka until just now, nodded their heads with shining eyes.
A descendant of Pidgin Carta!
If someone else had said that, he would have started cursing at me, telling me not to talk bullshit.
However, it was Yuma’s declaration that he was a disciple of Duran Jacques, Hugo’s hidden son, and molested the second princess Kyle every night. It was natural to believe.
‘This madman. What are you going to do if you wrap me up like that?’
Zecca wiped her flushed face with the palm of her hand once.
The mercenaries also thought that the people who fit Yuma were different from their backgrounds.
Realizing that sharks play with sharks and minnows should mingle with minnows is the world’s logic.
“i look forward to!”
Aquin said. Fighting with the descendants of Pidgin was a great honor in itself for a warrior.
He took off the piece of cloth covering his face in order to focus on the sparring.
When the piece of cloth that was blocking his vision disappeared, Miryak’s brand was revealed on his forehead.
‘It must have been Miryak.’
Zecca thought as she received the wooden baton thrown by Yuma.
“By the way, Aquin is a sword master.”
“what? I’m Mokbong…
“Let’s start!”
Aquin fiercely charged as if he were fighting for his life and death, not for sparring.
Zecca hurriedly wrapped her aura around her neck and struck Aquin’s sharp stab. Admiration flowed among the mercenaries.
Zecca wanted to use the iron bars from Yuma even now.
But I couldn’t. To the mercenaries, he was already a descendant of the great Grand Master Pidgin.
It was already spilled water. In the future, they were the subordinates he had to deal with like limbs.
Jeka had to finish this sparring in the best possible way. That way there won’t be back talk.
‘I can’t.’
Papa pat!
From the first attack, Zecca showed off a continuous spinning stab that contained the essence of Rollmandi’s spearmanship.
Even though it was a wooden stick, all the auras that Zecca could pull out were concentrated.
It was as fast as a flash.
Aquin realized that a total of three stabs were missing just before they hit his head, chest and stomach.
That if Zecca hadn’t stopped, he would have died.
The mercenaries forgot what to say and had no choice but to open their mouths.
If he was a proper sword master, he couldn’t have been defeated so helplessly by Zeka armed with a wooden pole.
Aquin, who was doing chores for the mercenaries, had no real combat experience for several years and was too ambitious to show his skills properly.
Jeka lifted her wooden stick and bowed to Aquin.
