If it was confirmed that the Demon Lord killed Yonas the Thompsons were willing to risk everything to retaliate but at this moment there was no telling if the Demon Lord was truly involved.
If the Thompsons took the initiative to hunt the Demon Lord down the Demon Lord would do everything in his power to hurt the Thompsons and the Thompsons would find themselves in an extremely dangerous position.

Though the Dragon Guards determined that Yonas died of a second blow to his injury they were not able to provide any firm evidence and words alone could not make Leon any less of a suspect.
Because of that August still believed that Leon was the one who killed Yonas.
