245. With the dragon (2)

#245

The first floor of Sky Tower functioned as a lobby like other buildings. The wide space like a plaza was decorated with all kinds of luxurious statues and a chandelier the size of a small whale with a little bit of exaggeration.

The splendor was at a level that reduced the imperial palace ballroom to a simple village rest area. However dozens of minutes had passed since an unidentified explosion was heard from the bathroom and the rock of the world’s most prestigious tower had been transformed into a hell that even vagabonds would not go near.

Everywhere you looked there were corpses. There was a thick bloody smell that made me dizzy. The statues made of precious stones were shattered into pieces that looked like gemstones freshly mined from a mine.

The precious metals displayed to show off wealth were sparkling like crumbs in a pool of damp blood. Because the chandelier had fallen the space that was always lit was left in darkness not much different from outside at dawn.

Sigh! The sound of a blade piercing scales signaled the end of the battle.

【Gagging…!】

Dragon Pradvice’s eyes widened. The vertically narrowed pupils faced the back. He saw a long sword dug deep into the back of his neck and a human youth holding it.

He could easily tell that a vital point had been pierced. It was difficult for him to breathe as blood continued to fill his throat. The young man who was clutching the hilt with both hands pushed his sword deeper.

“Stop messing around now. “Dragon.”

【You bastard…】

“Compared to Naransonia or something she’s ridiculously weak.”

Pradvice gritted his teeth after hearing Ronan’s review. He never imagined that he would be subjected to this kind of insult from a human who was less than a bite away.

He should have chewed and swallowed it right away but he couldn’t move because his wings and limbs were trapped in the ice. It was not ordinary ice that neither broke nor melted. A chill as if drawn from the shadows of the underworld was consuming his body.

He later regretted that he should have killed the wizard first but it was already too late. He rolled his glossy eyes and looked at the wizard shivering in his corner.

【You damn wizard…!】

“Hey!”

Asher shrank his body with a force that would obliterate his existence. Regardless of his timid actions the chill of the ice was getting stronger.

The fresh blood flowing from Pradvice’s neck and mouth froze as it fell. Sigh… With a mournful sound the blood droplets that hit the floor shattered.

【I give it to you.】

Pradvice looked back at Ronan again and spoke as if regurgitating. The light went out in his eyes. Even if I twisted the blade once there was no response. Ronan who had confirmed complete death spat bitterly.

“I don’t have a place to rent even your curse.”

When Ronan pulled his arm La Mancha’s pure white sword body was pulled out. Because the surrounding temperature had dropped due to the chill of the ice steam rose above the wound.

A haze-like anticipation was wafting over the blade. The trait of drinking blood and increasing sharpness was still intact even though it was combined with the holy sword. As expected Rin’s voice saying that dragon’s blood was delicious was echoing in her head.

“What?”

Ronan jumped off of Pradvice’s body. As she turned her head her gaze fell on Asher who was trembling in the corner.

“I’m killing Asher. Now I can just turn into an ice mage.”

“I can’t believe I trapped a dragon….”

“Be proud of your magic man. “I tell you this many times but the only thing you lack is confidence.”

Asher who was muttering nodded his head. For someone who had contributed greatly to dragon hunting he had a very passive attitude.

When Pradwiche and his men came upon us just after coming out of the bathroom I thought we were all going to die but when we actually fought the fight ended without much trouble than expected.

He felt it was a good thing he had left Vajra behind. If she had seen this scene her self-proclaimed teacher the Winter Witch would have been talking loudly all day. Ronan said.

“Hey we’re done here.”

“This side is over too. “I can’t even warm up.”

Orsay turned around. Blood was dripping down the spiral-shaped spear blade. There were more than thirty punctured bodies of half-dragons and familiars scattered around him. Blood of different characteristics was mixing and coagulating repeatedly creating a red carpet.

Above the long spear close to the pillar Orsay’s unique black energy was rising like smoke. Orsay swung or stabbed every enemy only once and no opponent could withstand two strikes.

‘What on earth is that made of?’

Ronan shook his head as if he was fed up. I don’t know what material he used but it had incredible durability and destructive power. Perhaps if that bastard had been in charge of Pradvice things would have been done faster. I was in the middle of thinking that.

“Monsters monsters….”

His bearded sentry spoke for the first time in a long time. He was sitting in front of the bathroom entrance just like before the battle started.

He was the only survivor of this hell. The comrades who came after hearing the explosion were killed in the blink of an eye. Every time Ronan and Orsay’s spear knife drew a line in the air their bodies were torn apart like thin paper.

I knew it was strong but I never thought it would kill even the dragon Pradvice. Ronan slowly approached him and stopped in front of him.

“good. “Then let’s finish the story.”

“I’ll tell you anything. So at least your life…!”

He desperately rolled his eyes but there was no sign of his reversal. The translucent curtain covering the entire lobby was swallowing his hopes.

It was a soundproofing spell that Asher in front of me installed at the beginning of the battle. This was the reason why reinforcements did not come even while a massacre was taking place under the pretense of fighting. Ronan said.

“First things first. “Where is my friend?”

“Ah if you are talking about the dark blue-haired swordsman he is most likely on the third floor. That entire floor is Radavankaja’s rare. “There will be an interrogation going on there.”

“It’s the 3rd floor…but it’s not that high.”

Ronan nodded his head. Of course he couldn’t just like it. There are definitely guys like this on every floor.

“When you think about it why not go up outside?”

