“Well!” Hugo was stunned.
He knew that Jayden was arrogant and ignorant so taking him to meet with Leon in the hotel might just
make things worse. Hence he was unwilling to do it.
However Caleb and the elders were convinced by Jayden and all insisted that Hugo took him along.
No matter how hard he protested no one would listen and he felt devastated.
Just then Caleb’s phone rang. He took it out to have a look and said “It’s from the third elder!” “Caleb
maybe he found something about Cynthion Group.” Realization dawned on the other elders.
Due to Hugo’s tireless effort the day before Caleb sent the third elder to the southern region to look
into Cynthion Group’s background before deciding if he wanted the collaboration at all.
Since the third elder was calling they all knew that he likely found something.
“I think so!” Caleb said.
Though he already decided to accept Leon’s terms and work with Cynthion Group he still needed to
know more about the company.
Since the third elder was calling with information about Cynthion Group he decided that getting to
know what he was dealing with would not harm him.
With that thought in mind he answered the call. “Hello did you find anything useful?” Caleb cut to the
chase and asked.
“Caleb here’s what I found” the third elder reported everything he found hastily.
Meanwhile Jayden said to Hugo “Hugo why are you just standing there?
Let’s just head to the hotel to meet with Mister Wolf!” “Oh alright then!” Hugo said bitterly.
Since Caleb and the elders decided to send him and Jayden to meet with Leon and his protest was
ignored Hugo could only do as he was told and leave with Jayden.
He could only hope that Jayden could refrain from acting rude instead of provoking Leon further with
his arrogance like he did the day before.
If that happened partnering with Cynthion Group would only become more challenging.
While he worried about what may happen the situation took a drastic turn.
Caleb suddenly paled and his phone slipped out of his hand breaking into pieces as it hit the ground.
“Caleb what’s wrong?” The elders were taken aback and exchanged confused looks not knowing why
Caleb was acting this way.
“Wait! Hugo don’t leave yet!” Caleb snapped out of it and ignored the elders ‘ question to stop Hugo
and Jayden from leaving. 1
