Don’t worry-he’s only just attained the Overlord State and the reason I lost to him was because I still carried some old injuries from my previous fight and I severely underestimated him! he’s all of his own and with the help of your fellow martial artists you can defeat him easily!”
Harold added. He was not an idiot and could easily deduce that since Leon just attained the Overlord State there was no doubt he was yet to gain full control over his powers and was thus vulnerable.
However the last time he ambushed Leon he suffered serious injuries as a result of George’s attacks and was yet to fully recover from them.
Therefore he was convinced that this was the reason he lost to Leon- after all Leon was at the same power level as he was and there was no way he would lose to him!
“But” Melvin was still a little worried. He knew that Leon just attained the Overlord State and he could easily defeat Leon considering he was at the Overlord State for some time now and he had the rest of the Youngs by his side but he did not think it was worth the risk!
“No buts! Master Young if you help me kill Leon I’ll return all of Young Group’s shares to you!” Harold declared trying to make his offer even more attractive.
He was convinced that Melvin would eventually relent at this!
“What? Do you mean it?” an expression of delight crossed Melvin’s face and he immediately began to contemplate this.
Harold previously promised to return only half of the Young Group’s shares and keep the remainder for himself. This would pose limitations on the Youngs’ power but now that Harold was willing to give back all of the Young Group’s shares this was no doubt good news!
Melvin would be able to reclaim the Youngs’ power as long as he agreed to help Herold!
“Yes I mean it!” Harold nodded.
“Alright I’ll do it!” Melvin finally relented. Then with a sweep of his arm the Youngs charged toward Leon with Melvin in the lead.
Both Albert and Gilbert were exasperated by this.
“Melvin did you get kicked in the head by a donkey? I can’t believe you’re still willing to help Harold fight us at this stage!” Albert screamed.
“Albert I’m sorry but I’m doing this all for the sake of our family’s blood sweat and tears” Melvin replied sighing.
“You!” Albert was so outraged his entire face turned scarlet but there was nothing he could do about this.
Leon watched in silence all this while but finally could not help interfering. “Master Young seeing that you’re Iris’s great-uncle I’m going to give you one last chance. If you’re smart enough to wake up to your
mistake right now you’ll join my forces against Harold. When I kill him I will be able to help you take back
what’s rightfully yours!
“However if you insist on helping the wrong party I won’t show you any mercy!”