“I don’t think rice is a very good idea. “Did you move outside when you went to the summit?”

“however.”

“We were aware of that so more troops were deployed outside. “You will probably be intercepted the moment you are discovered.”

Ronan heard those words and looked out the window. Indeed dozens of dragons were seen circling in the air. Soldiers transformed into half-dragons were walking around the tower holding torches or standing in place on guard duty.

“Nimi.”

Ronan chewed his lower lip. It was a scene that made you swear. At that level it seemed better to go up from the inside.

“…I can’t help it. “Let me ask you one more thing.”

“yes?”

“The four moons have arrived but where is the Dragon King?”

Ronan asked again. He was curious from the beginning but when he looked outside he became even more suspicious. It was an emergency of this magnitude and I could not understand why the most powerful person did not step forward.

‘I don’t think you’re the type to just sit around and snap your fingers.’

Moreover the deployment of troops was strange. If one was thinking of catching an intruder like Orsena himself it would have been better to disperse the troops more.

However most of the dragons and servants were only located around Sky Tower. As if trying to protect something in the tower. The sentry who was hiccuping shook his head.

“That’s true for me too… I guess he’s probably in the throne room?”

“Don’t make a fuss. “Do you want to lie down there with your friends?”

Ronan extended his index finger and pointed at his corpses. Colleagues who had snorted at the prospect of a fight were crushed under the chandelier and turned into unrecognizable pieces of flesh.

“I really don’t know. “His Majesty’s personal movements are kept completely secret…”

The sentry’s face turned blank. Ronan who was staring at him spat on the floor.

Judging by his reaction it seemed like he really didn’t know. He felt like he would have to catch those who were a little taller and beat them up. I don’t know if those proud dragons will obey.

“Oh shit.”

Ronan sighed and swung his sword. Sgak! A thin slash passed over the engraving on the sentry’s neck.

The pattern symbolizing the owner crumbled and disappeared. The sentry who felt the strength leaving his body grabbed his neck and tied it up.

“Huh! “What have you done…!”

“You are no longer a servant or anything.”

Ronan blurted out. It was in its own way a hush-hush with the implication of not making a fuss. There was a high chance that an ordinary human walking around the castle would be attacked at first so he wouldn’t be able to go out recklessly.

“Stay here and get out when the sun rises. “If I said something unnecessary…”

“Ro Ronan! “It’s dangerous!”

Ronan was in the midst of making threats. Suddenly Asher’s cry rang out. Sensing a threat he raised his head. A torrent of crimson seething flames was approaching right in front of his eyes.

“What…!”

The speed of the fire was faster than expected. Ronan quickly grabbed the guard by the neck and bit himself. He escaped completely but unfortunately the sentry’s lower body was engulfed in flames. A blood-curdling scream erupted.

“Kaaaaaaaa! “Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”

“shit.”

Ronan frowned. Soon the fire died down. Only black scorch marks remained where the sentry’s lower body had been.

The struggling sentry went limp. Ronan who threw away the half-body turned to look in the direction where the flames were shot.

“What is that again?”

“Khaaaaaak!”

A dozen drakes the size of a house were coming down the huge stairs. The advancing dinosaurs spewing black smoke from their mouths were reminiscent of living siege weapons.

The wide staircase that suddenly appeared on the north side was clearly a structure that did not exist originally. It looked like it had probably just been created through magic or some strange method. Actually it’s even weirder that there isn’t such a device.

“We found them! Catch it!”

someone shouted. The troops pouring down from the upper floors included half-dragon soldiers who had cut off triple digits just today. A woman dressed in flowing silk clothes was riding on the back of the largest drake.

【Oh hoho! I thought something was strange so I came down and looked and it was there as expected. Your indulgence ends here!】

She covered her mouth with the back of her hand and burst out laughing. Her nasal laughter echoed in a room full of corpses. Anyone could see that it was a polymorph dragon.

“Hi! “How!”

Asher was astonished. Judging by the fact that the silence force field was still intact it seemed like he had really been struck by instinct. muttered Orsay brushing the blood off her spear.

“It’s annoying. “Why are there so many miscellaneous dragons?”

【They say the weaker you are the more ostentatious you become. That’s exactly what it is. You demon dragon you don’t even know the topic. You are this Alan…Kyaaaaa!】

A woman who tried to give her name let out her screams. Kwasik! The Spear of Orsay which had blown off her left arm pierced through the top of Drake’s head behind her before sinking into the wall on the other side.

She was instantly crippled spitting out her words laced with curses. The enemy camp was in confusion. Ronan took advantage of that moment and rushed forward.

He dug deep into enemy territory and swung his sword. Suddenly! The head of the Drake the woman was riding rose into the air.

【What!】

“Kuhuhuhhh….”

Her headless body tilted. Her head soaring high in the sky spun around. The fresh blood sprayed in a circle added a red color to the already gory space.

“Catch the old guys!”

The soldiers who belatedly came to their senses strengthened their fighting spirit. The dragon woman who had fallen down let out a cry and got up. It seemed like she was thinking of returning to her original form as scales began to appear on her face.

Ronan who was watching her clicked her tongue. It seemed like her comfortable climbing routine had already gone wrong. The only consolation was that I could go up to the third floor if I got rid of those things.

“이 개새끼. “Just try to die.”

With that Rin Ronan grabbed the hilt of her sword. Asher’s ice grew through her floor and pierced through the enemy running at her lead. thud! Drake’s spinning head fell to the ground and the battle resumed.
